My family and I were staying in Dune Allen, and we planned to rent bikes for a ride into Seaside. That was my genius plan to avoid the traffic and parking nightmare that is Seaside today. Also, the ride from Grayton Beach to Seaside is just a fantastic experience. We arrived at GreenEbikes in Grayton Beach well after their advertised opening time of 9:00 AM, but it wasn't open yet. Signs showed their rates to be $15/hour for electric bikes and $20/hour for fat tire bikes. I asked the couple who had been waiting when we arrived if they thought they might have regular bikes. The man said, "Oh, they have regular bikes over at Grayton General Store." We out. At Grayton General Store they rented regular bikes for $15/day! That's a full, 24-hour day! The bikes were in good shape. The service was prompt, courteous, and attentive. Our day was wonderful. The store has all manner of things you might want on a beach vacation, and it's in a great location right on the corner and by the bike path. We have always liked Grayton General Store, but now we will make it a mainstay for our future vacations. read more

This place is garbage. Blasting loud music. Nothing in the store is marked with a price tag. A 12 pack of Michelob Ultra was $21.99 before tax. I asked how much a case of water was, I was told $6-$12 which is a vast difference. Didn't seem eager to help me find out the specific price of the case of water either. I put both my items back and drove to Publix. Save your time and just go to Publix. read more

I am a 23 year old male from GA vacationing for the week in 30A. The Latino lady behind the counter took my ID and refused to give it back for a whole 20 minutes while I was simply trying to just buy beer. Totally awful customer service, had to lay 3 sets of eyes on my 23 year old ID. never coming back to this place..... read more

AWFUL AWFUL. Bought a simple vape here and it didn't work. Asked for a refund or a swap and was refused. Told me it was me fault for not trying it before I bought!? What the? So confused and disappointed. Not to mention - horrible selection of beers and wines. Terrible service. Don't recommend. Drive to Publix / not a general store!!!! read more

I went to Grayton General store to purchase snacks, and decided I wanted to buy lottery tickets. I found the 3 tickets I wanted, and asked for them by number "I want 5 of number 44, 3 of number 10, and 5 of # 35. Cashier is a large man with dreadlocks hair. He pulls 5 of # 45, 3 of # 10, and 1 of # 35. He has the radio blasting some reggae tunes - it was loud enough to be irritating, and he didn't seem to care about listening to which tickets I wanted. After I paid for the tickets I realized he had given me different than I asked for. So I asked if he can hear me over the radio? He too. Offense to that. I asked again if he can turn the radio down. He refused. I asked again "can I please have 5 of # 44?" He erupts at me and says "what the fuck is your problem - you said 45" "No, I said I want 5 of ticket # 44." He flares up at the counter rising to his full height as of to intimidate me and says "FUCK YOU NIGGA." I said "excuse me..." he says "FUCK. yOU. NIGGA." I said "hey I just want to buy some lottery tickets...are you going to sell them to me or not..." He rants again saying I asked for #45 - I didn't ask for it because it was something - completely different than the monopoly tickets I wanted. Then he points to the other cashier And says "you serve him, I refuse. I won't lift a finger for this mo^%*f*%cker.." He glared at me in a very threatening way from across the counter. I said "hey man I'm jot going to be intimidated by you- I'm just here to buy lottery tickets." He was still fuming and threatening with his body language. What happened next shocked me the most. He came OUT from behind the counter with his FISTS clenched - and came around to intimidate me even more. I was quite sure he would have attacked me- his eyes were locked, and red with anger and he was FUMING. He called me "nigga again" I saw that there was a beer bottle in an ice chest and since I've taken some serious defense classes I knew to use what was near me to defend myself. I grabbed the beer bottle - he was only 3 feet away, coming right for me. But he backed off and called me "nigga" again - now acting like he was a victim because I picked up a bottle to potentially defend myself. He also said some stuff about "white privilege" to some other customers - this was right after repeatedly calling me a racial slur. To say I was shocked is a gross understatement. This person is a violent threatening individual who cannot be trusted to work in public. Let alone serve them. Terrible terrible and traumatic experience! read more

I did not experience any of the issues others have written about. This is a quick easy way to grab almost anything you need from drinks and snacks to beach chairs and umbrellas. They have bike and car parking in the rear and it worked just fine for us to stop in and out while biking or walking around town. read more

Super unprofessional and overpriced. Nothing worse than having to explain to my kids why the cashier's shirt says "Fuck Joe Biden".

I really like this little shop. Not because you can find pretty much anything you need that you know you forgot for your summer vacation... but the owner there is verify friendly and laid back. Great little store in a good area that is very convienant. read more

Worst general store I have ever been too. Rude people and high prices. Just absurdly bad customer service. Worst I have ever experienced consistently. Go to Publix! Much better service and items. read more

Great store. Employees are great. Always pleasant. They have everything you need for a beach day, essentials stuff you forgot for your beach house or condo and a great deli if you're hungry. Lot of cool stuff in the store too! read more

Avoid this place. Absolutely terrible. Manager is crass and rude. I can't imagine how a place stays in business with this absolute zero concerns for customers. Obviously money is only motivation. read more

Its a one stop shop for EVERYTHING! Theres not many corner stores in the area but this one seems to have everything you could ever need. Grayton General Store - storefront with various items - Grocery Near Me - Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

I went in to get some drinks and I am from Texas and I am 21 so my id is still straight up and down. As I was at the register I handed her my id and she took it for a while and gave it back and said we can't take it. I asked why and all she had to say is i'm not sure about it and I said this is my real id and she had nothing to say about it. I called to speak to a manager and the supposedly the manager I talked to hung up on me. Service was poor and very rude. read more

The workers are so friendly and generally just a really good environment. they sell almost anything under the moon and for a good price. would come again. Edit: looking at the reviews i'm seeing that most people disagree. this was just at the time i went. read more

Went like 3 days in a row. Just your basic corner store. Nice workers and good selection.

Horrible customer service. Women at front was very rude and unprofessional. Do not recommend.

Horrible customer service. Girl who works the register is extremely unprofessional. Save some money and deal with better people at Publix or the Tom Thumb. read more

Rudest woman working the cash register. Ruined experience for whole group. Do NOT go here (clearly from past reviews it's not just a one time bad experience) read more

Let me just start by saying it takes a lot for me to want to write a bad review... but this one deserves it. After multiple terrible experiences here, I had to at least warn others of what they are getting into. The idea of the store is great- forget something at the beach, need a snack or a beer, just make the trek up to the general store. BUT prepare yourself to be treated like a prisoner who may or may not be allowed to purchase items, and if you are so graciously accepted at the counter to fork over your hard earned money, you will be nickle and dimed for every extra cup, bag, straw you name it... or as I was told "someone has to pay for it" (like their very healthy mark up on everything in there doesn't account for one cup to drink your priced gouged champagne out of)... IF you find yourself needing ANYTHING... pay the extra cost, whatever it is, and walk over to AJ's across the street. Super friendly and chill staff who are more than willing to help. My local advice, after many attempts at hoping for better at Grayton General is to just stay far away. I am not sure if this same person I have encountered many times is going through something rough in life, and if so she has my deepest sympathy. But for goodness sake, you are in the service industry and not a bouncer at a club. Put on a smile and be nice to the people who want to support your business, or they will not come anymore. read more

Horrible service. The female who works the cash register in the evening/night is extremely rude. Prices are way over priced as well. I highly suggest you not to go to this place, just drive the extra 5 minutes and go to Publix. read more
