It was a blast!…read more The were celebrities everywhere, from the Mayor of Carson City, to Miss Carson City with her crown and sash, to an awesome signer and violinist. There was an ice sculpture. There were fancy hors d'oeuvres and desserts. There was beer, wine, and water. The head honcho from Prestige Care, which has locations throughout the western US, came here all the way from Washington, I believe it was.. The were so many people I had trouble maneuvering to the front to see the speakers and even get water. The center went all the way to impress people. This event had been advertised for months in the Nevada Appeal. And it was packed. Good thing I came early, as I got the tour, which was quite extensive, out of the way, just in time for the ribbon cutting and speeches. I was exhausted at the end from so much walking. I guess I would compare this to a Yelp Elite event, except I have never been to one since I am (still) not a member of the Yelp Elite Squad. Boo hoo I guess. :-( The unit is a combination of skilled nursing facility (temporary rehabilitation with the goal to go home) with 80 beds (Medicare and Medicaid do cover that), and memory care assisted living with 54 beds (Medicare and Medicaid do not cover that). The memory care unit is a locked unit, with codes required to access the stairs, exits, or elevators. They take Medicare right now, but have not yet been approved for Nevada Medicaid. Approval is anticipated in a few months. The rooms are either semi-private, with an actual wall separating the two beds in a very large room, "jack-and-jill" rooms, with two rooms connected by a shared bathroom, or private. Some residents rent both jack-and-jill rooms, and use one as a sitting room. Most of the unit is not occupied, but all or almost all private rooms in the memory care assisted living part have been reserved. People come from as far away as Reno to live here, since the facility and staff are top notch. The units features wifi (which does not work yet according to the receptionist, so she would not give me the password--kind of snippy to me); cable TV; a hair salon; music therapy with bluetooth wireless headphones for each resident; a large monitor which is controlled by a tablet which can play videos, music, therapy games, etc.; a cornhole game; lounges, checkers; and a multitude of daily activities. There is a gym for supervised rehabilitation. There are also multiple kitchen and laundry units, but I am not sure if the patients use them or the staff does. All restrooms are gender-neutral. There is also a rooftop covered balcony area with a movable tile floor on wheels, so the individual tiles can expand in the summer without breaking. There are private dining areas should the family wish to dine with the resident. I was a little bothered by the fact there was no regular gym, chapel, library, or computer room. And the rooms did not feature an area for laptops like hotel rooms do. I know, many of the residents are older, but many are computer literate and will not be happy when this amenity is not available, especially in the future as Baby Boomers get older. The exits required a password to access in the memory care unit, which is a fire hazard. Another aspect which I was not thrilled about was the staff appeared mostly white. Not much diversity, but hey, this is northern Nevada. Parking was ample. There are actually two entrances: one on Washington Street by LabCorp, and one on Mountain Street. Last time I went, I did not know of the main entrance off Washington, so I went to the side entrance near Mountain, where no one was, lol. They make everyone exit onto Mountain though, which I don't know why, as there appears to be enough room to exit onto Washington Street. They staff, other than the receptionist at the end, appeared professional and knowledgeable. They have two doctors, which seems like too few for 134 beds.

I started here at the beginning of the year with Scott. He was wise and handed me off to Loren, who…read morewas able to help me with my mystery pains. We worked together for months until one day I came in, said my muscles are getting stronger but my pain is still there. Loren then referred me to an Orthopedist (through my GP). We found I was bone on bone in both hips, no wonder I hurt! Had left hip replaced late September by Dr. Rupp (see review of Tahoe Orthopedics) then one week later started again with Loren here at CTPT. Loren has been wonderful. We can joke about me being a whiner or talk about our families while I am strengthening all my muscles. Had my second hip done mid November. Again, back to Loren a week later. I am 6 weeks post op now and going only once a week for the next 3 weeks. I'm feeling great. I let Loren know what hurts and does not seem to be working that I do at home (two times daily guys!) and he adjusts my exercises for me. All staff are great! And during the pandemic I never felt at risk here.

They are always very supportive of their clients needs and receptive of their clients thoughts and feelings. This is definitely a safe space to heal and recover. I am definitely glad and grateful to have found Premier for my Physical Therapy needs.

I only went here a handful of times before quickly deciding it wasn't worth my time or money…read more I woke up with a herniated disc in February and pain so extreme I could barely walk. After a round a steroids, I was able to walk with limited mobility and was referred to Premier that same month. At the time, I couldn't get on my knees/down and up from the floor, couldn't do Zumba (the twists hurt), could barely do any squats or bends... I was so scared about both my short and long term quality of life. I don't know the titles of the various staff members, and honestly I don't remember anybody's name (this was back in March I believe) but did notice two people with red shirts that appeared to be higher up the chain of command and the rest wore black shirts. I was taken to the gym in the back and over to a table. Red shirt talked to me a little and some stuff with me, but a lot of the time I was left working with those in black shirts. Whatever, as long as I have people working with me to get better. Black shirt would tell me what exercise I was doing and then walk off to chat with other black shirts while I was left to do my exercises alone and unsupervised. I would then finish and lay on the table waiting until either the same black shirt or a different one would come and tell me what to do next. And repeat. Eventually I started sitting up immediately after finishing - that would cause a black shirt to run over to me. On one of my last (or last?) days there, black shirt tells me an exercise to do. It's a lot of movements that I'm unfamiliar with, and I'm just confused. He walks off and I struggle to try doing the exercise. On the table next to me is a woman getting one-on-one assistance from a red shirt. I'm not sure what kind of fancy insurance plan she had for that kind of service, but frankly I think all paying patients should have that level of treatment. Anyway, red shirt sees me doing this exercise wrong and calls black shirt over to help. At this point I start crying. I'm emotional, frustrated, embarrassed. I'm terrified I'll never have a decent quality of life again, I'm going to PT, I'm trying to do everything right, and I'm literally being abandoned to figure it out myself. I shouldn't have to ask staff to remain with me and help me through my exercises. Nobody should. Especially when people in physical therapy are already so vulnerable. I stopped going after that.

Went in for a sick note for work checked in at 3:35pm got moved out of the waiting room pretty…read morequick but proceeded to sit in the room till 4:42pm before I was seen and then they forgot to even bring me the note till I came out and asked about it after another 10 min. I understand they have other things to do but come on that long for a simple sick note is insane oh and they spelled my name wrong on the note

She insisted she needed to see the guardianship paperwork which I do not carry with me. She refused to check us in and we were turned away. It is ridiculous to require this paperwork when we were seeking emergency care. Absolutely unacceptable behavior by this receptionist. I will be escalating issue.

They provide primary care and physical therapy services with specialized pelvic floor therapy. For…read moremost clients they do not take insurance. However, luckily for me, they do cover pelvic floor therapy if you are on Medicare and have a referral from your primary care physician. The Health Lab is located in a small bungalow in the older part of Carson City on Curry street. There is a few parking spots by the entrance and there is lots of available street parking in the neighborhood. It is also disability accessable. When coming in the front door you are greeted by a sunny clean open room with lots of PT equipment. I was greeted by my therapist, Sarah Kederka, with a big welcoming smile. I can't begin to tell how much I enjoy working with Sarah. She is friendly, professional and really listens to me and provides information that is easy to understand without ever feeling talked down too. I ferl like we are a team working on solutions to my aging pelvic floor. I also like the level of support she offers between our scheduled visits. It is so refreshing to get high quality care with old fashioned personal interaction with a medical practitioner who does not have to rush through to meet corporate mandates. I HIGHLY recommend this alternative to corporate healthcare.

These folks are criminal! They are alleging that within 35 minutes, they performed both an initial…read moreexamination and physical therapy on me - when physical therapy alone is supposed to be 30-45 minutes. In reality, they were trying to flip as many customers as possible and threw me out quite quickly. I've been trying to fix the situation for over 3 months but they refuse to return my calls. Now I get a message quoting numerous inaccuracies for the billing. If anyone else has also experienced similar fraud, please let me know so we can file legal and regulatory complaints against this disgusting establishment and their greedy ownership.

As a young guy who just had back surgery, I was supposed to be an easy patient, and I was. Due to…read morehealth issues of my 2yr old at the time, I had to cancel a few appointments which were done well before the 24 hr grace period that they requested. Fast forward to today, after a second back surgery to fix the mechanisms in my back, I figured I'd go back here since I was already in system and they're down the street from my house. I make an appointment with them for initial evaluation and leave. I am them Called 30 min. Later by their receptionist being told " I have just been made aware that I need to let you know that any cancelations by you now need to be made before 48 hrs until appointment so that we don't lose those openings with paying patients." I quickly went back to their office, grabbed my referral and going to another office. I'd rather drive to Carson City for a business that cares about me instead of one just looking to collect payment and that is all. Terrible business operations. I do not recommend.
