Places like this are what make small-town dining so enjoyable. The ice cream here is fantastic. They have so many great options, whether you're in the mood for a classic cone, a loaded sundae, or a thick and creamy milkshake. Everything always tastes fresh and delicious, and it's the perfect stop on a warm day. It's one of those places where everyone in the family can find something they're excited to order. What many people don't realize is that the food is just as good as the desserts. If you're stopping in for more than ice cream, you definitely won't leave hungry. One item we always look forward to ordering is the chili cheese fries. They are absolutely the bomb.com! Loaded with flavor and perfectly satisfying, they're easily one of the best items on the menu. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a great place to stop with family or friends. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy good food, and treat yourself to some amazing ice cream afterward. Overall, Auburn Dairy Freeze is a local favorite for a reason. Great ice cream, delicious sundaes, thick milkshakes, and tasty food make it a place our family loves visiting again and again. If you're in the area and looking for a classic ice cream stand with great food too, this place is definitely worth stopping by.

This isn't something I would normally complain about, but each of us ordered 1 scoop and what we got was more like 2.5. Unfortunately, it was more than I wanted and ended up not able to eat it all. I am not sure if this is their norm, but if I went back, I would have ordered a kid's scoop.

For $50 you get a pot of tea, 1 whole and 1/2 of a sandwich, 2 scones and 6 mini desserts. It's appalling the tiny amount of food that is served. The owner came out and tried to make it sound like it's to our benefit the way the menu is but instead displayed an overbearing personality when she wouldn't even let anyone in our group speak without interrupting us. What a huge disappointment. I had a cup of soup for $5 which was the only exception allowed. It was decent but greasy. Our server did a great job. The lady at the cash register was misinformed by telling us that we could order anything we wanted but then changed her mind. She was at our table at least 6 times seeing if everyone had shown up yet even though everyone who comes through the door walks right by her! What a confusing experience to say the least!

They have classic mom and pop griddled burgers, decent quality meat, made to order, always hot. You can choose from a plethora of fried goods and an in-house prepared breaded tenderloin that represents a Hoosier tenderloin well. In recent years, the business has been passed down to a younger generation. That came with some modern upgrades in marketing and packaging, including online ordering. The economy as well as new owners, has also made portion sizes smaller (a $3 French fry is now smaller than a small at a typical fast food joint) and the prices have also increased. Ten dollar burgers are standard most places now, but over $15 for a burger meal at a drive thru stand may be hard for some patrons to swallow. The custard and soft serve is delicious, albeit, still not a cheap treat. The staff is always efficient and friendly. The inside appears clean and orderly. The outdoor seating area and the appearance is charming, while still maintaining the old school vibes and nostalgia we all love about the Brown House. It's not an inexpensive meal, but the quality is good, service is consistent, and they still include the peppermint in your sack to round off your meal.

I was glad to get my visit in, as they are seasonal and will be closing for the winter next week. This time, there were about 12 cards in front of me, and it took about 30 min to get through the line. I know from looking at past pics that their prices have gone up (hasn't everything?!) , but nothing too extreme -- maybe $.50-ish on items, still really great deals. I ordered a cheeseburger/ fries/ drink combo, a small pup cup for my dog, and a chocolate cherry milkshake. I also ordered extra packets of ketchup and mayo. So my one :( is that I got my bag, an no ketchup or mayo. Then I asked for some and was given ketchup pakets but told mayo was an extra charge. How much? $.60. Meh, no thanks. Not that that the $ would have mattered, but I think at a burget joint, you shouldn't charge for that as a customer service issue. Especially when things like lettuce, tomato, onion etc are already included if you want them! Anyway, the buger was good, the fries were a little salty (they seem frozen, not homemade, but I ate them all), the shake was tasty, and my dog loved his pup cup! #yum #ReviewsByRL

The difference between the old location and the new one is very noticeable. The new management seems to be doing a great job so far. The store itself is clean, bright, and much more welcoming than before. It's clear that effort is being put into keeping the place maintained and presentable, which definitely makes a better experience for customers. The staff has also been friendly during our visits. Employees have been polite and helpful, which always makes a difference when stopping somewhere for a quick meal or treat. The food has been good as well. Everything we've ordered has tasted fresh and prepared well. The only small issue we've run into occasionally is that sometimes our order isn't exactly right. When that happens, it can be a little frustrating, but overall the food quality itself has been good. All in all, the new Dairy Queen is a big improvement compared to the old one. With a clean new building, friendly staff, and good food, it's definitely moving in the right direction. If the order accuracy improves, it will easily be an even better experience.
