A cute little thrift store in Lake Forest. Parking is easy. It's just a couple doors down from…read moreSecond Impressions, which is their sister store. I've been there quite a few times but hadn't had a chance to come to Inspired. When I went they had a sale where all clothing was $5. The sales clerk was very helpful with pointing out the price of other items in the store as well - scarves, jewelry, bags - as everything was on special discount. I love the way they curate their selections. I found a couple of shirts in the men's section that I liked. Everything here is new or like new. And they often carry designer clothing. I had a great experience shopping in this store and I'll be back in the future!

That's where I was headed when I found this place last week. We went in, and its very nicely decorated and has a lot of fun stuff. Tried on a few things, and ended up buying three items, and spent about $50. The employees were very nice and helpful. The problem I have, is after going to the thrift store, and not finding anything, and walking around a couple times just looking at items... we left. We walked back to the car, and what I can figure is the owner as all questions go to him, break schedules are told by him, etc. he walked out behind us and followed us giving us the side eye in my car. I have spent money at both locations, but my friend and I looked at each other after this like wait, really? It was extremely odd and uncomfortable and honestly offensive. I will take my actual business elsewhere as it seems we gave you reason to feel we were suspicious. Which, I am really trying to figure out why.

Absolutely ridiculous way to run a thrift store. Mercy Warehouse apparently lets people called…read more"wholesalers" come in BEFORE THE STORE EVEN OPENS and buy whatever they want, while everyone else is expected to show up during normal business hours. How is that remotely fair to the average customer? You're essentially giving a select group of people a private shopping period while the rest of the public gets second, third, and fourth pick. That completely defeats the purpose of having a public thrift store. It's especially frustrating because these "wholesalers" can scoop up anything before regular customers even get through the doors. If this is how Mercy Warehouse chooses to operate, they should stop pretending everyone has an equal opportunity to shop there. I've been to plenty of thrift stores, and this is one of the most blatantly unfair setups I've encountered. Making money is one thing, but giving preferential treatment to a handful of buyers at the expense of everyone else is bullshit. Do better Mercy Warehouse. Something needs to be done.
