I found Donna & Jenna Gray on a puppy adoption site a few years ago. They are a private breeder that makes trips often to the Chicago area in order to deliver their pups, free of charge I might add. I drove to Warrenville because I just couldn't wait another day to get my new baby.
I got Ebi, a female yorkshire terrier in early 2009. She was the largest and last puppy of the litter that no one wanted. The typical Yorkie seeker wants them to be 1 lb and fit in the palm of your hand for the rest of their lives (for whatever pea-brained reason..) And with the prices they charge you in Chicago for a Yorkie, they have pups at very reasonable prices that won't cost you a fortune just to own one of these adorable breeds.
Well, I feel so sorry for those owners who snatched up all the puppies in that litter because Ebi is the best little doggie I have ever had the pleasure owning. She is extremely adorable, everyone loves her, I take her everywhere: to the movies, shopping, nail salons, restaurants even (hidden in her bag of course) and she is so well behaved. She isn't yappy or snippy, great with kids. Everything about her is perfect, her ears stand perfectly, her coat and color are beautiful, she has a prance when she walks, she is very smart and #1, healthy.
I was so impressed with her so much that I called Donna when it was time for a playmate and male-oriented companion for my fiance. Although the Yorkie is a chic magnet for him, he needed a pet to walk and not feel like a punk (his words...not mine). So I looked on the website and found the most handsome black miniature Schnauzer, we call him Kenji. I can't tell you how many compliments I get about our boy. He is very sweet, walks with confidence like a stallion, handsome, playful and a little shy (he won't look you in the eye too long). People get a kick out of that. And the two get along great, a plus in choosing dogs in the same terrier family I suppose. Jenna delivered Kenji to me and I loved him at first sight.
People stop and ask us all time during walks, driving in their cars, in Petsmart/Petco, everywhere, wanting to know where I got my dogs from. I have sent them many customers over the years and keep her # in my cell phone to give to people that inquire, which is so often. So I thought, why not put a review on Yelp too? The Gray women know their stuff when it comes to breeding puppies and produce nothing but the best quality puppies!
If you are looking for a new 4-legged addition to your family check out the website. If you don't see what you are looking for give either of them a call. You won't be disappointed and they are very eager to help you in your search.
