The shady owner came and tried to say that he sent a letter to…read moreour lawyer (which she never got) when the judge asked for a copy he pulled out a wrinkled piece of paper with no date, name or signature and tried to say this is what he sent. The judge called him out on his bullshit. We won the case but he is so ridiculous he went and filed an appeal. We didn't want to go back and forth at this point....5 months of this mess so our negotiated with them. They deducted $500 from our original purchase price and wrote us a check for the rest. They said the amount deducted was for us using their product for 5 months. WHAT? I didn't want your faulty product to begin with. Anyways, after all that time we finally got rid of the couches. Don't bother even going to this store. It's not worth it.

We asked about the rug being put down and were told that the delivery would include getting everything set up. On delivery day we were told that don't do rug installation!!! so they put in the whole bedroom set and left the (under the bed rug), in a corner unsealed!! during the delivery they chipped my footboard, so they had to bring a new footboard, they did that today and I asked,,,, again could the rug be put down and again..... was told they don't do it. Called customer service and spoke to 3 very nice people but only to get to where we were told the 3 party delivers can do or not do this, it is at their discretion. Ok well had I know this we would not have bought the rug!!! So then I requested to just return the rug and was told that returns have to made in 3 days!! My husband and I cannot lift the bed to lay the rug, which means we have to try to hire and pay someone, and we didn't want to do that, so we were going to return it, but now we can't do that!!! I feel certain that the salesman did not know this could happen!! But I think it's important that other people know!!! !We were very specific in store about our situation, but yet we are now stuck with a $170 rug that we only bought because we liked it and thought it would put it like everything else. I rated a 3 because the rest of the furniture is nice, so I l felt comfortable with OK and Maybe this is different for the Raleigh Store, but if you are dealing with Durham keep in mind that 3 party delivery does not do RUGS!!!!!!!!!! #verydisappointed

Recently we had a need for a new sofa and started researching local places and because of the high quality and durability of Basset, we looked at possibly buying Basset again. We read many of the reviews and saw a lot of negative comments and low ratings for this business and thought that based upon what we read, we were second guessing going with Basset for our furniture needs. One day as we were driving on Glenwood Ave looking for a different furniture store which we accidentally passed and the next drive just happened to be Basset Furniture, we decided to go in and check it out. We had our 5 month old Shih Tzu puppy with us and thought let's take him in since there was no sign on the door that said "No Pets" and as soon as we walked in, the showroom was very nice and didn't feel crowded and overwhelming like some popular chain furniture stores tend to be. As we walked further in, Pat Green greeted us and assured us that Basset Stores are very pet friendly and that set us at ease right away, so our Charlie could run freely and say hi to the other customers, he was a hit! Sitting down with Pat and telling her our needs was easy and pressure free. She explained to us the Basset way of doing things, meaning that things can be customized by arm style, cushion type, legs type/style, the type of stuffing material that you personally want and the fabric choice. Totally customizable to suit your needs. Pat gave us some nice options to think about and helped us to narrow down what best fit our needs. We placed the order for the sofa and she informed us it would be about 4 weeks to receive it and we would receive email notifications about the status of the order. After about 3.5 weeks we received a call that it would be delivered at our convenience. On the delivery day, we got a very professional call from the delivery driver and they brought in and set it up. We are extremely pleased with our experience from start to finish and would not hesitate to go back to this location for any future needs. Our salesperson Pat Green was extremely professional and very easy to deal with and so glad she was there to help us when we walked in.

Our consultant Patricia was super knowledgeable and helpful in placing our order. The furniture arrived within the stated time frame and we absolutely love it! The true superstars of this order were the 2 gentleman that made the delivery. The media center was 96" long and we were very concerned about it being damaged during transit. When the truck arrived, the units were extremely well packed and undamaged. The delivery personnel successfully navigated this order through a loading dock, on and off an elevator, and finally into our apartment. They were pleasant, professional, and had a very high attention to detail. We will definitely be purchasing again from this Bassett location!

I came here on a week day and it was packed but the kitchen seemed steady. Their service is very stream lined with pagers for food orders.
