My experience was excellent. Dr Ligon is very thorough, as is the hygienist. Two thumbs up!

We are SO pleased to have found Aspen Dental, here in Prescott Valley, AZ! After many sports…read moreinjuries, a couple of car accidents, & a few years of dental deteriorating medications, my teeth were no longer sustainable. A few decades of untold expense in repairing & maintaining my teeth, it became inevitable that I would need to have a more permanent solution. For me, this included full mouth extractions, dental implants that will eventually support my permanent dentures, & a set of "healing dentures" for the initial approximate six month healing period. Every single staff member I have encountered at this location have been amazing, starting with my very first conversation with Joie, who assisted me with the financial end of things. Joie was incredibly patient with my questions & concerns, & I was able to pay up front for the entire process~ which was around 10k, in total. This included the oral surgeon (Dr. Andreason- gifted beyond words!), anesthia for surgery, my temporary healing dentures (very nice), the titanium implants for my lower arch, my permanent "Comfilytes" dentures, all interim & follow up care appts- including regularly sceduled soft re-lign appts. to ensure my comfort during the healing process- design, fitting, & after care for the Comfilytes, which come w/a 7 yr. 'warranty', & basically any & all other associated care. The front office staff are professional, pleasant & confident~ always more than willing to rearrange scheduling, when possible, & always have a kind word, regardless of how busy they are, or how many less-than-kind people they may have dealt with that day. Please keep in mind the myriad of humans who walk through those doors, including pain levels, dental/financial expectations, & personalities in general~ there's a real variety of us out here, & I'm fairly certain the staff here see a true cross section of people daily! Besides Dr. Andreason, my oral surgeon, I have had Dr. Chan for my care & treatment throughout~ also fantastic, personable & a highly qualified dentist. Love her! Same goes for the dental assistants & technicians, from the gentleman who made my healing dentures~ same day, zero advanced notice, obviously gifted at what he does as well~ to the women who have done my re-ligns & surgery after care. They work very well together, & are consistently checking in w/patients on comfort level, questions/concerns, & any wait times- which are minimal, & well worth it. There is plenty more I could say, but this is getting lengthy, so I will close with a HUGE THANK YOU to Aspen Dental in Prescott Valley AZ~ you have forever changed my perception of "going to the dentist", completely eliminated all dental anxiety~ I now look forward to dental appts, which is amazing! My husband & I cannot recommend them enough, & we will continue to see them for all of our dental needs in the future. Sincerely~ Samantha Whitson, P.V./AZ

The general theme of my care there was a significant amount of discomfort and pain. General cleanings consisted of him inquiring of any pain or discomfort, doing a quick exam and exiting to let the hygienists take over. Disclaimer: I don't have perfect dental hygiene but I try to take care of my teeth and like most people forget to floss. In December '15 I had a crown placed by this office due to sensitivity when biting down which he diagnosed as a crack. The procedure was awful and I wasn't given enough time to get numb. The sensitivity never really did go away and I switched to a new dentist in March '16. In July 2016, I woke up to 10/10 pain in the tooth. I spent the week in a narcotic coma and taking lots of antibiotics and steroids. I work in healthcare on nights and I cannot miss work, as there is simply no one to cover for nights if you get sick. I had to call out 1 shift due to all this, thankfully a coworker covered for me or I would have had to go to work with all that pain. A second set of x-rays showed a large area of infection around and in the tooth. It needed a root canal and when the old crown came off, half the tooth had rotted away and the cavity was a hair away from the tooth pulp. It was pretty gruesome looking. Apparently this all could have been avoided by properly diagnosing the problem in the first place. There was never a crack. Dr. Darlington's front office staff was very nice and I will be getting a refund for the co-pay for the first crown. I hate to make disparaging comments against anyone, but I feel my experience was poor enough that I should caution anyone with sensitive or problem ridden teeth. Sorry Dr. D. I found the work and bedside manner to be slapdash. Not good when dental care is already a dread for most people.

Ibuprofen doesn't work. Tylenol doesn't work. I have to have ALOT of work done. I told them I'm in a ton of pain and they said they would prescribe Tylenol and amoxicillin left. There went to the pharmacy around the corner. Got my prescription took it right away two hours later my mouth is killing me. We all know we can't take that much. Tylenol in one day so then I call 15 minutes before they close. I ask if they can email something over like a discharge paperwork stating what I need done so I can go to the ER and maybe they can help me there. They send me over the financials of what I need done. ER didn't know what that meant so I call back tell them I needed a discharge chart or something written on what I need done so they can see how much work needs to be done and how much pain I'm in so maybe they can prescribe me something stronger after arguing with condescending Ethan! They're very standoffish there. I spoke with the manager Priscilla 10 minutes ago same thing very standoffish they were never in the wrong. I told them why did the front desk lie and tell me they were going to send me a email with what I needed done so I could go back to the ER she just said "idk" "I wasn't here Friday" she was rude and condescending as well. I'm tired of going to doctors dentist. Anything that has to do with the medical field because everyone's rude nowadays you guys are supposed to help us not be rude not argue with us over the phone on who's right and who's wrong that's how it's supposed to go, but I have an appointment at a different dentist at 2 PM today which I'm gladly going over there. I will never refer anybody to this place ever especially with how I was treated over the phone Friday and how I just spoke to the manager 10 minutes ago
