Seeing my child grow academically and spiritually for the last four years has been very rewarding, to say the least. As a Teacher myself, I can confidently leave my child with a peace of mind. Knowing my child is taken care of and is receiving the personalized education needed to be successful is very valuable to us. Another reason why I recommend this place is because of the student to teacher ratio. This is part of the reason why our children are successful. Lastly, I want to commend the teachers and specially the Principal/Teacher here at Grace. She goes above and beyond for our students and the ministry alone at Grace Christian School; her mission and vision are truly admirable. And her leadership is remarkable. She takes her service to this community to another level. A great example of what a great servant of God looks like, trying to make a difference in this world. She is adamant to offer the best education possible to our children and leads her teachers to high standards. If you are looking for a passionate leader, that strives her best to take care of your children with love, respect, fairness and compassion, in a safe environment, this is the right place.

They had a few bumps on the road when they first opened but they are open to recommendations and suggestions which is what I really appreciate. I think it says a lot when they can take suggestions and implement rather quickly. Also Miss Lizzy whom was at Little Seed is now here at KSA. She is really attentive and very thorough with school. If on a field trip-Miss Lizzy is active and always with the children watching their every step. If at school, Miss Lizzy is thorough with her teachings and makes sure you know the areas where a student might need additional help. She's really quite great at what she does. Other honorable mentions are Miss Angel and Mr Williams both great teachers. Miss Melody whom was helping for the summer has been Teddys teacher for over a year and she's a wonderful leader as well.

I feel relieved that my children can attend such a school. If my children have to take classes outside and learn so many things, I have no way of doing it. This school has a very good educational team. They love my children very much. They know their needs and give them enough help. In addition, I never have to worry about my children's lunch. They eat a very rich lunch every day. I cannot even begin to explain the anxiety I had trying to figure out where I can put my son for preschool. Having just moved to the Inland Empire area, I wasn't very familiar with the school system but living in an area where the schools are 9/10 top in the state, it still "public" schooling. My child would still be one of many at that school, will he even be noticed? Will a teacher ever contact me if they suspect something? With everything I have been hearing and seeing about public schools these days, those were all valid feelings I had. I was searching for months as to which school my son would start in. Then I heard about New Dimensions from a neighbor and decided to attend their open house. OMG! I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE FROM THE STAFF TO THE PARENTS WHOSE KIDS ALREADY GO THERE. Their curriculum is really advanced and my child being a student there for 2 years now has grown drastically compared to others his age. I really do think it has a lot to do with this school. The fact that everyone there knows my 5 year old by name is amazing to me. The comfort of the family environment is everything, and the personalized attention he gets...I literally get texts from his teachers of cute pictures of activities he did that day or how he excelled in one particular task. Being an involved parent is extremely important to me and this school makes that sooooooooooo much easier and more pleasant. Any concern I would voice about my son (i.e. he still sucks his thumb) they would literally work on the next day. He came home smiling saying GUESS WHAT MOM I NO LONGER NEED TO SUCK MY THUMB BECAUSE I'M SAFE AT SCHOOL. You can't imagine the joy this brought me. I could go on and on but if you ever have any doubt or want to know anything about this amazing school...please feel free to ask me...yes I love the school that much!

He is more willing to go out of his comfort zone to try new things and activities. When I pick him up from school, he will always tell me that it was fun! The teachers and staff here are all patient and caring. I really love that Ms. Tina, my son's teacher, goes above and beyond the curriculum to give her students an academic and musical head start with plenty of hands on activities. Sometimes my son will sing new songs at home and try to teach me the songs he learned from school. Another day I was reading a book to him and he suddenly pointed out that he also learned about the Eiffel Tower in class! The only problem now is that he is asking to see the real Eiffel Tower in person hahaha~ It's amazing that the teachers are able to expose students to all walks of life at such a young age using science, arts and crafts, and storytime. I highly recommend Little Seed for those who care about their children being well rounded, academically and emotionally. It's a bilingual program with English in the mornings and Mandarin in the afternoons. The school provides nutritious lunch meals all freshly cooked in house and uses brightwheel app so parents can see the daily activities their children do. They teach their students not just the ABCs, but also good habits, manners, and in general awareness of the world around them. Overall, I am grateful for the teachers who have given my son the time to break down his walls and finally feel calm and content in a warm and kind environment.

The place is very clean, meals are homemade, playground is well staffed and safe (is was a concern of mine as it's close to street) I couldn't be happier with the decision to enroll my son here!!!

Smart Start Academy does NOT care about the children. Initially, I really enjoyed their atmosphere…read moreand cleanliness, but quickly realized that is really all that they had to offer... a clean looking environment. There is absolutely no communication between staff/management/owner to parent and NO CONCERN for the child's emotional needs. Furthermore, the disciplinary practices including, but not limited to, the "sad chair" or "relaxing chair" (time out), is not mentioned in the parent handbook, much like the teachers using their cell phones as televisions to play cartoons like cocomelon, is not. Having open lines of communication, with a team working alongside me to care for my child, is something I take very seriously. They lacked severely in this area. It was nonexistent. On a specific occasion, I was checking in with my daughter via the cameras the school gives parents to access... which most of the time aren't working properly. I didn't see my child anywhere, and got concerned, so I messaged the teacher... no response. So, I called the front desk. They then proceeded to tell me that my daughter had a potty accident and a big emotion ensued from this (lots of tears and vocal frustration), that they claim was "inconsolable." They proceeded to put my daughter in a chair, by herself, surrounded by her peers, isolated and shamed... while she "calmed down" alone. This didn't work, understandably, because in such a vulnerable and embarrassing moment for my 3 year old, she needed connection and empathy more than anything. Instead she got sent to another classroom where she knew no one. To sit, alone, in another chair. The fact that a 3 year old is expected to have to have the tools to deal with such new and complex emotions speaks volumes to this establishments lack of real and valuable child education training and knowledge. The lack of compassion, connection and empathy for my child was appalling, to say the least. I picked my child up early that day and politely emailed the school several times, for a week, requesting an IDT meeting to discuss my concerns. I never heard from them. Again, no communication, care or respect. I had to walk in and speak with the owner, Chad. Although he didn't give me the courtesy to speak privately, I was able to voice my concerns and at least get more information on the occurrences of that day. However, after leaving that meeting, I received an email from his wife, Melissa, whom was not present for my conversation with Chad... That they were proceeding with removing my child from the school. That they can't meet my "requests" they assumed I had, considering no one met with me to ever hear them. I was given no courtesy in being involved in this decision... no meeting, no discussion or involvement. It really hurt me for my daughter. She didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to her friends. How abrupt and sad. With this new understanding I now know that a school that is not willing to work with parents in raising children is not one that I want my child in. It appears that Smart Start has a hard structure and care not about each individual child's needs-which says a lot when child care professionals KNOW (should know) how unique each child's temperament is and that each child may require something slightly different from the standard practice. Also including occurrences that don't regularly happen that may require the same flexibility in care. Clearly their priority isn't the "whole child" as they have expressed they are not staffed enough to foster arguably the most important developmental domain- social emotional, needs of each child individually and specifically. For these reasons, I do NOT support SmartStart Academy. I hope parents think twice before enrolling their child here.
