Empty words. Then, I tried contacting an administrator who has completely ignored my emails. I find this very strange that they don't respond to people. As a community member, I have to wonder, if I don't get a response, do the students?

Starting at Orientation day at the beginning of 2018/2019 school year, everyone was on point, well organized and sound like they got their stuff together. 2nd school break coming up and i couldn't be happier to have these people be in charge of my Child's education! Starting with the principal, Mr. Cranston & all the way down to the janitor (who I've also met). They're all very pleasant to be around, they KNOW what they're doing and he key... they LOVE what they do! They're not there just to collect a paycheck. School business is well organized, I love he fact that there's only 1 way in & 1 way out into the school during business hours, and that's THROUGH their main office. My son's teacher is the sweetest person! My son wakes up in the morning WANTING to go to school and learn. So far, zero complaints and I have yet to encounter any type of negativity.

They were already really helpful on the phone and have a great website, but in person even better. We filled out all the forms and he got to start the next day! I was told some of the schools were too full and they don't always get the closest school but they managed to place my son in a good school about 5 minutes from home. All is good here, your kids will be in good hands, they genuinly care, which is hard to find these days.

I was bullied by teachers and…read morestudents, my own friends were stuck up and loved more than me cause they were better at learning or had gave the school funds. i was at my all time low, i completely gave up on life, a 13 year old giving up cause of this school. they treat mental illnesses like a bad thing that is weird or unwelcomed. the bullying never was fixed due to the lack of discipline, they punished the bullied kids instead of the bully, I hate this school and it almost made me end it, but I'm lucky I got out of it and graduated from a better highschool.

My daughter went here since it was an available and local standardized testing location. We went…read morethe day before the test (Friday) to familiarize ourselves with the grounds and ensure she knew where to go on testing day. The staff were so cute and friendly. Some of them were dressed up for the holidays in movie character costumes. The front office was decorated and the atmosphere was so cheery. There were other students and parents waiting in the small space near the front office desk. On the day of the test (Saturday)- The school has a large parking lot but it is shared with Victor Valley College (VVC). We weren't sure if we needed parking passes so I purchased a $3 pass for the day at one of the VVC ticket machines. The school appears to offer transportation to students as we saw several buses on the Friday we went. We also saw what appeared to be armed security guards wearing black. It's understandable with the recent school shootings in America. Overall, my daughter said her test taking experience was very good. She was able to find an outlet in the classroom she went to and plug in her laptop. Were very blessed and grateful to have had this school as a location for the test. Thanks Excelsior!!!

Not all students function well at large and overcrowded school sites, Willow Park High School…read moreallowed those students, who for whatever reason were failing to succeed at the much larger Granite & Apple Valley High Schools a chance to excel academically. Sad day for the community and as such a beautiful school site, closing its doors is such a waste of tax payer funding. One can only wonder during this rash of school combining/closings ...... by Apple Valley Unified Schools, if this last school site closing is another example of more of tax dollars - going to Charter Schools instead of strengthing our core educational values to better enhance the learning of our current students?
