This school provides classes for the young to old. As young as 4 yrs old to as old as you want. They teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, self-defense, & they even offer MMA class. There's several different times of class. Early morning, afternoon, or evening. This school is located right in town also. Personally, I think this is the best martial arts to start your child in. They teach your kids discipline in a fun environment. They instructors are all very patient & knowledgeable. This isn't a giant school with hundreds of students. This is more of a medium sized school. It's more family like & everyone is there to each & teach each other grow & learn. The 1 month I had the privilege & honor to train there, I've met a lot of other students & instructors. They were all so graceful, humble, & knowledgeable. The mats, facility, & restrooms are clean. He always preached that you get back what you give, to be patient and to not measure your success just by the color of the belt. Joel and Daniel were the other instructors. Daniel was very technical and Joel had a more old school approach. Each one brought something to the table to keep your game versatile. All the training partners were boys and no one was egotistical. A few months ago, an employee named Juan signed my son up for a membership over the phone. I never signed a written contract, and the cancellation policy was never explained to me. My son is leaving for military basic training on June 1st. We tried to do the right thing and cancel the membership well in advance (starting on May 7th). Despite explaining that he is leaving for the military (with orders), the front desk refused to help and said the cancellation would be "pending" until June 16th, meaning they intend to force me to pay for a full month of June while my son is away at basic training. I have reached out to the manager, Tiffany Ahnee, multiple times via email to get this resolved professionally. She has completely ignored every single email. I have attached screenshots to this review showing my original text conversations with Juan (who no longer works there) proving how the account was set up, as well as my multiple unanswered emails to Tiffany. It is shameful that a gym with the UFC brand name would treat future service members this way and trap them in billing cycles for verbal, over-the-phone agreements. Do not sign up here unless you are prepared to be ignored by management when you need to cancel.
