We had a WONDERFUL tour with Bonnie! She is very sweet, caring, and knowledgeable about the area, history, and wineries. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best time. We were laughing and joking the whole ride and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We highly recommend Grapevine Country Tours and we will use them if we visit again! Thank you Bonnie!!

Girls Just wanna have FUN!

Bonnie is AMAZING! We had a recent Girls Weekend trip on Seneca Lake and she was our hostess "with the most-ess"! Her knowledge of the area enabled us to sit back, relax, and enjoy the day without worry as to where to go- what to see- and any of the timing of the day's plan. She figured out a perfect location for our lunch in the middle of our tour, and was very informative as to the wine region and the area as a whole. Besides that, she's a very FUN and terrific woman! Great to have as a guide. Thank you very much Bonnie.....we will definitely call you when we go back up next year for sure! Heather ...and the Girls!

Our amazing tour guide, Marty!

We took our wine trail tour today and had a great experience! Bonnie was extremely helpful over the phone and had great customer service. Marty was our chauffeur/guide and couldn't be happier. He was extremely polite and professional (and also a safe driver, added bonus), as well as knowledgable about the different wines and vineyards. He was excellent at assessing our tastes and preferences and selected great choices for not only the wine tasting but also the setting of the tasting rooms and our food preferences for lunch. We loved having him as our guide for the day and my boyfriend said it was "money well spent," which is a huge compliment considering his particular tastes and standards! The town car was also clean and I was provided a plug to charge my cell phone when I noticed my battery was dying. Nothing but good things to say about the tour and Marty!

The van was comfortable, clean, and roomy, and we had a blast during our jumps between wineries playing DJ and singing along to the glory of the early 200s. Our group had a couple hiccups when the day got started that Zach went above and beyond handling--like our Airbnb door not closing (bizarre, I know!), and Zach was kind enough to help us fix it so we could get on our way. All around wonderful experience; I would not hesitate to book again if (hopefully, when!) I am back in the area. Thank you again, Zach! (Also posted on Google reviews by me).

We knew it was going to be a great trip when we got in and Zak simply asked where do you want to go? We said you are from here take us where you would go. He asked white or red? We said red.. We asked him to pick some cool music and he started with Bob Seger Roll Me Away and we were hooked. And so it began, he took us to smaller wineries with excellent products, good pricing, customer oriented and less crowded. Not a single tourist trap. Zak even put up with me pestering him about the bus, the motor, the restoration - I'm a bike and car nut. He even showed me his friend's beautiful european sports car at one winery.. nice! :) This classic VW Westfalia bus has complete charm, a few rattles, old school seat belts, a few bumps on the stone road and cool tunes; she showed us girls old school cool. This ride was exactly what we hoped for, we loved that we could visit, not sit there listening to some over the top driver bugging us with a bunch of chit chat stories, bragging tales of the area or taking over our day; he just let us have fun and relax. In some of the other reviews they wanted more chit chatty tour guide, not us, we want laid back and not trying to struggle talking to each other over a tour guide. We preferred that the wineries give us the tour we wanted and information at each stop. Zak was so polite, very responsive to answered to winery, sites and local questions we had. We enjoyed that he opened the door for us and took us into the wineries and introduced us to the folks there. The folks at the wineries treated us wonderfully and they seemed to be friends with Zak we felt they went out of the way to take care of us. Overall, I have told everyone I meet that this is the way to tour if you are into laid back, peaceful rides with great places to visit. All 4 of us ladies agree, this was the highlight of our trip; Zak and the the Winewagen exceeded ALL expectations. Thanks again! Kris Atwater Oak Harbor, OH

First off, let me say that it is an absolute must to go with a tour company. There's literally over 100 different wineries in the region so you definitely need someone to help bring you to the best ones. I mean... who wants to drive and follow waze when you can chill out in the back, laugh, and blast your music while someone else does the driving? I think it's a bonus that they allow you to play ur iPhone over the bus speakers so that you can jam out to your own stuff. We got Dave as our driver and he was patient, super duper friendly, and never made us feel "rushed". He was on our schedule as opposed to other tours that I been on where you're being herded like cattle. I think he kinda chuckled when my playlist when from some hardcore rap to the spice girls. What can I say? I'm well rounded. I highly recommend having a decent breakfast before setting out on a full day of wine tasting. It definitely helps get you going for the day. We went during peak travel season so it was pretty busy. But the weather was amazing and the views breathtaking. Worth every penny (and they are inexpensive!) We met this lovely couple on the tour who told us to try the winter off-season when it's less crowded so that we can have meet and chat with the winemakers themselves during our tasting. I've never done wine tours in the winter so we'll definitely be back next time and make a nice ski trip out of it as well.

Hit wineries, a distillery and a brewery which was nice. Driver (Darryl) was a very nice guy even if he forgot my name and started calling me 'Steve' halfway through. That was pretty funny for the guys even if it was at my expense. Bus had plenty of room too, and we stayed on schedule without it being overbearing or annoying. Price point was fair given this was a 1/2 day tour with food/alcohol included. Brewery and distillery options couldn't have been better. Wagner brewing makes one of the best examples of hefeweizens I've had anywhere. Really great tap room overlooking the lake as well. Got a cheese plate there which was packed like shit in to-go containers, which belied the really good array of cheese, meat and accoutrements it included. Finger Lakes distilling was shockingly good. Their repertoire of whiskeys, including aged options, different styles (ie: pot stilled, applejack) and experiment stuff (cannoli whiskey) was superb. Had whiskey infused cigars here too which were awesome. I bought a shit ton of stuff from their. Surprisingly, I wasn't as thrilled with the wineries. Zugibe was respectable but paled to others nearby like Thirsty Owl; what threw me off was that the reds were much better than the whites there. Food there was gyros, which was odd but oddly good at least. Belhurst was probably the worst single winery I've ever been to, with the worst wine I've tried. Wine had a soapy taste and was cloyingly sweet. Bartender was snotty, rattled off some canned crap she memorized that was largely irrelevant, and didn't really know anything about wine. Place was largely a freaking gift shop, so no clue why they thought this was a good addition. Would use these guys again as Darryl was a sweetheart, and maybe just direct them a bit more in terms of what we're looking for. I am 100% fine with the emphasis being on beer/liquor, however the groom-to-be was more of a wine person in this case. Very workable either way.

Wow. It has taken me 2 weeks to try to think of how to review this service. If there was a…read morenegative star rating, I would have chosen it. Here it goes: 1) The car is neither luxurious nor comfortable. The body is rusted. The interior is dirty. The console in front of the seat is broken and stuffed with a dirty pillow. The handles on all of the doors on the inside are broken. The doors can't be opened from the inside (which is super-creepy with a driver like Orlando). The car beeps for 3 minutes every 20 minutes or so, but Orlando assures you that there is no problem. I am not sure that the seatbelts in the back work (it's ok with Orlando because it's "legal"). The car shudders when it goes over 50 MPH. The 4th, 5th, and 6th people of your party have to climb over a seat into a raised seat with barely enough room for three (we are small people--all less than 160 lbs). 2) Orlando is offensive. Within 5 minutes of starting our trip, Orlando had succeeded in offending everyone in our party--Canadians, Drivers of Subarus, Democrats, Physicians. Orlando never stops talking, and it is not about the area and local attractions or what to look for. He lectured the car about how doctors are criminals who prescribe medications that people don't need--such as insulin for diabetes. "All you need to do is take large doses of cinnamon." You can cure cancer by,"mixing Flax oil in cottage cheese. Its a well known fact. It's on the google." 3) You will feel like Orlando's prisoner. We were a group that likes conversation. We usually have to keep two members of our party from chatting too much. Orlando talked non-stop the entire trip. We were taking turns sitting in the front seat next to him to share the burden. We ended our trip one hour (and one winery) early just to be able to get out of his car. Some of the topics that Orlando pontificated on: his past employment for the government--"I can't tell you what I did. They asked me to fake my death, but I wouldn't do it; so I had to quit." He also told us about the buried UFOs as big as a football field in the desert. He also commented on how there are, "so many democrats that you could bury them." I am not sure what that was in reference to. 4) Despite the number of times that Orlando will tell you about his 28 years of experience, he is not all that knowledgeable. I had been planning this trip to the Finger Lakes for many months as a birthday celebration for my wife. I had carefully selected wineries that I wanted to visit. Right after getting into the car, he argued with me about my choices and asked me if, "you know anything about this area?" and then told me that it would be impossible to include Ravines in our itinerary as the Winery is in Geneva. I told him that there was a tasting room on Keuka lake, and he said, "I don't know anything about that." I had to tell him that I was confident in my itinerary and essentially argue with him to accept it. I don't think that visiting three wineries and having lunch between 1030 AM and 6 PM is too much to ask. In the end we were dropped off at 5 PM. In summary if you are looking for a knowledgeable, friendly driver in a safe comfortable vehicle for a relaxing day touring the amazing Finger Lakes wineries, DO NOT BOOK WITH Orlando. However, if you are seeking a nightmare version of Carpool Karaoke, but instead of James Corden driving you around in a nice car with pleasant conversation, you want an ignorant, rude, offensive, conspiracy theorist driver with verbal diarrhea and a dirty unsafe and uncomfortable ride, then Orlando and Finger Lakes Transport and Tours is for you.

She said it usually takes one hour per winery so she suggested two others and we "finalized" the itinerary. By the time we got there, however, we'd found one other we wanted to visit. I didn't want to be "that customer," making last minute changes, but when Beth showed up and sized up my husband and me, she said she was about to suggest the very same change we were asking for. That's a perk I haven't seen in these reviews, but deserves to be highlighted: these drivers know the wineries well and know which ones fit which groups. Bachelor/ette parties? Experienced wine snobs? Nerds who aren't snobs but want to learn something? Beth knew exactly which wineries would be best for which client. We expected to learn something at the wineries, but didn't realize how much we'd learn from the driver! On top of that, Beth was just such a lovely person. Far beyond the basic minimum of transporting us safely, she also came in and fetched us from one of the wineries when we spent too long chatting with the staff there and were at risk of missing our next reservation. And she was a blast to talk to! We felt we'd made a friend by the end of the tour, and next time we're in the Finger Lakes, we'll ask for Beth by name, though I'd trust that Keuka Taxi has many such wonderful drivers. Thanks, Beth!
