I brought designs I liked and she had similar rings for me to try on and let me know why some of the images I brought in wouldn't work (such as Etsy rings that have a super small/thin band that may break down the line). I really appreciated that she didn't just say "yes" to all my ideas and let me know why. We ended up collaborating on a beautiful and quirky engagement and wedding band (just like I was hoping for). She also did my brother and sister in law's rings and they look amazing! They cleaned the rings before my wedding and we got them soldered after. My rings a little different so initially someone else soldered it differently than intended but we showed Trina and she corrected it. Since we used the metals and diamonds from my grandparents, it cut down on the price while the customization still made it my own. It's so much more meaningful than just a store bought ring. HIGHLY recommend this store! Will definitely be returning for any and all my jewelry needs. Can't say more positive things about this!

Helpful and great selection. I knew nothing about engagement…read morerings outside of having an idea that I love pearls and gold. Erin helped guide me through all the different shapes and sizes of diamonds, the various bands, setting style, everything, to help me figure out the engagement ring of my dreams with my now-fiancé. Highly recommend using Bauble Patch when looking for engagement rings.

I came in with a vintage 1978 Rolex Datejust that has been in the family since original purchase. It needed serious TLC to just be wearable. I was not an established customer, I had no previous experiences with this store. They could have easily said "Sorry, this isn't fixable, but we can sell you a new one." But they didn't brush me off. They took the time (about an hour) to explain what was and was not possible - and why. Ultimately, I just asked David 'What would you do?'. His advice was perfect. Rather than spending thousands of dollars to dramatically alter the watch with new parts etc., he said he could bring it back to wearable condition for the cost of an hour of his time. David did what he said he would do, delivered more than I expected, and I doubt they made a dollar profit from it. This place is the definition of 'class'. My vintage watch is in great shape now and will be worn on special occasions to preserve it for the next generation. In the meantime, I'm in the market for a new daily driver Rolex - and I hope to buy it here.

The denim selection is full of great brands that you know are quality and will hold up. Off the top of my head I know they carry (or have in the past) Hudson, Paige, and Spanx. The shoes are mostly Sorels, which always stand up incredibly well to our rough Michigan winters. Pro-tip: there is usually a Sorel trunk show or two every year, and special discounts offered for trunk shows and fashion shows! They have 4 locations: Grand Rapids, Rockford, Grand Haven, and Kalamazoo. Their website has inventory from all locations. Various events are held at each location as well. Kalamazoo is the newest, but it looked like they had a huge sidewalk sale this year. Grand Rapids hosts a great fashion show every [normal] year with other partnering local businesses and restaurants, drink tickets, a live DJ, and tons of great raffle prizes. I've also attended smaller versions of the fashion show at the Grand Haven and Rockford locations and they are so much fun! With the shut downs this year and social distancing in play they've adapted the sales and fashion shows to virtual events, which have still been surprisingly fun! They are interactive, have swag bags if you reach a certain $ order amount, and they still do giveaways by asking fun and simple questions. I think there have been 4 this year; the sale on the most recent one was insane!! At first glance the prices might seem high. That's partly due to the quality of the brands they carry. But they also run sales along with the fashion shows and occasionally throughout the year. Rewards can be earned on your account when you spend a certain amount, plus birthday discounts. And their accessories are actually very reasonably priced as well for the quality. I love this store! The Rockford location is my favorite (and closest). The shop is so cute, it's easy enough to shop around and see everything, and the stylists are all so helpful and friendly. Definitely check them out if you haven't already. Support Local!!

I honestly feel like I could wear (and would want to wear) just about anything in the shop. They have everything from the super trendy styles to a more classic piece, all very tasteful. In addition to clothing, they offer accessories, bags, candles, shoes, and water bottles. Their price point varies so i feel there are options for everyone; some very affordable pieces to more high end. The girls that work here are super friendly and helpful, without being pushy. The store is clean and super cozy. They do not accept returns, just in-store credit or exchanges. They have a website, also! Can't say enough good things about this place!

I do not wear the ring to workout, shower, do dishes, garden, or sleep and do not have a very hands-on job (sit at a computer most of the time). The metal is gold but we were never told of any precautions or concerns with the type of metal or design. We were never told to be cautious with wearing the ring daily or any risks associated with the design of the ring. Since this happened, multiple other professionals have told us the design and quality is poor, there is not enough support or prongs, all of the other diamonds were lose. Additionally, it was voiced by all the professionals we talked to that even with those concerns, what happened should never have after only 9 months and if it did, the fault is on the manufacture. Upon going to address these concerns with Herkner, we were told that the damage is "wear and tear" and they will not cover any repair costs. The associate we talked to said the damage was my fault and I should have known to not wear that ring type so often. She also did not know anything about how to utilize our insurance to cover the cost of repair but warned of the likelihood of our premium increasing so we should just pay the repair cost out of pocket now. We are very displeased with our experience, customer service, and the quality of a VERY expensive ring. I would NOT recommend this business and will be getting my ring repaired and likely redesigned elsewhere. Update to this originally review: We never did receive the information we requested from Herkner. We did get the ring fixed at a different jeweler. We also got the ring re-appraised and it came back significantly different than what Herkner appraised it for (it was adjusted to match the value at the time they completed the appraisal). The new jeweler proved we were not given the quality that we paid for and were guaranteed. It's one of those situations that we could not have predicted but want to share so it limits the people that it happens to moving forward. A shame that a local business scammed us on such a meaningful and special symbol.

They guessed that a battery replacement was the fix for both and a few months later, both were back to having the same issues of lagging (old watch) and stopping entirely (Rolex). I needed a custom wedding band made with my own diamonds, and they quoted me $1200 in the store, but changed the pricing to $2500 after creating the CAD images, saying I must have misheard them. After some consideration, I ended up bowing out which they were very salty about given they had gone through the trouble of creating the images. I ended up choosing Craft Revival Jewelers downtown to make my band, which I'm SO glad about...they made me a nearly identical ring.. WITH added rubies for $1180 total! That's half the price of what Herkners offered me!
