    "Chicken curry"
    Ronisha C.

I've gone to this place a few times and each time the food has gotten worse. I usually buy fried rice, but this time I decided to be different and purchase the chicken curry, big mistake! The curry sauce was runny, the chicken was overcooked and dry, the veggies were peas and carrots from a can, and instead of potatoes, they added French fries. The main issue I had is that they refused to fix the problem. I do not live in the area, I just stopped by before I went home so I didn't notice what the food looked like until I got home. I called to ask about a refund or exchange if I brought the food back with my receipt and the lady that answered the phone responded, "that's not French fries. We have to fry the potato before we put it in there. We don't give refunds because we can't resale it. There's nothing we can do". As if I don't know the difference between French fries and fried potatoes. I've have curry from a few Chinese restaurants and I've cooked it a few times myself. This was not cooked properly. I will not be purchasing from the restaurant again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

All the food was fresh and hot, but my favorite was the sweet and sour chicken . The egg rolls were also very good.

Buffet or drive through. They have a salad bar, fast service in the drive through. Staff is always pleasant. Ambiance is cafeteria style.

For the first two we got something like lunch special/combo and the Sesame chicken we got more of the full-size entree. All portions were good. They give you a huge portion of rice, which in our case is too much rice, but at least since there's a pretty significant fee to upgrade to fried rice as we did on all dishes, at least it's big amount to I guess you'd say justify the amount of the upcharge. I truly can't imagine anyone wanting the huge amounts of rice they put in each meal -- not that it was bad, but perhaps others like rice more than we do. As someone who absolutely hates zucchini, I was disappointed they put zucchini in the Cashew chicken but was relieved that it wasn't much. Some places use zucchini as so much of a filler in their foods that it's wasteful for me as I won't eat it. Since this was our first time here, I wasn't familiar with the ingredients and honestly never thought about it being an ingredient in their dish. The Sweet & Sour shrimp was the typical pre-breaded out of a box shrimp it seemed. What was a little odd is that the shrimp were all different sizes and shapes. Some were long and straight like the ones you usually get on the appetizer platters at places like this and others were those rounder pieces that are more typical in an entree. Again, being unfamiliar with this restaurant, I was disappointed that they don't add any onions, peppers or even pineapple in with the fried pieces. I only had a few pieces of the Sesame chicken. It was okay to me, but the person who actually ordered it really did not care for it. The sauce was very overpowering and too sweet. By the time she got to finishing the leftovers she literally rinsed the pieces of chicken to remove the sauce that she could. The sides of Crab Rangoon and Egg Roll were fine, nothing unexpected, but nothing particularly special. The ordering and pickup process was fine. We don't live in Belton so a return visit is already unlikely. The fact that the food was tolerable but nothing special is also an indicator that we won't return.

I had reservation reservations for us at 6 PM. We were seated promptly and had a server who was very kind and pretty good considering it was his second night working here. We each ordered a cocktail, which were very good. And we each had prime rib. The meat itself was pretty stringy and hard to cut with the dull knives that we were given. Mine was undercooked. I ordered mashed potatoes with brown Gravy, which were just okay. My wife enjoyed her baked potato a great deal though. Our server brought out our food when we weren't even halfway through our salads. He apologized because he knew he was early, but by the time we got to our entrées, they were cold. A great, or even good steakhouse would never do that. The food quality was average or below, and the service was about the same. If you're looking for mediocrity, you can find it here. By the entrance, they have a list of 10 great steakhouses in the US. I have been to a few of them, including Peter Luger's, and Jess and Jim's really has no place on this list. I literally laughed out loud as we passed by the sign on the way out.

Guess what if you have a place which serves Mexican seafood go try something like this. This place specializes in seafood in Mexican cuisine perhaps this is the second location there's another location in the downtown, which we have been to, but let's get to how we like this place Food I would say was not amazing but good we didn't like the paella the rice was mushy. It was smelling different because of the clams and oysters that was definitely not fresh. We didn't smell a lot of saffron added to the food the crab meat queso was amazing and we also ordered another Spanish or Mexican shrimp with spicy sauce. That was amazing. The margarita was great.. There was literally one person available in the restaurant who was taking care of the bells bar food any requests coming? My waiter was Kara she let me know upfront she had not been working here that long, but she also was pretty knowledgeable and when she didn't know something, she found the answer for me. She was great at helping me find options and she was really nice. Drink: I love that their drinks weren't pre-made I got a ready fire aim with rum (bellows) instead of mezcal and it was really good. Perfect hint of spice and sweetness. The water was really nasty though. Food: Everything is made to order and customizable which is rare. -(6) Grilled chili butter oysters my favorite very great flavor -(6) Grilled Stuffed Oysters this was very different but still good I was nervous about the octopus idk of if I necessarily taste it was a fishy flavor but still great to try. I would probably try it without octopus next time. My waiter suggested using the premade lime mixture to cut the fishy taste and it worked perfectly and I also tried the habanero lime mixture. That's on the table and that tastes good as well it cut the fishiness. -Ceviche tostadas no carrots and light cilantro no (btw this is the Pacifico one): probably the best ceviche I've had and I added the habanero purée and it was perfection.

However, I do have some serious concerns about the location at 600 E. 99th St. After giving that location three separate chances, I can honestly say the food quality has been consistently disappointing. At this point, management either needs to improve staffing, especially in the kitchen, or seriously reevaluate operations there. In regards to the sweet potatoes and carrot cake at all locations, I've noticed issues that raise concerns about food quality and consistency. If a sweet potato is rotten, it should never be served, and the same goes for any questionable ingredients used in desserts like the carrot cake that I assume is contracted out. Basic food safety should always be followed across every location, with no exceptions, especially in our community. I also want to mention my thoughts on the greens. Not everyone eats pork, so it would be great to either prepare the greens without meat or offer an alternative option, such as smoked turkey. This is extremely important for those of us who don't eat pork. I understand that all restaruant have their way of doing things, but this is the observation that's preventing me from purchasing. If these issues were corrected, I would gladly give Charlie D's five stars because I truly enjoy the restaurant overall. Hopefully, management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements. With those improvements, I will continue to spread the word and patronize. My review is all out of love for my community, not trying to tear you down, but uplift you with honesty. LyriCáh
