This ghetto of a neighborhood has poor management and no assigned parking. As a resident of three…read moreyears there and having to play musical parking spaces every night, I will be seeking other living accommodations. This community is littered with trash. The dumpsters are constantly piled with refuse. The local police are on-site almost every week. They are slow to repair broken plumbing and other utilities. They are "renovating" apartments as people move out, but they want to charge those leaving for every little fault despite the unit being gutted and remodeled. The remodeling is of no good in buildings that were built in the 1950s. My unit has a crack in the wall from the ceiling to the floor. It can't be repaired, as the fault is in the foundation. They won't implement electronic payment of rent. It has to be paid by money order or check. The windows in the apartments are single pane aluminum and may as well be open doors in the winter as cold air blasts through them. Beware of mold and mildew if you get water anywhere in your unit. There are other and better places to live. If you have to give up your Starbucks and spend a bit more on rent, it's well worth the expense. DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER CHOICE!

My family lived here until 2016, and it served it's purpose as a roof over our heads…read more Pros: -Rent was VERY cheap compared to other units in Prince William County/Northern Virginia. Our rent was about $700, but renovated units had rent at about $800 -No pests (roaches, ants, mice) -Very, very few incidents of violence or unsavory activity (murders, assaults, gangs) occurring within this complex -No credit check or background check -Water, sewage, and trash utilities are included in the rent -Connie's convenience store is less than 50 feet from the complex. -3 bus stops located within a 2-5 minute walk from complex. -McDonald's/Rite Aid/Todos Grocery Store/Bank of America are about a 10-12 minute walk from the complex Cons: -Run-down building appearance -Loud music is sometimes blasted during daytime hours or weekends, which can be a nuisance to those in the community. -No background check (Many suspicious looking characters lived on-site, including ones with less than favorable histories) -Men or groups of people sometimes like to congregate outside in front of walkways or stairs, which can be intimidating/frustrating to single people or families trying to get to their apartment -No laundry facility on-site -No central A/C or heat. -In lieu of central A/C or heat, a bulky wall unit is supplied, which notoriously makes for expensive electric bills -1 or 2 residents' guests often would take up much needed parking from other residents -Limited parking We did not have any pest problems, that I can recall other than an occasional spider. Due to our close proximity to Williamstown and Ginn Memorial Park (adjacent to our complex), there was a moderate police presence that made the neighborhood feel a bit unsafe and uncomfortable. Each unit has one bedroom and one bathroom, and a small kitchen with a refrigerator and electric stove (no dishwasher in our unit). Our unit did not have central A/C or heat, which created very high electric bills during summer and winter. Instead, our unit featured a bulky wall unit next to the front door that produced both air conditioning and heat. The bedroom featured a furnace that heated up quite nicely in the winter. Unlike many apartments, the bathroom was located in the bedroom, which meant that if you were to have guests over, they would need to walk through your bedroom to get to the bathroom, which can be uncomfortable for all parties. Each bathroom has a window, which is convenient, and the room also features a sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower. The entire bathroom is about 8 feet deep and 5 feet wide. Takeaway: If an individual or a family is in dire need of an apartment, and the head of household does not have high income or a strong credit score, this complex may be worth checking out. Although there are some shady characters that reside here, everybody tends to stay within their circles. The likelihood of anyone harassing you is highly unlikely. However, if you would like an apartment complex with a bit more amenities, I would look into Quantico Court and a bit less activity. Apartments there are $792 a month.

Hello, Potential Neighbors! Firstly, I will say that for what one pays to live here, it will be…read moredifficult to find another apartment in Prince William County, let alone Northern Virginia, for the price and amenities. I am a native of this area, and have lived almost everywhere in this county, and for this price anywhere else, you will have the opposite of all of the pros I have listed below. My family has been living here since 2016 on the ground floor, and here is a summary: Pros: A) Rent is $792 as of this posting, and that includes water, trash collection, and sewage, which the only utilities you pay are electricity, cable, and internet. B) No roaches, ants, mice. Management provides treatment every few weeks as a preventative measure. C) Very few incidents that make the community look bad (violence, gangs, property damage, extreme police activity) D) Quick repairs when items/appliances are broken. E) A bus stop is located in front of the community that arrives/departs about every 30 minutes except Sundays, where there is no service. F) A reasonably priced convenience store called PJ's Market is within a 3 minute walk of the community. G) 3 parking lots w/ guest parking spaces available H)Laundry Facilities on site Cons: A)Young/older men will stand around outside occasionally on the evenings/weekends playing loud music/smoking/drinking which can be intimidating/unappealing to a young woman/women walking. B )Occasional police activity (2-3x a month) to arrest someone or investigate a complaint C) 3-5x a year, there will be people arguing loudly outside, typically couples or former friends D)No elevators E)Sometimes, guests will not park in designated parking, which will ensure that residents will have to walk further to their apartment F) Floors are thin, which means little feet running upstairs sound more like elephant feet stomping ferociously. G)Other residents will sometimes get sloppy when bringing their trash to the dumpster, and will leave large trash bags/discarded food outside of the receptacle, which looks unappealing, and allows animals to rummage, and create a bigger mess. H)The location of the apartment is not in a convenient, central location. It can feel a bit isolated compared to an apartment on a more travelled road. Also, the scenery is not much to look at unless one likes woods or parking lots. However, overall, from the day that my family arrived here, I felt that this community was the PERFECT example of a stepping stone. The goal when living here should be to live comfortably, save money, and eventually move on to something bigger and better! According to the website, https://www.apartmentguide.com/apartments/Virginia/Triangle/Quantico-Court/12241/ , each apartment measures at about 588 square feet (one bedroom, one bathroom), which will feel very small when more than 2 people are sharing a space, but again, I feel that a family should not be making Quantico Court a forever home, because there is only one bedroom, one bathroom, and limited space, but again, that is just my opinion.

SHOREHAVEN APARTMENTS: ILLEGALLY LEASING SINCE 2014…read more 10+ YEARS of Failed Inspections & Tenant Fraud Shorehaven Apartments has been illegally leasing apartments since 2014 with failed safety inspections EVERY SINGLE YEAR. They knew about these violations but still scammed tenants into unsafe, unapproved housing. ONGOING HEALTH VIOLATIONS & LEGAL DELAYS Shorehaven is STILL ignoring tenants suffering from bed bugs & mold. My first two Google reviews have reached 30,500+ views. I had to sue just to get an acknowledgment for hotel reimbursements. I've lost my job, car, and apartment due to their negligence. Unit 203 across the hall just moved out yesterday--more tenants are fleeing. Shorehaven's fraud is being fully exposed, and the legal battle is already in motion. DOCUMENTED PUBLIC PROOF Court-stamped lawsuit filings submitted on 2/6/25 (proof of active litigation). Health violations causing documented medical harm (bed bug bites, ER visit, loss of work). Failed county inspections proving Shorehaven has operated illegally since 2014. 30,500+ views on Google reviews, proving mass tenant awareness. RETALIATION & FRAUD (ILLEGAL ACTIONS BY SHOREHAVEN) Nov 3, 2024 - I posted a Google review exposing Shorehaven's negligence. Nov 4-7, 2024 - Shorehaven pressured Sandra to get me to remove it. Nov 15, 2024 - Shorehaven got served with a lawsuit and told Sandra to remove me from the lease. Dec 2, 2024 - While I was out of state, they attempted an illegal eviction. Dec 24, 2024 - Sandra admitted on tape that Shorehaven Apartments instructed her to retaliate. THIS IS ILLEGAL UNDER VIRGINIA LAW. THIS WILL BE USED AGAINST THEM IN COURT. THE DEADLINE FOR SHOREHAVEN TO RESPOND IS 2/21/25. This is your warning--settle or face legal & public consequences.

Review Update for Shorehaven Apartments - November 13, 2024…read more An update on the unbearable bed bug infestation here at Shorehaven Apartments: as I write this at 12:46 a.m., I'm in the bathtub, trying to escape relentless itching and sleepless nights. Last week, I had to book a 4-night hotel stay due to this unresolved issue. Since reporting the infestation on October 12, management's response has been slow and inadequate, leaving me with worsening health concerns. Despite my pleas, the next treatment isn't scheduled until November 20. I've contacted local code enforcement and neighborhood services, as both the main leaseholder and community manager have pressured me to remove my review, which has left me mentally and physically drained. I have evidence of this ongoing neglect.

The office staff were always so nice and helpful. We didn't run into any maintenance issues. The mailbox, office, and pool were right by our building so it was convenient. Our apartment was a 2 bedroom 2 bath. The layout was perfect - bedrooms were on opposite sides of the unit so we got our own privacy. The sunlight in the morning came through our dining room/kitchen so weekend breakfast was always a vibe. The walls weren't that thin and the noise was minimal. We had really nice neighbors throughout the years in the building. When we moved out, our inspector was also very nice and we had a good idea of what the charges would be. All reasonable and we received our security deposit check mailed within the expected time. Fair rent price, and in comparison to other apartments in the area this place was the best deal and the apartments felt a lot bigger.
