The person that caught him, approached him and ask him what he was throwing away he told him he was asked if it was his he clearly said no he told him where he found it. And the gentleman that approached him, started being sarcastic with him. Telling him that he's going to give them a breathalyzer test. My son has nothing to hide. He does smoke marijuana. He told him he's willing to take a test of any kind since he's a school campus officer he's offering to test my son, my son was willing they never tested him Because my son was doing the right thing by finding Ness and disposing of it but there's other ways to look at it to yeah he should've turned it into somebody but he was just worried about getting to class because he don't wanna be late to class because he a lot of the football players that play for Granite Hills, High, School Coaches told them no more being late to class. No more acting a goofball in classes make sure all your work and homework is done or there's gonna be consequences if they don't follow by those rules. He's just doing with the coaches told their football team following the rules. So, by my son, doing the right thing, finding something disposing of it so nobody else would find it and not thinking and using it, not knowing if there's anything bad inside of it, that could harm another student because he was thinking about the safety of other students that go to the same high school he does, he got suspended because he had that stupid pen that he found in the bathroom and threw it into the trashcan knowing the school has cameras all over that campus. I know I see them every day after work when he has football practice if they're still practicing, I go straight from work straight to his school and sit there and watch the football practice , I walked on the campus to use the restrooms in the far back of the school right there by the bungalows. I see all the cameras I've been on the campus with my son going through two things that the school has for his football team I see all the cameras all over the campus , they were saying when he came out of the bathroom, it was smoky in the bathroom when he walked into the bathroom it was already smoky how come they don't go back and seen who walked into that bathroom before him on their cameras and who walked out of that bathroom when it was smoky Before he walked in there instead of jumping to conclusions and falsely accusing my son, knowing that officer even stated that he was going to give them a test, but didn't fall through with it knowing my son agreed so he got suspended for it for the day and has two days of intervention Because of being falsely accused and having to miss the football 797 game that he was supposed to go to today down at Yucaipa Valley high school school district already been notified and I'm filing a complaint about the incident so be prepared and it clearly states about him trying to throw it into the trashcan and probaron observed him doing so

Empty words. Then, I tried contacting an administrator who has completely ignored my emails. I find this very strange that they don't respond to people. They were already really helpful on the phone and have a great website, but in person even better. We filled out all the forms and he got to start the next day! I was told some of the schools were too full and they don't always get the closest school but they managed to place my son in a good school about 5 minutes from home. All is good here, your kids will be in good hands, they genuinly care, which is hard to find these days.

My daughter went here since it was an available and local standardized testing location. We went…read morethe day before the test (Friday) to familiarize ourselves with the grounds and ensure she knew where to go on testing day. The staff were so cute and friendly. Some of them were dressed up for the holidays in movie character costumes. The front office was decorated and the atmosphere was so cheery. There were other students and parents waiting in the small space near the front office desk. On the day of the test (Saturday)- The school has a large parking lot but it is shared with Victor Valley College (VVC). We weren't sure if we needed parking passes so I purchased a $3 pass for the day at one of the VVC ticket machines. The school appears to offer transportation to students as we saw several buses on the Friday we went. We also saw what appeared to be armed security guards wearing black. It's understandable with the recent school shootings in America. Overall, my daughter said her test taking experience was very good. She was able to find an outlet in the classroom she went to and plug in her laptop. Were very blessed and grateful to have had this school as a location for the test. Thanks Excelsior!!!

Sad day for the community and as such a beautiful school site, closing its doors is such a waste of tax payer funding. One can only wonder during this rash of school combining/closings ...... by Apple Valley Unified Schools, if this last school site closing is another example of more of tax dollars - going to Charter Schools instead of strengthing our core educational values to better enhance the learning of our current students?
