Two visits The first…read morevisit First one was for my husband. We walked asking question regarding exm and benefits. Lenscrafters was able to give a breakdown. Within 30 minutes my husband was able to get his exam. Hubbs stated that they were easy going and efficent. The lobby where the frames and front desk is located are clean. Easy to find a style of glasses you like. They could have penciled me as well, but I had to clear something up with my eye insurance. The second visit 02-09-2019 I was able come in on the next Saturday and get my eye exam. My doctor was Stephanie Gelfius OD. The exam rooms were clean. It seemed very fast, the visit, not to fast that you feel like a number, but quick enough to get things done and get going with busy Michigan life. I decided to purchase an extra service. I paid out of pocket for the Digital Retinal Scan, which is $39.99, it scans each eye, so if you have a hard time getting your eyes dilated, which I do, then I would suggest purchasing this service. It does not hurt, it is very quick and it takes a photo which shows all the blood vessels and optic cuffing very clearly. If people who are in danger of high pressure in eyes, are diabetic or have relatives that have glaucoma this would be a good thing to do for a preventive service.

The doctor I saw, Dr. Miller, did not introduce herself. She also did not ask if I had any questions, ask me any questions, or explain much about my updated prescription. The exam felt very brief and like details were missed. The exam rooms were rather filthy, lots of dirt on the carpets. The glasses around the store were also dirty and covered in fingerprints. Overall, it was average, but could have been much better with Dr. Miller and cleanliness.

She receives eye shots and the preparation eliminates any chance of pain. They calmed her fears immediately and are so gentle with her. This means so much to a daughter. They have been very informative and thoroughly answer any questions. -AND- On top of all of this, I had a flat tire in the parking lot today and Gene, a very sweet research coordinator, went out in the rain and changed my tire for me! This is above and beyond what I could ever expect and shows the special care they give patients and caregivers. Thank you Gene !!

I don't have many choices when it comes to retina specialists in the area. Doctor Korot is very knowledgeable, but did not spend a lot of time with me. This was hard as a patient. I get other patients might have more urgent needs, but if I waited over two hours to see you because my retina is detaching, I'd appreciate better "bedside manner." Annual check ups matter too!!! If I could get a referral to a different doctor, I would change offices. Second reason I do not recommend this office: my appointments have been canceled last minute, and rescheduling is damn near impossible. I can never get anyone on the phone! The folks who do take calls don't work in the office and have to leave a note with the office. It took over five times for me to call and leave a message to get a returned call! Again very frustrating from the patient side. Finally, paying a bill is more difficult than it should be. You get the bill in the mail with a number to call. But guess what? The operators say the office is busy and they'll "call you back." I'm not sure what else can be done, aside from going into the office to pay my bill. I would argue that you have to go to the office to schedule and pay bills in person because the phone and email do not seem to work. Please do better, retina specialists of Michigan. You can hire more people to help with admin work, this might actually help patients.

Fro the beginning of treatment until my last visit I received excellent care. I was first treated for dry eye and then had another type of presurgery treatment in both eyes. I had Lasik surgery years ago so I opted to get what was probably the best option for me was the LAL lenses! Both Dr Trevor who did the surgery and Dr Felicia who did the final adjustments and lockin were great. They explained everything and were kind and caring. When I contacted them, they had no record of my son's trial daily lenses or what brand he used even though he has been seeing them for several years. The receptionist had to ask me for my lens prescription, I'm not sure why she couldn't just look it up in my file? Originally our prescriptions were able to be sent to us via email, but when called, they told us they could no longer send them. Then when they did give us them in person, they were the wrong prescriptions. I tried several sets of trial lenses and none of them worked, plus I had to call to find out if they were in yet. Nobody ever contacted me. It took over a month to get my prescriptions readjusted. I was first seen in April of 2025, and didn't get a correct prescription update until June of 2025. I've tried to go there in person twice when they were supposed to be open, and they had closed earlier than indicated on their door and on their website. My trial contacts took over 3 weeks to come in and I had to call to find out they were in. In October of 2025 I received a bill for my visits back in April. I'm not sure why they didn't bill them for Insurance when I was seen the first time. Clearly the organization needs a stronger team. I recently called Lowell Eye Care several weeks before my CostCo optical appointment. I requested to have my records sent to Costco since I would be changing my optometrist. My files were never sent over after being requested. I will no longer be Lowell Eye Care.

She gave me the receptionist/optician's name.(Natalie) I got up my nerve and gave them a call. They couldn't have been nicer. Dr. Woodbridge is very personable and a sweetheart. I got a real, comprehensive exam. She has adorable kids. My eyes are good, but they have changed since the exam at the "other" place. They take my insurance, which is great! I like to wear vintage cateye frames from the 50s. Wasn't a problem. Natalie got it all measured up and sent out. She is very knowledgeable about vintage frames. They do seem to have a nice frame selection. Vicki was very pleasant too. I was concerned at first that Grandville was a drive, but definitely worth it. It's right downtown and easy to find. I guess what I really like is, this is old school service and courtesy. You aren't treated like "a-take-a-number-piece-of-meat." Definitely will be going back and telling everyone I know.

They had already checked on my insurance coverage, which takes a load off our minds right away. The optometrist, was amazing, and friendly! I could tell when I walked in people feel comfortable and cared for there. She took a full hour with me and explained different procedures with me, such as cataracts, contacts, bi- focals, eyelid correction& answered all my questions! Coming from a background where my brother Dr Dale Van Dyke, was always our family optometrist! I had moved back to Grandville and he was retired, so I tried the fast paced eye care places,like RX OPTICAL, etc...only to find rushed , and assembly line care. The first few weeks my vision was at 20/20, and now after 1 month I'm able to see 20/15 which is better than 20/20! The team is super accommodating and helpful. One time I thought I had an emergency and contact the doctor during the weekend, and he was able to ensure everything was fine and it was a common effect I was feeling, and didn't get upset I contacted him on the weekend for something that turned out to be a false emergency. My only side effects currently are Halos, but I was told they should slowly dissipate in a few months so I'll probably update this review later on. But so far, best decision I've made and I HIGHLY recommend the premium charge at Keil's to ensure you're getting the best technology and care. This is probably the one purchase you don't want to skimp on.
