The Cummins diesel oil filter can be tricky, you can only access the filter through the passenger-side fender well. On these trucks, you really have to know what you're doing, right front tire has to be removed to properly access the fender-well opening and extract the oil filter. They handled the entire diesel oil change perfectly. Not a single drop of oil was left on my vehicle, and they also completed the safety checks, including my brakes and other important service items. I initially brought my car to get the brakes checked out, they were squeaking and also the check-engine light was on. We paid for the diagnostics check and their initial diagnosis showed a small leak involving the purge valve and the motor mounts were bad. I agreed to have the brakes and motor mounts replaced the same day, which I still believe the motor mounts were still ok. The very next day, the brake warning light came on so I immediately contacted the shop and brought the car back. They then discovered that they had ordered the wrong brakes. During the second visit working on the brakes, we had them do a smoke test also to look for the small leak, which we paid for, they told me there was no leak anywhere to be found and everything was fine. I don't know why but they took it upon themselves to start looking for other problems they could find with the vehicle. With no authorization from us. Apparently, they were testing modules under the drivers' seat and not telling what else because they told me the seat had to be removed to test them properly. They also blew a fuse. I had to get back to work after 3 hours of waiting. As I was about to drive away, I had trouble. The car would not go in reverse or forward, finally it jumped into reverse which worried me and then I switched it to forward and it did the same thing just jerking back and forth and all the warning lights came on the dashboard. I immediately called the shop and returned the vehicle to get looked at, I was then told that I had a bad alternator and that the vehicle cannot be driven, that I would have to have it towed home or leave it overnight. Now I am really doubting this business, because I had just gotten back from the bay area and I had no problems whatsoever. Only now after they messed up the control modules and they didn't even bolt the module box back on. Third visit. I got the alternator replaced, and later that day the engine light came on warning about worn brake pads, Unbelievable. So, I made another appointment to look at the brake problem. Fourth visit. I was told there was a bad sensor either pinched or rubbing against something. So, as they were fixing the brakes they did another smoke test to find the engine light problem. This time it is a charcoal canister leak. At this point, I decided I was done bringing my vehicle back. I have spent nearly $4,000 at this shop, and I originally went in for a squeezing brake and a check-engine light that initially showed a small purge-valve leak. After all the repairs and charges, the fourth diagnosis was still essentially the same as the first diagnosis I received when I initially brought my vehicle in. Despite paying for multiple diagnostics and repairs, my vehicle still has the check engine light on. This is especially concerning because I was charged for repairs based on the diagnoses provided, yet the original problem has not been resolved. I do not recommend this shop based on my experience.

What used to be a dependable shop has turned into constant delays, poor communication, and unrealistic time estimates. Even simple flat repairs became frustrating -- I'd call ahead, be told "30 minutes," then end up sitting there for two hours. This most recent experience destroyed any trust I had left in this shop. I originally had a quote elsewhere for $1,158 out the door for tires. Fresno Tire Co quoted me $1,143, but then added an extra $18 tax charge at checkout that was never mentioned beforehand, meaning they didn't even beat the competitor's price. I should have gone with the company that was upfront from the beginning. I called Friday to confirm the tires were in stock, called again the day before my appointment, and dropped my truck off before they even opened so they'd have the entire day for a simple tire install and alignment. I over-communicated specifically to avoid this kind of situation. Then at 3 PM they called asking whether I wanted the white or black side of the tires facing out, which made it obvious the work had barely started and there was realistically no chance the truck would be finished by closing. At no point did anyone communicate delays or mention they didn't even have an alignment tech available. Instead, it felt like they were trying to lock me into the tire install so I couldn't back out at that stage. The alignment was especially important because I had just installed new shocks and didn't want to destroy brand-new tires driving home with a bad alignment. Because of that, I had no choice but to leave the truck there overnight for a second day. On day two, I received another call around 3 PM saying the truck was finally on the alignment rack, followed almost immediately by another update claiming it had just returned from a test drive. None of the timeline ever made sense. The worst part was dealing with the service advisor/manager. Every update felt made up: first the truck was coming off the alignment rack, then it had just returned from a test drive, then suddenly they were heating frozen bolts "for hours," which was supposedly the reason the alignment took so long. It constantly felt like salesman-style excuses instead of honest communication. On top of that, he interrupted me and literally said, "I'm going to stop you right there," which was incredibly disrespectful considering how patient I had been and how many opportunities I gave them to make things right. After keeping my truck for two full days for what should have been a one-day appointment, they returned it pulling hard to the right with the brake, ABS, and traction/VSC lights all illuminated while still insisting the alignment was "great" and the truck drove fine. I had to immediately turn around and bring it back within minutes of leaving. Only then did they refund the alignment. I even called the following day hoping to speak with the owner and give the shop one last opportunity to address everything professionally. Unfortunately, it was more of the same. Instead of actually listening to my concerns as a longtime customer, I was constantly interrupted and talked over. At that point it became clear the problem wasn't just the poor workmanship or delays -- it was the complete lack of respect and accountability shown throughout the entire experience. What finally confirmed everything for me was taking the truck to another shop that actually cared about doing the job correctly. They immediately noticed Fresno Tire Co had balanced the tires improperly. Two wheels had roughly 16 wheel weights stacked on them, looked terrible, and even had mismatched black and silver weights. The new shop explained that Fresno Tire Co should have rotated the tire on the wheel to achieve a better balance instead of just piling on excessive weights. After properly balancing them, the new shop only needed around 3-5 weights per wheel. The biggest issue now is trust. From the first phone call to the final pickup, I felt misled, disrespected, and treated like a fool. I gave them communication, flexibility, and plenty of time, and somehow got my truck back in worse condition than when I dropped it off. I used to trust this shop, but after this experience I can no longer recommend Fresno Tire Co to anyone. Avoid this place.
