Impatient and rush you through trying to learn how to wear them. And then do not make sure you are aware you have 90 days to get them correct. It's on the customer to make sure they know exactly how the process works, even when you've gone through something dramatic like tearing your retina. Just a bad experience overall with the office staff in general.

That's my favorite part. I had been here once before, last year, and became a repeat customer for this visit based on the efficiency and the friendliness of the staff and doctor. Here are my notes from todays visit. I had a 930am Friday appt and even though I got there early, I still had to unfortunately wait to be seen 25 min. I know that's unfortunately what to expect these days from doctors- I just appreciate communication as to if I'll be needing to wait longer. Common courtesy. I love the eye doctor, Dr Hoyle. Fabulous. Personable. Knowledgeable. 5 stars for her. Other than the overall excessive waiting, it was fine generally speaking. What to expect - You sign your waivers at the front desk with the expo marker and they scan it into your files- you wait to be called. You're walked through the initial eye check process like the glaucoma check, questions, initial eye screening, etc...then from there you're handed off to the doctor, with a wait of course in the room- then to the payment counter with clear explanations to any questions you have. A bit overpriced for their services - like $60 for a contact "fitting" for me that took 30 seconds to do- it was to see if my old prescription was still satisfactory or I wanted to try a stronger one. The technician or doctor didn't even check that the contacts looked proper on my eyes this time actually now that I'm reviewing my visit. that's definitively overpriced now.... Speaking of pricing, I had to ask for the free solution sample both times I came here-I was never offered any free samples which is sure a small thing/ but to someone like me paying $99 for a checkup, just the offer goes a long way. I didn't like how they can't provide a physical copy of your retinal scan image- they will gladly email it, which is fine, but aren't able to print it and you pay them $39 for this 1 second picture. Quite overpriced I believe, and it's not something they ask if you want or say you need or don't need- it's just assumed you'll get it even if not a high risk individual. The efficiency- That's what I appreciated from the first time I came which is why I returned- but after having to wait so long overall [before appt & then after seeing the doctor to try on the contacts prescribed this time, and no clear reasoning as to why all this waiting ]-- I did an entire yoga stretch routine in my exam room as I waited to be brought contacts to try on- I think I will consider another local optometrist since there are plenty in the area.

His office has a very personable atmosphere, they are very efficient in their intake/visit time, and I always come away feeling like they care. In addition to regular annual visits, Dr. Crawford tries to accommodate problem visits should they arise. He is attentive and goes out of his way to help, whether it's by offering his own advice and care or helping to connect patients to providers who can help if their needs are beyond optometry. Dr. Crawford really listens, and I like that he's willing to take the time to help you navigate any questions or concerns you might have. He has been a phenomenal provider. I highly recommend him and his office for your eye care needs!

One staff member acted like I needed her permission to leave the building, which was both unnecessary and condescending. During the appointment, the person fitting my glasses made inaccurate assumptions about my vision history, dismissed my input, and even physically hurt me during the fitting--with zero apology. When I politely corrected him, he brushed it off entirely. What makes it worse? I sent a kind, detailed follow-up email asking about important next steps in my eye care--lenses, drops, treatments--and nearly two weeks later, I've received no response. For a place that had no problem taking over $600 for glasses, the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I don't recommend this clinic if you expect to be treated with basic respect or to receive professional follow-through on your care.

But then, thankfully, I was told that I could be put on a waiting list! I was seen the following week. The Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the doctor is very thorough during his examinations to make sure that you get the exact prescription you need. This is only my second pair of glasses so I was struggling to find frames that I liked, but Amy was there to guide me through the process. God bless Amy because I would've walked out with a pair of clown glasses for sure. Highly recommend!

Dr. Mills' office is actually closer to my home. After a thorough eye examination, I was told that I was misdiagnosed by the other optometrist. What a relief! The previous doc hadn't even performed the tests needed to make the diagnosis, just made his judgment based on symptoms. Dr. Christopher Mills took the time to sit down with me and go over the test results, explain my symptoms and treatments, and help me get fitted back into contact lenses (that I hadn't worn in over two years). I feel that I was treated with care and concern by Dr. Mills. I felt appreciated and not just hurried through so he could get to the next patient. I certainly would recommend this practice to anyone.

I was very impressed by there equipment and technology. People are super friendly. They had a reasonable assortment of Eyewear at a higher-end price. There are some things to note. Check on if they take your insurance. Take a pile of cash because they are not credit card friendly. That meaning they charge you about 3% on your total payment. In today's world I find that very unusual because most people don't carry cash or a checkbook. For us older people that equates to 3 to 4 days food. All else was good except due to my insurance I had to go to a different place for my glocoma exam..

Out of 47 days I had my new glasses, I only wore them a total of 18 days due to the frame breaking and the wrong prescription. Since the warranty only works on one frame and mine broke in 30 days, I can't get another frame WHEN this one breaks. They told me that if I keep adjusting them that's what's breaking the frame, they blame shifted the poor quality of the product to it being my problem. One warranty, no refunds, poor customer service and lack of accountability of anyone there doing wrong. It's the customers fault...They have the same problem as so many other business do now, they look past you to the next customer.

We went through the motions of eye tests, etc. But he explained things to me in such detail. It was really appreciated. The most caring and knowledgeable eye doctor I've seen…read more I had been previously diagnosed with mild astigmatism. Another eye doctor that I later saw in Charlotte failed to diagnose it, and when I brought up the earlier diagnosis, dismissed my concerns. Dr. David Au correctly diagnosed my astigmatism - there was a noticeable difference between the normal and astigmatism lens - and I'm glad to be finally able to get the lens I need. Dr. Au answered all my questions and showed me a protocol for referring contact lens prescriptions - quite refreshing compared to other eye docs I've seen that were less transparent and steered me towards one particular brand (that I wonder if they were receiving some form of kickbacks on). Thank you Dr. Au for being an kind, thorough, and ethical doctor. I will be a regular here.
