she LOVES touching/laying/sitting on us! we attribute her need for physical contact to being raised w/ her many litter mates

im sorry to hear the negative reviews of graves labradors because it might lead people to think gina graves is a bad breeder which couldn't be further from the truth.. im not minimizing the giardia outbreak or the fact that ginas place will never be a contender for better homes and gardens BUT those 2 things do not change the fact that gina breeds THE MOST INTELLIGENT, HEALTHY & GORGEOUS labs! our puppy, shay, is 9 month old now and we are in awe of her! her intelligence is off the charts in so many ways.. she learns new things incredibly fast.., house breaking, leash walking, sit, stay & heel, etc.. she 'retrieved a ball the very first day we brought her home.. she creates games for herself (I. E. putting her ball behind the couch cushions to so she can 'find' it, going thru a 'tunnel' to retrieve her ball just because it's fun, etc.) she walked perfectly on a leash after 2 walks because she 'got' the idea right away.. people would comment on this little puppy walking next to my husband like an adult dog! she's confident and not afraid of anything.. she dove off our pool deck without a moments hesitation! (of course my husband was right there to catch her) she LOVES everyone she see! she gets herself into a fit of jumping and barking (we're working on that:) because she can't believe her good fortune of friends! she's THE MOST affectionate dog ive ever owned! from the moment we got her she was touchy-feely.. she lays on our feet if she can't lay on us! we might have just lucked out with this exceptional dog but i tend to think our puppy is the way she is BECAUSE of the way gina breeds.. gina is not a micro manager.. she let's the canine instincts that nature gives take thier course and intervenes when/if it's necessary.. she let's her dogs be dogs and with that philosophy balance develops and BALANCED DOGS are allowed to develop.. she doesn't coddle the dogs or puppies & that makes for a non-needy dog but she doesn't neglect them either.. (& yes, they have toys and a raised bed for mommy in their kennels) i knew gina was doing something right when we pulled up to her place the first time and about 10 or so of her dogs came to the fence.. NOT ONE DOG was barking or out of control.. they simply came to the fence to see who the visitor was & once they saw us they laid back down as a pack! that was a balanced pack of dogs! (a previous review of dogs fighting each other seems made up or he saw a one off situation) i went out to see my puppy 4 or 5 different times before we could take her home and i always saw this same calm scenario.. my main point is that in my experience with gina im convinced she is an educated and loving breeder and her breeding dogs and our puppy prove that to me..

Just a puppy mill. Breeding Dogs have no interaction with people and are treated sub par.

I do not recommend this breeder. Maureen was very evasive about answering a SIMPLE question…read more(regarding a "picking your pup" procedure). My wife and I are exploring potential breeders. Her website was not clear on how and when you "pick your pup". I had to ask the question three times and finally I pulled it out of her. Obviously she did not like answering the question (and/or explaining how it is done). Finally, her evasive answer was that you pick your pup via "email". I then simply stated that I could not understand how you can pick a pup via email... and "did she instead mean" ; Facebook, Skype, Snapchat, so that we could see the pups interact with each other, etc.... At that point, she said she was not comfortable being our breeder. This breeder appears to be in it for the money and lacks the love of dogs and interested in their placement. At best she lacks basic business/people skills. With this attitude, can you imagine her availability for answering questions after you bring your pup home. I recommend another breeder. PS..... the breeder responded on Yelp after she read my review and FALSELY SAID I my emails were hostile. This is ABSOLUTLEY NOT TRUE..... I have the emails to prove it. She did not like having to answer questions about her "pick a pup procedure".... first evaded answering (in two emails) .... then (in a third email request) she give an answer that said..... "you pick your pup in an email ..... and that she was not comfortable being my breeder". NO ONE PICKS A PUP VIA EMAIL.... AT MINIMUM, YOU DO IT VIA FACEBOOK, SKYPE, SNAPCHAT, ETC.

I'm so grateful for Maureen and her work in breeding dogs with the best temperament. I know many of Maureen's puppies go on to become service and facility dogs. In fact, my puppy's littermate is going to work at the local police department! I've also lost count as to how many times I've been asked who the breeder is because he's a good looking dog. I know the wait list for one of Maureen's puppies is long, but I promise you it's well worth the wait! She's a breeder with integrity and excellent experience. I couldn't have been luckier to have found her, and to have gotten one of her puppies... best dog I've ever had. My puppy is: So chill. So easy to train. Gorgeous. Sweetest thing ever.

Loved the pick up day when we all sat with our babies and got all of the last info that any of us required. Sofie has been happy and healthy for all her years. I purchased a Standard Poodle from this breeder. Shortly after she turned one, she developed severe…read moredandruff/flaky skin, redness, significant hair loss, changes to her coat, and recurring eye discharge. Throughout the year, I spent a lot of money on veterinary visits, testing, medications, and treatments. She underwent multiple treatments for allergies, but nothing resolved her skin and coat problems. My vet ultimately ruled out allergies as the cause and said a skin biopsy would be needed to determine what was causing her condition. After all of the expenses throughout the year, I couldn't afford the biopsy. Because my son was experiencing very bad allergies and asthma that were being aggravated by the amount of skin flakes and dander, I eventually made the heartbreaking decision to return her to the breeder. I was told the breeder could have the biopsy done at a more reasonable cost. The breeder also told me that once everything with her skin resolved, I could get her back if I wanted to. I continued asking for updates because I cared deeply about my dog and wanted to know what was happening with her. I was later told that my messages asking for updates were "annoying." In my interactions with Leanna, I found her communication to be very rude and dismissive calling me pathetic. I have the text messages from our conversations that reflect my experience. I then learned that my dog had been placed with another family before the biopsy was performed, so she never received a definitive diagnosis. I have since spoken with other people who told me they purchased poodles from this breeder and that their dogs received confirmed diagnoses of sebaceous adenitis (SA). I feel this is important to mention considering the symptoms my dog experienced and the fact that a biopsy was recommended to determine the cause. She had symptoms associated with sebaceous adenitis, including severe flaking, hair loss, and changes to her coat. I cared deeply for my dog and put a great deal of time, effort, and money into trying to help her. Returning her was an extremely difficult decision, especially because I believed there was a possibility I could get her back once her skin problems were resolved. Based on my personal experience, I would not purchase another dog from this breeder. Since then I have never received an apology, or any amount of refund for LeAnna selling me a dog to have these issues in only the first 2 years of having her.I recommend anyone considering purchasing from this breeder do their own research. Some people were never meant to breed animals.
