I contacted GVF for a quote for LVP and/or carpet. They were very quick to come to my home to measure and work up a quote. We ultimately ended up choosing LVP. I am a very direct person and when talking to John (the owner), I was very upfront about my project and the workmanship of my project. I also asked them about a negative review that I had read and they were very upfront about the situation and their explanation was absolutely believable. I chose a flooring and also wanted the staircase steps to be changed. We were away on a trip and I got an email from John telling me that he didn't think I would like the way the stairs would finish. He was 100% accurate in his assumption. We decided to change the manufacturer for a staircase that I would like. We scheduled a start date/time and lo and behold, Conrad WAS THERE at the scheduled date/time! Anyone who lives in the mountains knows that this is a rare occurrence! Conrad was courteous, answered so many questions I had, listened to my concerns and adjusted accordingly. He had a helper with him and between the two, were so helpful in moving furniture and making sure I was happy 100% of the time. When the job was complete, IN THE TIME PROMISED, I could not have been more pleased. My floor is beautiful, professionally installed, and I could not be happier about it. I would recommend Grand Valley Flooring over and over again! I will also leave a Google review with pictures, for reference. read more

New owner John At Grand Valley Flooring. He seems nice and honest but soon tries to deceptively sidestep contract a few hours into the project. I tried to work it out with a final agreement on 5-12 but he again lied and failed to comply. I believed him again! Now I have to hire additional people to fix problems they created and finish the flooring installation. See pics of some issues. Horrible experience. read more

After 30 years of the original tired carpet, we went to Grand Valley Flooring and were super pleased with the outcome! Ted and Bobbi were helpful in the selection of the carpet (there was a broad selection of flooring options), responsive in quickly turning around the measurement and estimate process, and accommodating us on the timing of the installation. Since we are seasonal in Fraser, we were concerned about oversight of the installation process. Ted and Bobbi use good installers and the installation process went seamlessly. We recommend Grand Valley Flooring highly! 5 Stars! Jen and Mike M read more

Not a fan of this business. When I interacted with the owners I felt like I was doing them a favor. Communication was poor, stopped by to get update on a quote and they couldn't give me any information. I finally heard back from owner on the quote and the pricing was ridiculous. Based on our square footage and the per square foot price of the material we picked out, there was no way the cost they provided could be correct. However, I can't figure out because quote simply gave material and installation costs, and taxes. No specifics on square footage they were quoting. After receiving the quote I never heard from them again. Makes you wonder if they really wanted the business based on the ridiculous price and no follow up. read more

Ted and Bobbie were nice to work with and super responsive. I called around to some of the big box stores and larger name carpet businesses. Most of them couldn't tell me when they would be up in Grand Lake to do measurements or even when they could schedule the install. Called Ted and he was able to do measurements the next day and carpet was installed the following week, so from start to finish it took about two weeks. Such amazing turn around. Did we pay a bit more than the big box stores? Probably. But it was worth it to give our business to a local company and to get the job done as quickly as we did. Ted and Bobbie had a great selection of carpet and my questions were addressed promptly. My wife and I are very pleased of the work completed and the quality of the carpet. Just another example of the benefits of staying local. read more

I was glad to see that I had a local option to provide new carpet for my home in Granby. Unfortunately, this company did not respond with a quote after a week so I called and they responded quickly. However, what I received was a quote that simply provided material and labor costs plus tax. So I called and spoke to the owner and requested the square yardage they estimated for my home and a breakdown of carpet vs. pad costs so I could make an intelligent decision to upgrade or downgrade based on price. The response was ludicrous- "I can tell you afterwards". He wouldn't tell me how much carpet I needed for my own home? Seriously? So clearly this company has no interest in providing the level of detail that I have easily experienced with other flooring companies. This explains what I found to be an excessively high price. Based on a similar square footage I had installed last fall, with a similar grade carpet and pad, Grand Valley Flooring was more than $2,000 higher, about 40%! So, I will pay the trip charge for a front range company to provide and install my carpet and I suggest you consider the same. read more

Very unfriendly - we chose to drive an hour away to find a friendly and helpful flooring company. Once I did that and asked around town, it turns out many other professionals in the area had nothing nice to say about this business. read more

I called these guys to see if they would install some carpet for my rental home. I never got a call back. That's terrible business and I can understand now why so many have given this company a one-star review. CLUE TO BUSINESS OWNER: CALL YOU POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS BACK!! read more

Good news. The owner of the company got in touch with me and replaced the floors. They did an excellent job. The floors are rock solid and they left the condo spotless. read more

I hired Grand Valley Flooring to refinish our wood floors at our vacation home in Granby Ranch in the Spring of 2016. Initially I was pleased with the communication I received from Ted, his responsiveness (rare in mountain communities like ours) and the price. Ultimately I hired Grand Valley Flooring for my project and spent nearly $4K for them to refinish the floors throughout our main level. Since this is an upscale, popular vacation home used throughout the year, I specifically asked Ted for a quality job that would withstand heavy foot traffic, and as such, I told him I was willing to pay for extra coats of urethane and whatever necessary to make sure our floors wouldn't need refinished again for a long time. For anyone who has been through the process of refinishing wood floors, it is a long and messy process - in my case, one that required furniture being removed from the house, lost rental income while the house was unavailable for rent and additional money, time and effort cleaning the house when the project was completed. Initially our floors looked great, but I knew I was in trouble the first time our family spent a weekend at the house immediately after our project was completed. I noticed that the floors were scratching very easily....literally with a broom, my dog walking across them and minimal foot traffic with shoes and socks. I immediately brought my concerns to Ted's attention and he said he would "take a look at the floors" the next time he was in the area. A couple of weeks later Ted followed up to tell me that the floors were still curing. Really? After over two weeks? That sounded suspicious, but regardless, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Approximately one month later we stayed at our home again after we had two other groups stay at our home and the floors were in even worse shape! It became clear that Ted's crew had cut corners and they either didn't apply the extra coats of urethane I paid for or didn't allow enough time in-between coats for the floors to cure properly. Either way, THE JOB WASN'T DONE RIGHT. Over the past six months I gave Ted and Grand Valley Flooring numerous opportunities to make it right with me, and every time I was told that what we were seeing was "normal". NOT SO. I have owned four homes with wood floors, all of which had the floors refinished at one point or another, and NONE showed such extreme signs of wear after only months of being refinished. In fact, after six months our floors now look they did before Grand Valley Flooring "refinished" them - and the floors were 8 years old prior to being refinished! I had my contractor look at the floors when he visited my home recently and he agreed that they look like they hadn't been refinished in "years." I gave Ted one last opportunity to make it right, asking him to at least agree to re-screen our floors since we can't go through the hassle of another round of refinishing, and my requests went ignored. I own a service business as well and I always go above and beyond to make sure my customers are happy. I don't like giving 1 Star reviews unless they are completely warranted. This one is. A word to the wise - pay the extra money and hire someone from Denver for your flooring project, otherwise you risk falling victim to shoddy workmanship and business practices as I did. At this point we feel like we were robbed of $4K, so don't let this happen to you! read more

The past few days I have been in contact trying to get a quote on flooring and was appalled by how rude the woman I spoke with on the phone was, I believe her name was Heather. From the moment she answered the phone every time we spoke, I felt that I was doing something wrong for asking simple questions. She had a major attitude every time we spoke and is the reason we will not be using this company. read more

We used Grand County Flooring to select and install new carpet in our very high end Grand County home. Ted and the installers did a fantastic job on installing a very difficult carpet selection, making sure seams, stairs, pattern match and baseboards were perfect. They handled everything without us being present. We could not be more pleased. Very highly recommend. read more

They installed the carpet in my new home. The workmanship and quality of the carpet were great. At the time, the concrete in one area was still drying. They came back later and installed the carpet in that room for no additional charge. I do wish they would have left the extra carpet scraps there, but I do appreciate the fact that they cleaned everything up nicely. read more
