STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE…read more I had a very disappointing experience with D'BEST! Floorz & More after hiring them for a $22,500 kitchen and bathroom remodeling project. Unfortunately, I experienced multiple workmanship issues, particularly in the bathroom, and despite giving the company opportunities to address my concerns, several problems remained unresolved. I eventually had another company evaluate the work and was advised that additional repairs would be necessary. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company. I strongly encourage anyone considering a major remodeling project to carefully review the contract, document everything, and obtain independent evaluations if concerns arise.

I am sorry but if a estimator/designer in FL does not know what terrazzo is, I have issues since this is the most common flooring that was used in the older homes.

Mo refused to call or text my wife back. Mohommad then attempted to mark up the cabinets 70% and tricked us into letting him dump the cabinets on us without inspection. The cabinets were in fact in flat boxes and RTA (Ready to Assemble) and not ready to be installed or disclosed as cheap RTA cabinets until his driver tricked us by buying the cabinets at like $5000 or $6000 and then dropping them off for "inspection" and saying they were custom cabinets worth over $16,000 without improving assembling them in any way, insisting they were custom built when in fact they were simply colored cabinets boards in a box. He refused to refund any money and left 5-10 exposed electrical wires hanging out of our wall to try to put pressure on finishing the project for the price he wanted for a customer cabinet kitchen. Marking up cabinets by close to 200% is a scam when trying to pass off RTA cabinets as custom built when simply let in the Indonesian Manfacturers unbranded cheap boxes. We are entering our lawsuit in the next week. If you look at Orange County Lawuits in the past few year you will see where Mo/Galaxy did the same thing to another customer. Well this one isn't Small claims court and we will insist on legal fees.

Then I heard an American Kitchens radio ad, and figured I'd call them for a bid too. Chip came out and met with us and took some measurements. We were then connected with Stacy the designer and headed to the showroom where we selected the tile, fixtures, sinks and cabinets. It was a smooth process - everyone was friendly and professional. We got our quote and decided to move forward. Scott was our project manager and his communication was great. We knew what was next in the process and when it would happen. The work they did was solid and we love that its American-made products, all quality and no worries. We also got to meet the owners and they were genuinely good people. AK definitely wasn't the cheapest bid we got, but we'd rather pay upfront for quality than pay even more money to have something cheap redone in a few years. The bathroom looks great and they're definitely a company I recommend if you want quality work done right.

I knew exactly what I wanted but also know how picky I am based on my 16 year career in construction and new found passion for interior design. After researching and speaking to several local companies and even obtaining an estimate from Home Depot, my co-worker referred me to Remodel Surplus. They completed his kitchen renovation the year prior. A pleasant experience doesn't even begin to describe my encounter. I initially designed my kitchen but was determined to pay cash so I didn't place my actual order until several months later. At no time did I ever feel harassed or pressured to place the order before I was ready. Jose and his team were patient, kind, and met every commitment made in order for me to have the kitchen of my dream. The hardest part was just waiting on the cabinets to come in. If I ever remodel another home, I know exactly who to call because anyone who can still have a smile after dealing with a new mom/ contractor with a newborn is a keeper in my eyes.

Their pricing is very fair and I am recommending to all friends and family. Thank you for helping bring my kitchen to life! The process was this quick and easy: I called for inquiry on an estimate on quartz for my kitchen, the next day Ed drove to my house in Jacksonville (they are based out of Orlando) with samples of their quartz and granite. Someone was at the shop sending live footage of the large slabs based off of the samples I liked. He mapped out everything in my kitchen extremely quickly but with excellent precision. They were available to come and install a week later. We only had to postpone due to a hold up on our new cooktop. Any questions I had along the way was a quick text or call away and always answered almost immediately.

The installation happened just 5-day later. Great right, not so fast..... That is where the honeymoon ended! The installer(s) used ALEX acrylic latex caulk to install the vanity top, sink and backsplash. They said they couldn't install the shower knee wall cap, threshold, and niche sill, because they didn't have thin set mortar. The quote clearly stated installation was included for all the items on the quote, not just the vanity top. Note: acrylic latex caulk is not waterproof, shrinks, and promotes mold and mildew in wet environments, like a bathroom and sink/vanity. Clearly, this is not industry standard, 100% silicone or siliconized acrylic latex (thinset mortar for the shower) is, but the quote didn't specify what materials were to be used. If you use EdStone make sure you specify what materials you expect on the quote. Needlessly, I had to pay someone else afterwards to install the shower pieces as Ed was less than helpful when I asked about them. Buyer beware....... While the initial process and the quartz pieces themselves were 5-stars, the substandard materials used to install (well only partly) them was a 2-star affair. Be sure what you expect is in the contract before signing it.

On June 13, 2025, we signed a contract with them. Work began July 21, 2025. They finished on May 26, 2026. The contract stated that it would take 4 months, possibly 5, to complete the project. It took them 10 months to complete. There was a total of at least 15 weeks (a week being 5 consecutive working days, i.e., Wednesday through Tuesday) where NOTHING was done at the house. Prior to beginning demolition, they required a total of 60% of the contract to be paid. At the end of demolition and rough-in, which took 4 weeks, they required a total of 84% to be paid. Then they wanted payment for the project to be substantially complete and usable prior to the installation of the glass shower walls or the master being usable. That would have been 95% of the contract. The supervising contractor stated that he would not have the shower glass installed until they were paid. I sent his boss a copy of the Florida legal requirements for being substantially complete and usable, and I also hired an attorney. When it came time for the final walkthrough and final payment, they didn't want to provide us with the Affidavit of Contractor's Final Payment, which shows if there are any subcontractors who have released their lien and those that haven't been paid and how much they are owed prior to receiving the final payment, even though we had the right to have it according to our attorney. Then, when we received the document, it was a "waiver and release of lien upon progress payment."
