Knowing Aldi in Europe, we were pleased to see how clean and neat this location was. Produce was fresh and store well kept. Staff was confident and friendly! Definitely a go-to if you want quality at bargain prices!

This place is completely understaffed and mismanaged. There was a giant snaking checkout line. 30 min wait. I will never comeback.

Lots of space...not much choice. A number of items that I needed were extremely high in sodium (20% - 41%).

I am absolutely done with Grocery Outlet (G.O.) in Yucca Valley! I bought 2 dairy items there about…read more3 weeks ago. Both the gallon of milk and the quart of half & half were date stamped within "normal" range for my usage. I opened the 1/2 & 1/2 before the "sell by" date stamp. It was spoiled upon opening! I then took a look at the gallon of milk I bought and it was separating and also beginning to have a bad odor. I have been a customer of Yucca Valley G.O. since it opened. I spend about $150.00 (+/-) every week. I am quite familiar with all the staff, which are always very friendly to me. I like the eclectic products and deals offered there. So, with a smile on my face, I happily drove down to Y.V. Grocery Outlet to swap these items that prematurely spoiled. Mind you, retail cost of both items together was in the neighborhood of $5.00. The new cashier called the store manager who told me that I needed a receipt in order to swap the 2 products. I didn't have a receipt. I was asked if I had the G.O. app on my cell phone. I responded, "Sure". The receipt could not be found in my records. Then for the first time since I've been a customer there, I was informed that YOU MUST put in your telephone number at the time of purchase in order to have your receipt be a part of your G.O. mobile app. IMO this bit of information SHOULD BE POSTED at each register. So the bottom line is that no matter how much I tried to reason with the store manager, he insisted that the only possible way I would be able to swap my dairy items was with a valid receipt. I explained to him if that's the case I'm leaving and will never set foot in Yucca Valley Grocery Outlet again. I informed him that my revenue to Y.V. G.O. of $600.00 to $700.00 per month will disappear if his position was firm. He didn't seem to mind that a one time accommodation of $5.00 for spoiled product would cost the store $600.00 - 700.00 per month. WHAT AN ATTITUDE!!!! BTW...this was the first time I'd ever had an incident of premature spoilage at Y.V. G.O. My recommendation is go to either Desert Hot Springs or the Palm Springs locations. The manager told me I could reach the Y.V. G.O. owner by making a cell phone call to the Y.V. store. I went outside and called call was answered by the cashier I dealt with when I walked into the Y.V. store. She had no clue as to how to speak to or leave a message with the franchise owner. I AM DONE WITH YUCCA VALLEY GROCERY OUTLET!

The turkey, while good, wasn't freshly carved, which took a little away from the "special" feel. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.

While standing in line, I realize there's no menu on the wall like they used to be. So I walked towards the front of the line to read the menu and everybody there. I thought I was trying to cut them which almost started an argument with the other people in line. I wasn't trying to cut. I was trying to read the damn menu. This is the stupidest setup that I've ever seen for an order menu. When that person was done, I picked up the menu so I could view it closer as I do not have my singing glasses with me and the menu was tiny little print out of a regular printer. So then the next guy started freaking out like I was trying to cut in line. The people here on this valley (many foreigners) are too stupid for you to have your menus like this. You need to put them back up on the wall. Or else have several of them so that people standing in line can see what they want to order before they get up to the order window. Why would you take down your menu off the wall and replace it with a tacky piece of paper with a three dollar menu stand? I don't know it just seems like it's an awful confusing mess right now. All these people in the photo are trying to take turns looking at that menu. Everybody's cutting in front of each other to try to see it. I can't believe your employees haven't said something. You seriously need to fix this.
