My last visit I am credited $4.00 for my oil and charged almost $50.00. Getting them to change my oil is a convenience and not a need. I do my best to make use of businesses in the Athens area as long as the company treats me fair even if the cost is a bit more. Fair is fair, I don't want more than I paid for and shouldn't be charged for more than I received.

They would also do other car diagnostics (air filter, tire stuff, fluids) & state inspections. I like to leave the car there & walk to some place nearby for a drink or something. It's just a block or 2 over from Calloways (local coffee shop). Prices are also decent. Fun side-story: I have a seatbelt cover in the drivers seat that looks like a stuffed animal version of Donatello (from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", the purple one). It's a great conversation-starter with one of the guys who works there. So I get to have my car maintenance done, as well as get to "talk Turtles" with someone while there!

By the time I got to Grease Monkey it was smoking from under the fender. The manager and the mechanics saw it. Later stated need to take it to ford dealer. Tow the car to dealer. Mechanic work on it replace couple of things and then finally master cylinder. Brakes work well. Took the master cylinder back to Grease Monkey, long story short. Talk with manager and she said she isn't looking for them to give me the refund on-master cylinder. Talk about it; while talking with her, she was lying to me. I don't like to be lied to and taking advantage off. They had no intention to give me the refund, and they will find excuses not to. I would advise not to go Grease Monkey for service. --- Update - This is not the impression we want to leave, Shirley. Trust and integrity are important to us.
