I really like how they let you build your seafood experience exactly how you want it, from the type of seafood to the seasoning and spice level. The only thing was I think the spice level could've been kicked up a notch. Our table ordered a mix of oysters, garlic noodles, Cajun fries, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, which came with corn, potatoes, sausage and hard boiled egg! The seafood was fresh and the sauce coated everything nicely without being overwhelmingly salty, and the corn and potatoes soaked up all the seasoning. All for a very reasonable price if you get the combo, which comes in 3 different tiers! The oysters were a standout--fresh, briny & I loved all the different sauces like horse radish and cocktail on the side. I do wish the fries were a bit more crispy and could've gone heavier with the Cajun seasoning, but that's personal preference. The atmosphere is casual, lively, and perfect for big groups. If you're looking for a customizable seafood boil with fresh oysters, fun drinks, and plenty of options to build your ideal meal, Rockin Crawfish is definitely worth a visit

I was very disappointed with my recent takeout order. Before placing my order, I specifically asked…read morewhether the crawfish were live, and the waitress told me they were available. Based on that conversation, I expected fresh live crawfish, which was available Tuesday when I ordered from DoorDash the previous time. After I got home and opened my order this time. it was clear that the crawfish had been frozen. If the restaurant serves frozen crawfish, that's fine, but customers should be given accurate information when they ask directly about the product right? I feel misled because I relied on what I was told when making my purchase. Transparency is important, and I hope the restaurant does a better job communicating with customers about whether their crawfish are live or previously frozen. VERY DISHONEST BUSINESS SMH.

They had the traditional bar food as well as an interesting combination of traditional Vietnamese dishes. I already had bar food before, so I wanted to try traditional Vietnamese so I got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli. Omg- it was so delicious and tasty. I loved all the sweet sour and spicy flavors and how everything going so perfectly with the vegetables and rice noodles!! my boyfriend actually made fun of me because surprise me, I ate a whole bowl! I wasn't too hungry, but the vermicelli tasted so delicious especially after I poured that sweet and sour sauce over everything and I actually ate the whole entire bowl and I forgot to take a picture of my food!! Lol ughhhhh The service was quick and adequate. The server was very understanding with a larger group party and some of the older Uncle were taking a while to order. Lol. I thought it was quite funny, but the Environment reminded me of -perhaps shipyard almost like TGIF Fridays if it was on a boat?! If that makes any sense? I will definitely come back here again since my boyfriend left his burger, and I had his fries and they were tasty and crunchy! And I definitely love the lemongrass chicken vermicelli!

Of course, I had to try the catfish too! I ordered four chicken wings, four pieces of catfish, and a side of fries. The rice wasn't really my thing, but that potato salad? I could eat it all day! I now come here at least once a month, and honestly, they don't even need a review the crowd speaks for itself. Some people don't like that they wait until you arrive to start preparing your order, but I actually love it! That means my chicken and catfish come out fresh, fresh and crispy, crispy every time. It's definitely worth the wait, and I'll keep coming back!

Absolutely wonderful experience here for a last-minute birthday dinner…read more We didn't have a reservation for a Saturday night, but did not have to wait around 5:45pm for a party of 2. There is plenty of seating inside, by the bar, and outside in a heated patio. I ordered the spaghetti del Trabocco, as I love seafood and pasta, but have food intolerance to onion and garlic, which has always been challenging for me when going to Italian restaurants. However, the waiter informed me that this dish has no onions or garlic at all! I have never yet encountered a pasta dish with no garlic/onion and was beyond exhilarated that I would be able to order this dish. My husband got the lasagna, and we both ordered drinks. The drinks came out within a few minutes, along with yummy bread, vinegar and olive oil. The entrees took about 10 minutes to come out but they were well worth the wait. The scallops in the spaghetti were so soft, the shrimp were large, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. One of the clams was slightly salty but it did not ruin the dish. My husband enjoyed his lasagna as well, noting it was fulfilling. The best part of the night, was when I asked for a tiramisu to celebrate my birthday. Having tiramisu cake on my birthday holds personal sentimental value to me. Apparently, when the cook isn't busy, he'll come out and sing Happy Birthday to you! The cook was busy when my cake came out about 10 minutes after we finished our main dishes, but the waiter came to sing instead and he was wonderful, topping off the night to say the cake was complimentary. I was almost brought to tears by the gesture. The tiramisu was delicious, devoured too quick, even my husband approved, and I have been thinking of it ever since. I am so appreciative of how they made my birthday dinner a wonderful experience, the service, and the delicious food. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Drinks and appetizers are great at the bar. Bartenders are nice. I think I had a cioppino or sea food stew once that was also really good. All the food coming out of the kitchen looks great. But here's the rub I finally figured out after talking about this place with my partner multiple times. There is tension in the air, a lot of it. Walking in you can feel it. Not sure where it's coming from since the owner, Gino I think, seems like a pretty nice and chill guy and interactions with him are always good and I see him interact with the staff in a positive way. So why the tension? Where is that coming from? Regardless, I don't need that tension and anxiety on my resume or in my tequila. For some reason I really wanted this place to be sort of a nice hang out and place to always go. Just hasn't panned out that way. We'll still go back at times and test the waters. Just not going to be one of our regular haunts. People seem to love it more than I currently do so there must be something there. Rounding up to 4.

Neo Soul and R&B played at the perfect volume to add the ambiance but not to discourage conversation. We settled on the Fried Oyster Mushroom and the catfish with greens. I had never had them before and was hesitant but decided to give them a try at the urging of my wife and the server. Once I started eating them I couldn't get enough. The catfish and greens were both flavorful and the portions were huge and more than enough for the two of to share. The banana pudding waffle was good, but I think I would try the strawberry shortcake instead if I am ever in the area again. Willows & Pines is a spot I would definitely recommend and would personally go to again if in Oakland. The staff were friendly and service was a great.
