Most people would assume that this may be a place for ice cream and you'd be partially right. This place is a mix of things that you would not expect. First and foremost, it is a well used coffee shop. Even though there is a well known national competitor right up the road. There is a steady stream of vehicles in and out throughout the day. Inside, in the coffee portion of the space, it gives definite coffee shop vibes. Couches, armchairs, tables, books, magazines, etc. That coziness could be a big draw on a cold day. I had myself a chai tea latte from here and it was delicious. They are quick with their ordering process and making of the drink. What else is here you ask? Well, let me tell you. There is an ice cream parlor tucked away on the opposite side of the coffee shop. You can enter this through the coffee shop or from the outside entrance on the side of the building. This area, then leads you to another location on the lot. Putt-Putt. Behind the building, there is a miniature golf course built into the hillside. One that is West Virginian history themed. Turns out: wonderfully right. This diner is pure road-trip gold, the kind of place where time slows down just enough for the coffee to taste better. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, greeting locals with hugs, warm questions about their families, and the kind of genuine familiarity that makes you wonder if you've accidentally walked into a reunion. Great location and the service from Mandy was very helpful. We had excellent beer choices that paired well with taste buds and the pizza. Beer choices were the Amber Gone Nuts. Enniskillen, which is a stout and Sour Kid which is a prickly pear and guava sour. Highly recommend here it is only a 5 mile drive from the interstate and I can hike it out of our vehicle anytime. Love the decor with the addition of local art which is for sale, which adds to the love of WV craftsmanship and spirit.

My wife travelled all over looking for a couple of food trucks that would be willing to travel to Marlinton and feed about 130 people for the rehearsal dinner. She located Tim Rock ( the proprietor), in Beckley and sampled his food. It was excellent. He features cheesesteaks, Italian sausage and burgers. He also makes wraps for calorie conscious. He had just recently been voted as the best food truck in WV. Tim maintained constant contact with my wife prior to the wedding and he was genuinely excited about taking on this challenge. He showed up at the designated location at the designated time, which was truly a blessing because the other food truck from Harrisonburg Va failed to arrive. We were really upset because obviously we didn't want to run out of food. Tim was very reassuring and told us that he had bought plenty of food for everyone. Now to the food. We didn't think of it at the time, but many of the guests were from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, the cheesesteak Mecca. Obviously most of them had tasted the best. Well I'm here to tell you that everyone said that those cheesesteaks were as good or better than any they had eaten. People raved about the sausage and the cheese burgers too. All of the food was delicious, fresh, and hot. Tim stayed over beyond the agreed upon time to make certain that everyone was served.
