Finding a web developer is a daunting task. The field is littered with con artists whose abilities…read morebegin and end with talking a good game. Having learned that lesson the hard way multiple times, I'm happy to report that Holy Cow Online Marketing represents the experience of working with a developer exactly as I'd always imagined it to be. I brought a complex, custom WordPress concept to them. After meticulously examining my requirements, Larry Daniele, the company's owner and lead developer, provided a detailed estimate, which obviously reflected a careful reading of my needs. After we agreed to work together, Larry and his team maintained that level of care that was exhibited at the outset throughout the entire development schedule. Larry is both an expert programmer and skilled communicator. My site requires me to actively engage in its updates, and Larry walked me through the complexities of hand-on involvement. He seemed to know exactly how much to teach at any given time and what to hold back until further understanding on my end was demonstrated. Though I look back in amazement at some of the things I can now do with no previous computer programming experience, at no point during the learning curve did I feel overwhelmed or anxious. Of course, the really hard stuff remains Larry's domain. He combines expert problem solving with imagination and a can-do attitude. Any ideas I had along the way to improve the site prior to its launch were greeted with maximum attention. Never once did I have to repeat my wishes. To get that degree of personal attention was invaluable both to realizing my vision and keeping my confidence high. If you have a modest ambition for a web site, chances are good that Holy Cow Online Marketing can have it up and running within a few weeks. If you have a grander design in mind, you can be sure your site will not languish. My experience has shown that Larry doesn't take on more than he can handle at any given time. I can't recall a single time where I wondered, "what's going on with the site?" You can expect steady progress from beginning to end and if you provide a realistic deadline, a huge effort to meet it dead on time -- which he accomplished with my site www.CTRiverGolf.com. Prior to working with Holy Cow Online Marketing, I'd sunk substantial funds into four separate developers, all of whom proved unable to get my site even halfway completed before employing stalling tactics that convinced me they were hucksters happy to pick up a big deposit without the intention or ability of finishing the task. True professionals are very hard to find in this industry. I feel very lucky to have finally found one in HCOM -- even if it did take five tries.

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I believe it's important to share my experience so…read moreother business owners can make informed decisions. When I first spoke with the owner at Amherst Copy about designing menus for my restaurant, I was told the work would take about 6 hours and be completed within one week, starting around 12/31/2025. Unfortunately, the project was delayed for nearly two months and was not completed until 2/26/2026. During that time, I had to visit the shop many times to review and correct mistakes in the design. Several times they printed sample versions of the menu, and we carefully checked them and marked all the corrections that needed to be fixed. We returned those samples with detailed notes. However, many of the important corrections were not applied, which forced us to repeat the same process multiple times. What was most frustrating was that the time spent correcting these repeated mistakes appeared to be charged to us as hourly design work. In the end, we were billed $1,486, which was extremely surprising considering the delays and the number of errors we had to correct ourselves. Because of these issues, our restaurant opening was delayed while customers kept asking when we would open. We also spent over $500 printing take-out menus and banners, which we ultimately had to throw away because the design could not be used. We eventually had to hire another designer and start the entire menu project again from the beginning. Instead of resolving the situation, the company filed a court case against us, which added even more stress for a small business owner. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. I encourage other business owners to clearly confirm timelines, revisions, and billing practices before starting a project.

I hired this printing company to print my restaurant menus. We provided all the necessary files and…read morespecifications, but the printed menus we received were incorrect. This caused significant delays in opening my restaurant by about two months. Additionally, we had already paid for the printed menus, which now must be discarded, resulting in over $500 in losses. We are currently redoing the menus with a new designer, and the company still has the original printed menus. I am sharing this experience to help others avoid similar problems, and to advise anyone using their services to carefully check samples before approving the final print.
