I went to grease monkey on Drusilla in Baton Rouge right when they opened in the morning for a tire rotation and full synthetic oil change, and saw the maintenance code for the coolant was on. i knew it wasn't time to change, but asked them to take a look and let me know what they suggest. I also told him I was recommended for a brake job 4 months prior from his technicians on the rear axle and we can schedule that for next time. 25 minutes later, he comes to tell me the coolant is fine, but he's worried about my wipers (which I just got changed 5 months prior) and my air filter. He also told me all of my brakes are fine, but he was worried about my front rotors and he could do a full front brake job right now. I said well I have to be to work in 20 minutes so I don't have time for the brake job right now. How much longer? he said well we have to do the oil change and put your tires back on. I was confused why it's been 25 minutes, I was the second car there and the oil change hasn't been done. So, I said ok to the air filter too, and thanked him for checking the brakes and coolant. Anyway, about 20 minutes later I'm paying for new wipers along with the oil change, tire rotation, and air filter. I didn't need wipers but I didnt have time to argue or say anything. so I paid and left. Fast forward a month later - my car is overheating. I open the hood and there's coolant all over my engine. So I bring it to Richard's Honda because I have a warranty thinking there is a leaky hose or busted radiator. NOPE! there's no radiator cap. WHAT?!??? so whoever checked the coolant at Grease Monkey didn't put the cap on correctly. And of course warranty doesn't cover things that are human error so it was $441 for them to fill the system with water, check for leaks, empty the water, refill with coolant, and replace the radiator cap. So, I call Grease Monkey and the store manager, Shelby is what he said his name is after 5 times calling, still hasn't called me back, emailed me back, or tried to do anything to reconcile the situation. I also found out from the dealership all of my brakes and rotors are perfectly fine. 1. They lied to me TWICE about needing brakes 2. replaced my wipers without my consent 3. took almost an hour to do an oil change and tire rotation 4. unprofessional and terrible customer service 5. Easy in and easy out. Googled oil change places near me since my oil light decided to blink on my way to work. I went during lunch time and did not have a wait. I was given a list of options and proceeded with my choice and led inside to wait. The oil change did not take very long right around the 10-15 min mark. All the staff I encountered were nice as well. A little on the pricey side but right now all is well so I'll consider their place it if that continues. They do have coupons as well so have them text you one or you can find it online. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Received an oil change at this location. After experiencing engine heating issues, I checked oil level and was completely out of oil. I brought the vehicle to a local dealership as I live over an hour from this location and they informed me that the drain plug and crush washer were leaking and confirmed it would have been an issue due to the previous oil change and the oil would need to be drained to repair issues. THIS COST ME $300. I called Grease Monkey to inform them of the issue and request a refund for my oil change (not the repairs) and they informed me this could only be done by the District Manager, Alisia, who is not responding to my phone calls. I have called the physical location and Alisia multiple times with no apology or assistance. Terrible service & terrible customer service. Do not bring your vehicle here. Edit: I have been in touch with the regional manager, who has refused to take responsibility. I have also reached out to the corporate e-mail provided in response to this review on Google with no response. I'm pleased with the work they did and the sales pitch for things she didn't need, the sales girl was polite and not high pressure (unlike Benny's). I'm very happy with the service that was FORTY DOLLARS cheaper than the last one at Benny's on Perkins. I will be bringing Lucy here for her future service needs as well. I came here to get an oil change and it took them 45 minutes. There sign advertised 10 minute oil changes. This was not the case for me or the woman sitting next to me. They have excellent customer service and were sure to carefully look over my car- however, I did not come for a full car inspection. I came to get my oil changed in 10 minutes. So, yes- I would recommend this place if you have free time on your hands and want your car to be taken care of properly and carefully. I went to Grease Monkey on Drusilla Lane for a full synthetic oil change. ONE week later, my engine light comes on while I was traveling for work out of state. I had to take it to a mechanic I was unfamiliar with and was told that my oil was overfilled by 2 quarts. The mechanic drained the all the oil and filled it to the PROPER amount. I went back to the Grease Monkey asking for a refund (which is in the warranty). The woman working, Tracey, who also completed my original oil change, didn't take accountability for the situation and claimed it was impossible. She called the mechanic who fixed my car and literally hung up on him, telling him he was wrong. She said she can't refund me and to call the district manager to get my money back. We have called Alysia Thurman and their lead tech to which they said my situation now needs to be escalated to the OWNER! We were told that they would give us a call, but it has been days since we have talked to them. Clearly this is not the first time this has happened. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. You will waste your time and money! I will never return to this location and will let everyone I know, not to go there. I used to be a returning customer, so this situation is unfortunate. I had the BEST experience here today!! I was stressed out all morning because my Check Engine light came on for Low Coolant. I pulled in today on my lunch break at 12:52 and was on my way by 12:54 with no charge!! They filled my coolant, told me to have a great day (multiple times) and sent me on my way!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I would advise you to read the website carefully before you come and be prepared to argue why the price they charge you is not the price that was advertised on the website. I brought my car in for brake inspections (which should be free according to the website) they ordered parts to replace my brakes but never quoted us a price. After 2hrs of waiting I finally asked the pricing and they said it was going to be $240 for back brake pads and then tried to upswell me $400 to get the rotators done as well. After I was finally quoted I ended up finding a cheaper option at a different location. I informed the worker that we would not be paying that and to please put the tires back on my car. He responded with we'll still have to charge you for labor and then rang me up for $100. $100 for what...they took my tires off before quoting me any price and then put them back on after I refused service. While the gentleman were very nice I don't appreciate being hustled out of a $100 for no reason. Definitely steer clear of this place if you don't want to be scammed. read more

I was really excited to come and try this place with my $20 off coupon that was given to all residents of at my apartment complex. The guy that talked to me was so friendly and professional. I thought it was a good start. I asked for the $74 option, which I thought was fine because I was gonna be spared $20. Then the other guy which was also very friendly asked if I wanted to change my air filter. I said yes because it was really time to change it. He quartered it for $24. So far I was like no big deal. They cleaned by windshield, did my tires and changed the oil. I thought all of it was complementary because I certainly did not ask for all the extra stuff and I thought it was nice of them. Well while I liked the employees and their friendly energy, when I was able to look at the receipt, they had charged me $24 of labor. I have never in my life been charged for labor at an oil change location. The coupon was for nothing just a way to get me to come and trap me into paying $24 for labor either way. I am never coming back because they did not warn me that they were going to charge labor if not I would have found another place. It was dishonest. And I am angry, but I had already left the place when I looked at the labor charge. Unbelievable. I was happy because the employees were great at their job and their customer service skills, but if the policy of this location is to charge labor without telling the customer first I want nothing to do with this place. read more
