Only used Benny's for the state inspection as they accept credit cards. I have a company/fleet vehicle so can't use cash places. Per Benny's phone recording, only 3 locations (Perkins, Coursey, & Greenwell Springs) offer state inspection. Simple signage tells you where to pull up then staff walks up to take your info (driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance.) I showed up shortly after 8am (when they open). One car ahead of me that left after an employee spoke to him/her. My turn. Female employee greeted me (wearing a Benny's mask - thanks to our lovely COVID-19 crisis), provided my info, and walked over to the waiting room. They troubleshooted with my company credit card (phew as I wasn't intending to use my hard earned money lol) then I was out by 8:30. All in all less than 20 minutes, so heck yes, I'd recommend Benny's for anyone needing a quick car inspection, car wash, etc. services they offer. Certainly my go to car inspection place! read more

I've been wanting to try this place because I heard about the monthly memberships and other good reviews. My first time here was a huge disappointment. The staff was kind but the car wash itself lacked in many departments. I paid for the priciest wash and my car STILL looked like it needed to go through again. The worst part of my experience was the vacuum area. I tried multiple stalls. A couple of vacuum hoses were falling apart! Two didn't work at all, and I noticed one without the propers attachments to even vacuum the car. I was so frustrated that I left without even vacuuming my car. I'm not sure if it was just this location or if the others are similar. I sure hope not. read more

Sad to say I have parted ways with Benny's car wash today. I normally don't give bad reviews but I'm so disappointed and I've never been treated like this by Benny's before. I've heard other people complain but I've had great service at only one location which is the one I always visit. The Siegen Lane location is fantastic and reads my tag with no issues ever. Today I stopped by Coursey Blvd location and they detained me for what seemed like 15 min, leaving me on line going back and forth, telling me my card expired, but I showed them it had not and the payment processed on 1/10 but they still didn't allow me to get even an exterior car wash today even tho I showed them my full service exterior / interior membership. Over 7 years as a loyal customer, and I'm like wow they let me back out if the line and leave without even a free exterior wash because they looked up my Acct by my name and not by my member # so they pulled an old Acct #. Then I call corp and they say they can cancel but not refund but I said you just refused service and I have paid. Wow! So I went to see them in person. They concluded that somewhere embedded in my vehicle is the old tag and the reader at Airline and Coursey both are picking up my old Nissan tag and ignoring my tag on my Lexus. So I said well it's not in my purse, the door pockets, console or glove box which I emptied all in front of them. But they shook their head, said they could "give me" a free wash but there's an old tag somewhere in my vehicle that's causing the problem. Since they didn't apologize or take any responsibility and put this totally on me, I cancelled my membership, didn't take the courtesy wash, requested a refund for Jan 10th and went to Siegen just to see what they location reads, and their scanner is still reading the newer tag on my Lexus windshield even tho it's a cancelled membership. I'm so very disappointed but I will have to accept that the customer service managers didn't offer any solutions other than to blame me because they felt there was no other logical explanation. I was baffled but won't pay $45/m to be hassled and only be able to go to Siegen. In this age of technology it seems the readers are outdated at the other locations. Also I pointed out that since they clean my interior they have never found an "old tag" but they just ignored me. No offer to discount for inconvenience or refusal of service or any other options. I guess I could have kept my membership and accepted it is limited to just Siegen Lane but in the end it didn't feel like they cared what I did either way. I surely can't stay in business if I treat my clients that way. Welcome to 2023. Just hoping to get what I pay for - any recommendations for a different full service car wash place? read more

Last week I went to the Benny's on Airline to get an oil change in employer's work truck. I couldn't take advantage of the free car wash with the truck. So today I went to the Benny's on Coursey in my car. They honored the code and I got a free car wash and vacuum. I'm very impressed with how my car looks and the vacuums I used worked great. I was always a little tepid on Benny's because it makes me nervous that they put cars so close together to go through the car wash.(Even if it is totally safe, I can't have my hands on the wheel or my foot on the brake, I need a little space!) but this guy, Michael made my day after I sucked up my favorite "Ringmaster of the s*** show sock into the vacuum. Thorough process here and professional. However, I regret letting Benny's bump me up to the higher priced oil change for my low mileage Maxima when the Nissan dealer device does not. I wasn't able to get my tires changed either. I like the available car wash with my oil change. It doesn't appear that oil change coupons are available in their website anymore so the basic oil change would be $44.99 but they will up sell you to the $70 range for an oil change. read more

This was posted on next door. Comparable to my situation in 2018! "Benny's Car Wash Coursey. Disappointed in Benny's Car Wash on Coursey. Saturday they allowed the car in front of me to enter the carwash not in neutral but with reverse lights on. Things progressed fine until the end of the car wash when I was hit in the front by said car and from behind by the car behind me and that car was hit by the 4th car in line as the conveyor belt kept pulling the cars through. The police were called and would not write up the 'accident' as they said we were not in control of our cars because they were on a conveyor belt. We sat in their parking lot over an hour and the only interaction we had with them was to be told to move our cars out of the way. Benny's is blaming it on the first car and will not give me Benny's Insurance information. I have turned it over to my insurance agent. So BEWARE of the carwash. I have cancelled my monthly car wash plan and no longer plan to go there as they apparently aren't going to take responsibility for something they apparently caused. read more

Benny's is fine but do not use this location if you have a large vehicle until they fix the equipment. They have a temporary fix in place that isn't quite right, so despite NOT selecting tire shine and despite telling the attendant specifically NO TIRE SHINE, the car wash sprays gummy tire shine on the entire right side of my large vehicle, all over the paint job. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke and we had to wash the truck again at home to get it off. This time though, it happened again and it was obvious to me there's an issue with their equipment. I went back to Benny's and had it rewashed three times to get most of it off but it STILL won't come off plus IT IS NOW WORSE because despite attempting to position my truck to avoid it, the paint job still got sprayed, so I STILL have to rewash it at home. The attendant said they'd had an accident a few months this ago and they had to temporarily repair the machinery using parts from another location so they're a little too long. For these rewashes, he had me position the truck as far to the left as possible to attempt to avoid the messy spray but the gunk from the first go-round today is not yet gone from the paint job plus the spray got on it AGAIN. I'll keep using Benny's but won't be back to this location until it's fixed. read more

Went to get a car wash. Unfortunately, the car wash didn't get the dirt off the hood of my truck, rest of the truck was fine. Once I noticed, I took it back in figuring the machine messed up no big deal. After speaking with a worker I requested and received a re-wash for my truck at no additional cost. After going through the car wash again, I still had dirt on my hood in the exact same spot that I could clean with my finger. I drove around and asked for a refund as my truck was still dirty and they told me they couldn't do anything and that I needed to pay for a better car wash. What a joke. read more

These guys are awesome! I come to Benny's car wash to get my oil changed every few months or so. The gentleman there are so kind and attentive. They offer you something to drink and get to work. This type of oil change you stay in your car which doesn't really bother me because they do it quickly. While you're in the car they check your windshield wipers, check your tire pressure, and many other things. I have been coming here for sometime and never have had any issues. I went to Benny's on Coursey, Sunday March 4,2018 to get my car inspected. The sign at Benny's says that they do inspections until 5 PM. I pulled in at 4:09 pm and they told me they were not taking any more customers. I told them that if they are stopping taking cars at 4 pm they need to change the sign till 4 pm. The lady working then rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Customer service is what keeps people coming back to your business. I am in the customer service field and if someone walked in our shop at 4:59 pm and we close at 5 pm. I still have to service the customer. They stopped an HOUR before closing!! That is just horrible customer service!! EDITED: I talked to the ceo of benny's and they were extremely nice and took care of me!! Even made sure that I get my inspection. read more

I have the club membership here and it's one of the best decisions I've made. I wash my car at least once a week--- with love bug season it's twice a week. So that's about 40$ I'd spend on a car wash --- but I only spend 15$ with the membership a month! The people that work there are super nice and friendly ! Help me out no problem. I couldn't be any happier with the service. The inside waiting room is very clean & open. Benny's is like the Country Bear Jamboree at Disney World - vaguely unsettling at times, but couched in convenience so it's easy to shrug and go with it. The car wash, for example. It's the best automated wash in town, hands down - my car always comes out spotless and, if I have any special trouble spots, they provide a pre-scrub station with plenty of useful tools to soften up the worst bug guts. The trouble usually starts when I'm selecting my wash and an employee materializes out of nowhere to give me the hard sell on their car wash club. Apart from being the most boring sounding club in world history, it's not a membership I need - my car is a lease that I park in a garage and drive almost exclusively to and from work. I wash it once a month at most. So every time I politely refuse, and every next time I'm bothered about it again. Look, I get the compulsion to notify customers about your dismal club, but I'm at my revenue generating max with Benny's and stuff like this is only going to discourage me from here on out. Then - do all Benny's locations have this? - when I pass through the gate after prepaying, there are little orange pylons directing my path, and bizarrely, inexplicably, EACH ONE OF THEM HAS A RAGGED, SUNBLEACHED STUFFED ANIMAL TIED TO IT. This is perplexing at best and horrifying at worst. I can't imagine children are impressed, either; I know I'd be terrified if I discovered that Benny the Impaler were torturing Tigger and Tinkerbell at his carwash of horrors. One other thing that sometimes mars the experience - every other time I'm finished with the wash and vacuuming my car (with the usually fantastic but infrequently emptied free vacuums), some guy approaches me trying to push auto glass repair. My windshield chips were already repaired by my insurance company, thanks, and I am waiting for one of these dudes to sneak up on an old lady and get clobbered by her purse. I'm personally a hand car wash kind of gal. However, since an affordable hand car wash business is hard to find in Baton Rouge Benny's is almost the next best thing. I do like how I can typically get in and out at this location. The pre scrub area comes in handy. Especially since the machines do not really get everything off of your car. One thing that's good about this location is that the vaccuums to clean out your car are pretty powerful. I've heard how many locations they aren't. Let me start this off by saying great car wash, and very quick with an inspection sticker. The problem came with my oil change. Once he was done doing my oil he said I had a small leak in the oil pan. Made it seem like no big deal and moved on. It had been about 4 months since my last oil change and I've had no problems. When I take it to pep boys two days later to check the problem the oil light it coming on and showing I have low oil. So pep boys check out the problem and discovered that the housing for the oil filter was cracked by being over torqued. This happens when you do not hand tighten it when you change the oil filter. So I present the report to Benny's and pictures that the "leak" he reported wasn't a leak and that the damage was done by over tightening it, and they were the only people to touch my car in 4 months. The manage refused to pay for the damages, claiming it was already there, even though the paperwork they gave me said an entirely different problem, I will never let them touch my car again. read more

I went to Benny's about 2 weeks ago to get an inspection sticker and had 2 cars in front of me. Regardless of that it took little to no time at all for them to get my car ready to go with a new sticker. Also I went in for an oil change today, the 2 gentlemen Alan (manager) and Donte (upper tech) were the 2 that serviced my car. They were very polite and professional in making sure everything went smoothly. Donte came in the waiting area himself with the oil dipstick to show me that it was indeed full and check with me if I wanted to purchase a new air filter as I needed one badly and Alan went the extra step to make sure the coupon I had for an oil change on my phone was entered to save me some money. I would definitely recommend this Benny's location to others to go to. read more

The crew at Benny's on Coursey is amazing, attentive, efficient, and courteous! I went in for an oil change and they also changed my blinker (I brought the bulb) for a $10 labor fee. Other places told me it was too difficult and to take my car to the dealership, which would've cost $75-$80. They also gave an excellent diagnostic on my vehicle and I'll definitely use them in the future for everything they offer! read more

Took my vehicle to my dealership this morning and got an oil change and a new tire. I held off on getting my inspection sticker even though the dealership made sure I was aware that it was expired but I always get my inspection sticker at Benny's so as a loyal customer I drove over there after my maintenance appt at the dealership. I get in line for the inspection sticker and there's 2 cars in front of me and the first car leaves and the second one drives into the garage and I see one of the employees get up to come to my window and I tell her I'm here for an inspection sticker and she says they're not doing them because of the rain. If I had known that I would've just gotten it done at the dealership but I was unaware that they don't give inspection stickers while it's raining so if you need one make sure it's not raining. Otherwise, I've never had a problem with this Benny's. They have free vacuums and the car washes are always well worth the price even for the $10 ones. read more

I will start by saying I rarely put in reviews for any business unless I am really impressed with them. I hope that this is for the Benny's on Coursey Blvd and if it's not then that is the one I am referring to. I have only utilized their oil change service and I must say that their attention to detail is beyond impressive. Being an engineer for 30+ years has given me an appreciation for folks that do quality work, especially when it comes to the mechanical aspect of things. Here is why I believe Bennys standouts among other oil change services. The first is their customer service as the technicians were polite and happy to answer my questions. The second and most important is the procedure that they use to change your oil. For the sake of this review, we will say the techs at your level is the "Top Guys" and the tech changing the oil is the "Bottom Guy" (3 in total). One top guy tells your order and quantity to the other top guy and he repeats it back to make sure he understood so you do not get the wrong oil or quantity. He also yells to the bottom guy the correct filter for the job and bottom guy also repeats it back to make sure it's correct. The bottom guy starts draining your oil and top guys start checking your top fluids for quality. The most impressive part is when they are done top guy squats down so he can see the bottom guy and goes through a quality assurance check of all the important points that need a second check, filter, plug etc. They then ask you to rev your engine to higher RPMs and hold it there as they conduct a final leak check at normal operating oil pressure. As someone who has been screwed over multiple times by shady oil change dealers, I can say I very much appreciate this particular shops attention to detail. I highly recommend them for oil changes and will continue to use them in the future. read more

Every time I've been there for an oil change, they've tried to sell me on services I didn't need. Today, they tried to sell me on a Carwash membership as I was trapped in the inspection sticker line.
