Their bakery items looked decent for the most part, but banana bread for $12? I checked the ingredient label for the individual slices of banana bread for $1.99, and would have tried it, except that bananas were listed close to the end of the list. Put prices on your stuff. Otherwise it seems that if you have to ask, you can't afford it. Either that, or your prices are whatever you choose to charge at that moment to that person.

Since then, I've had that design in my back pocket so that I can recreate that same professional-looking piece (or closed to it) myself for our new home. Now that I have a foyer, I want to showcase our entrance by adding a major centerpiece. I couldn't find those same winter florals at other flower shops- so in comes Colonial Flower S. at the New Paltz Plaza in New Paltz who met me all the way while thinking outside the box. Whether it's cheery+frilly or minimalist, Colonial says it all with flowers and greenery. At the main entrance, you'll find those glass refrigerated coolers; then the shop's backroom is bursting with blooms as the folks work and create arrangements on long table. I'd shown Melissa the arrangement snapshot of what was created for me and although Colonial didn't carry those specific stems I wanted, she IMMEDIATELY thought of plan B and made things so much easier! Price was right and Melissa's fast-thinking, creative skills were on point the entire time. Thank you so much!

Lady refused to converse with me about that, simply told me I could buy prearranged bouquets that were already dying in their case. She disappeared to the back, and I was ignored. Better off buying flowers from the supermarket next door. Poor customer service.

If the flowers on your wedding day are something you are looking forward to, beware of this…read moreflorist. We hired Hedge for our wedding and found ourselves disappointed at every turn. Sadly, they made so many substitutions without consulting us and there were even instances where arrangements fell apart. During our consultation and correspondence prior to our wedding they were very warm and assured us that they would be able to provide us with the flowers (many for sentimental reasons) we requested. When our wedding day came, we thought they were bringing in flowers for another wedding by mistake. Per the suggestion of our wedding venue (who was also disappointed to see what Hedge produced for us...it was really bad) we requested a partial refund for the arrangements that fell apart and extreme substitutions they made. Sadly, they declined to do the correct thing. Hedge proved to be an untrustworthy vendor that would say anything just to get our business. They showed us that they do not care about their client's requests and wishes for their special day, only their questionable aesthetic and your hard earned money in their pocket (that they will gladly keep even after providing a terrible service.) Stay away from this vendor.

It's so cute, well stocked and priced, and has amazing gifts for everyone, from the foodie friend to the bearded boyfriend, to the dog mom or dad in your life. You'll be the talk of the holidays when you tick off your gift list at Cocoon! From the silly socks with literary quotes to the immense selection of unique cookbooks, and the gorgeous locally made jewelry, we spent a good half hour browsing around the small but well organized shop. The shopkeeper was pretty low key, which was actually a refreshing change from the folks in stores who follow you around or ask you how you're doing every five seconds. I'm trying to buy a present for my cat, Virginia! Leave me be! I hope to come back here for the slew of fall birthdays and special events in my squad for the inevitable present hunting trip. It's definitely the best place to shop for all my weird pals! :)
