This was during summer so it's chill and quite quiet, but I can see this place absolutely banging once semester starts, and I have a feeling it may be hard to find a spot once Tampa students are back. I got an iced latte and the mint patties from the little display. I'm a casual consumer of York mint patties, so I was intrigued to see homemade ones, and they came out better than I expected! The mint patty is chilled solid, and the chocolate coating is really smooth. They're rich but balanced; neither the mint nor the chocolate overpowers the other. Three patties this size for around $5-ish feels like a good deal. I do love that this place gives a very authentic small business vibe. There are different merch displays around the shop, all sorts of games (shuffleboard, chess, board games), and outlets and extensions in various spots. The fact that they display wifi information around gives an extra welcoming atmosphere, on top of the staff putting a fireplace scene on the TV, in addition to the built-in electric fireplace!

I'm drinking what I suspect is a large oat milk latte rather than the small I ordered, although I don't know how much of that is my fault. (The person who took my order, after I asked for a "small latte with oat milk," asked if I wanted it hot or iced; when I said hot, she said "16 or 24 ounce," which made it sound like those were the small and large sizes--but I suspect those were the sizes for *iced,* because there is definitely a 12-ounce cup for hot that I see other customers with!) Anyway, it's a good latte, although if they have ceramic cups for sitting in there's no sign of them. The atmsosphere is pretty similar to the way it has been on previous visits under other names: a little industrial, concrete with black metal and wood tables and accents. The music is pleasant and quiet. It's clearly very popular with UT students, which was true in previous incarnations. Back when it was Medina River Coffee Roasters, I presume they used Medina River coffee; there's no sign of who they're using now, and they don't sell beans to go, as far as I see. While this is a perfectly fine coffee shop, there's not a lot here that differentiates it from others around Tampa save for being open late--and having a relatively complete food menu, which I didn't try but seems to get good reviews. If you're a student at University of Tampa, this is undoubtedly a great hangout; if you're traveling and looking for genuinely great coffee in the area, I'd probably point you toward Buddy Brew, Shortwave, Elevation, and even Orlando-based chain Foxtail ahead of this.

It's colorful and very sunny, but it would also be the snuggliest place to sit while it's raining and just sip away and read. There are so many drink and food options here. I had the pistachio matcha with strawberry cold foam and a spinach/feta pastry. Both were good choices. You can order at the register or from a QR code and they'll call you to come get it. It's so casual and laid back. This adorable hangout would melt away any work frazzles I could possible walk in with. I love the low ceilings and the vintage hardwood floors and the slouchy couch and the eastern light streaming in the front window of this older, repurposed home. There's original artwork everywhere, including the ceiling (some of it's for sale). There's also a rack of clothing items, jewelry, scrunchies and other items for sale. I love the eclectic vibe-and the guitar propped up by the front window. Phoebe could definitely sing "Smelly Cat" here. Heck, they're so welcoming here, Ross could probably set up his keyboard and share "the sound." They DO have live music here-and a side patio. There's some parking up front and extra parking in back. It means "my coffee" in Yemeni Arabic if I got this information correct from the kind proprietor, Yahya, My wonderful wife and I ordered two large drinks, a Mufawa and a Sana'ani. Both hit the spot! Yahya informed me they also offer freshly made fruit juices including mango and lemonade plus hibiscus juice! We'll try them next time! Life is good with coffee from Yemen, the first place where coffee was grown as a crop and shipped worldwide! While the plant was found in Ethiopia, the industry originated in Yemen. Monks in Yemen where the first to roast and brew coffee in a way that resembles what we drink today. Life is good when you respect an origin story!

Didn't even show us where it was. The cart was hidden way back in the corner. Will not be returning as the service (or lack of) actually put me in a bad mood. Only 2 stars because the coffee is nice.
