They used to be good but price increases and declining quality not transparent on everything and office is hard to talk to

Service and quality is always on point! We have used them for years and always a great experience!

We have used Graves Garage Door several times. Today, 10/22/2025 we had them out to change out our 20 year old garage door opener. We had an old Marantec one. They replaced it with a new MS 270 Synergy one. It included an all new rail system, 2 openers, 2 eyes , new outside keypad , and they programed our old Marnatec remotes. Graves technician Bill was great . He was not only on time but early. Performed all work quickly, efficiently and explained all new features. We highly recommend Graves family owned Garage Door Company as they are reliable, fast service and care about the customer. Something rare in this day and age. Marantec is also a high end garage door opener and will last years longer than there competitors. We have had many homes over the years and none prior had the Marantec openers.. without a doubt they are the best in our opinion from our experience with other brands. For our money we will always use Graves Garage Door as that is the customer experience we want and choose. read more

The rubber belt came apart on my garage door opener. I researched belt replacement, order info and cost plus cost to install. I discussed with Graves and was prepared to buy a new opener. Then Mr. "MD" showed up, showed me an alternative, installed a new rail and chain at a cost about 1/2 a new opener. MD is a professional, very nice guy and I very uch appreciate his advise, work ethic and the job he did for me. MD is a true asset to Graves and should be acknowledged as such. Jim G. read more

I've had two different experiences with this company so really torn at this point. My first experience was stellar. They responded quickly and professionally. They had an outstanding price. The work was top notch. I was thoroughly impressed. My second experience... I'm still in a bit of disbelief. I found myself in need of a garage door repair after an accident. I called them on Monday (6/22/2020) around lunchtime. The entire phone call seemed great. The representative was very polite and told me that she was going to the warehouse to see if they had the parts to fix my garage in stock or if they would need to be ordered. She pulled up my previous repair and confirmed all of my information. She said that someone would be calling me back the same day. Fast forward to Tuesday, the promised return phone call from Monday never happened. At the end of the day, I sent an email to them that I was still waiting for the phone call promised on Monday and was frustrated that they hadn't called back as promised. I also sent them a message through Facebook Messenger telling them I was frustrated they hadn't returned my call. On to Wednesday... I received a "read" receipt from Facebook Messenger around 8 AM. No response. No phone call. No return email. It's now 12:49 PM and still nothing. I'm not sure why they have chosen to ignore me rather than give me a courtesy call but if this is how they choose to do business, my current recommendation would be to avoid them. read more

What a wonderful company! The quality is great and affordable. After having a broken garage for over 10 years, our new door is so much better than we expected. They put the windows in the right place, gave us insulation that keeps our garage cooler, and the quiet garage door opener. David Smith helped us decide on what features to get in the door. What a great guy! We tried a couple of companies (not saying which) to get a quote and they were way too expensive. My neighbor just had theirs replaced and suggested Graves. Good call neighbor! We are incredibly happy with our door and I appreciate David for helping us out and making our choice much easier. Please keep them in mind if you're looking for a new door. They also custom doors and doors for the new style houses that are going up lately. Thanks y'all! read more

Waited a very long time for the garage door to come in. The initial customer representative lacked phone skills (contacted in late 2021). Since then, changes were made and improved a lot. We are very happy with the new door and care to have the function of the door smooth. The technician did not know how to couple the car visor remote to the new system. We'll figure that out on our own. read more

Outstanding Service!!! I spoke with Rick and Ben, on Thursday morning, my door was measured within an hour. I had my new garage door installed Monday morning by 9 am. I am in love with my new door. The installer was prompt and courteous. I will be honest, I tried a retailer store before I contacted anyone else. My house was without a garage door for 8 weeks and waiting, because of the backorder at the factory from covid. This company was recommended to me, and I was extremely happy I called. Now my house has a beautiful garage door, and my house will be warm for winter. Thank you, Graves!!! read more

We called Graves for a garage door opener (transmitter). A $36 item on Amazon. Graves wanted to charge us over $100 to come out to the house and additional monies for the transmitter. They said they don't sell transmitter only. It took me less than 30 secs tp program with new transmitter from Amazon. BE AWARE THEY WILL SCAM YOU IF YOU ALLOW! Never again will I ever use, recommend Graves in Cumming, GA to anyone. read more

Needed to get the springs replaced. Graves came out and did the job in short order, for a fair price, and we were very pleased. Everything worked fine but 5 mos later the garage door got stuck and would not open or close. Graves came out and QUICKLY fixed the issue as a warranty repair with no hassles at all. Their customer service was excellent, very polite and understanding. We are so happy we went with them. read more

This is the 2nd time I have used Graves and I could not be more pleased with the service. One of my door springs broke yesterday and I called for service. My technician, Jeff Rockmore, provided fast, knowledgeable, on time, next day service at a reasonable price. He is also one of the nicest and friendliest people I've met. Great job! read more

I bought overhead garage door openers from these guys a few years ago ... they work great. A couple of weeks ago my exterior keypad malfunctioned. I tried to program it but could not get it figured out. I called Graves back to help me trouble shoot the problem. They said they'd have some call me back... didn't hear from them. I just called again and the lady that answers the phone didn't sound interested in helping me ... said they really weren't set up to help people over the phone.... all of their techs load up early and are gone all day she said. I told her I guess I'd start using someone else that provides better customer service... she said OK and hung up. read more

Graves is very good. I used them 10 years ago to replace my garage door springs. They did a good job so I gave them another shot. My 20 year old, contractor grade, Wayne Dalton garage opener, went bust on me, just sat there, blinking at me sadly. Poor thing. Sorry to see ya go old buddy.... Graves was good from the get go. On the phone Ricky pulled my records and got a tech to me by Monday, Jeff, who inspected everything said "new unit" and showed me "Marantec, a German company, made in USA, $349, all inclusive, less than anybody else we install, highest quality, lifetime warrantee, super quiet." I peppered Jeff with questions and he handled em well, so Ok, sign me up. The next day I had a few more questions. spoke with Greg, he was good too. They must all be drinking the same kool aid on this Marantec equipment (didnt they make stereos in the 70s..oh no that was Marantz, lol). Then I talked to my european friend and he said, "big company in Europe, best quality" and "my son bought a home from a German couple in Windward, they had a Marantec in their garage, super quiet". Wow. Next day, Nick comes out to do the install, "hey you did the Marantech, great choice, that's all I recommend now! Nick did a great job. Under 2 hours. He installed the unit, greased and tightened all the springs, bolts and rollers so it was all perfectly balanced. But the real question is, is it quiet? Yeah. Super quiet. Whisper quiet. You know that roller coaster freight train sound? Gone. Its eerie. I keep listening. No noise. Every hour I gotta play with the door, up, down, up, down. Hehe. Its weird. Pass the kool aid, I'm sold. read more

They did a great job installing new doors and lifts. They did a great job in repairing the lifts after a flood in the room above the garage. We had a glitch in a related repair to the doors, but they stepped up and made it right. Prompt. Efficient. Fair. read more

My garage door opener went out months ago. We had been opening it by hand until it finally gave up the ghost and would not close fully by hand . Called graves on Tuesday and were out by Friday. James came in went right to work fixing the door then replaced the opener. There was up-selling, I actually asked for a keypad. He did excellent work and for what I feel was a great price. Highly recommend!! read more
