    Aromatherapy bar is so sweet
    Judy T.

Beautiful little shop with a great selection of products. Very reasonably priced. And my favorite thing is you can saddle right up to the aromatherapy bar and make your own potion. I love doing this and it makes such nice gifts. They added a very pretty personalized label as well. My selection smelled amazing and it's such a wonderful unique thing to gift someone special. I found the service lovely and very helpful.

This hair oil is delicious. I bought a small bottle but should have bought the large one! It's that good!

Glad I did - the sun is strong even in December! Staff members were friendly and helpful - one person directed me to the sun block. I bought a tube from the Seaweed Bath Co., thinking that it seemed a bit pricey at around $20 but then checked online and saw that it's $19 direct from the manufacturer. I looked around the store and saw some interesting products that I'd never seen before, like mycelium-based bacon (MyBacon). Some items seem overpriced (olive oil) but others (Sappo Hill or Dr. Bronner's soap) are very reasonable. I'm giving Joshua Tree Health Foods 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Large selection of bulk ingredients, from nuts and flour to herbs and spices. * Almost all of the items stocked in bulk were organic. * When I looked at specific products, like bar soap, the brands in stock were among the most ethical. * A large amount of vegan items on sale such as Nuts for Cheese and Violife dairy. * Inclusive business where all are welcome.

The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.

I told him I'm looking for something that has zero carbs I purchased at the store before and he told me that practically everything in the store is low carbs, Which is not correct, there are some products to bulk up which would have lots of carbs. I end up finding the product I wanted which was bio pro zero and it was only in chocolate. I asked him if there are any other flavors and he says no there is not and again seemed annoyed that I asked that question. As a matter of fact he seemed annoyed I was even in the store, not sure why. You would think any customer in the store is better than none. I left him and went online and found that bio also has vanilla flavored. I went online and ordered directly and I won't be using this nutrition store in the future. Too bad, I believe this is a family run business and I hate to see businesses losing out especially local business.
