Had air conditioning repaired for a hose connection leak. $500 for the repair. Asked about cost to change oil in my pick-up truck's transmission. their charge was over $500. The dealer, who is not the cheapest place on earth, was $349. I think their pricing is getting expensive and a little post Covid gouging going on here, like many merchants. Took a car in for front end alignment. They sent a text with an estimate cost for repairs. 2400.00 for break lines. Brakes worked fine with no leaks when I dropped it off. I declined the work, pick up car , get to maple an fenton rd. NO BRAKES. Brake fluid sprayed all over. Not happy. But I guess the brakes were good enuf for the 9 mile drive they took. Stay away... Do NOT go here if you want your vehicle properly repaired the first time. They replaced my sway bar link bushings because of a clunking sound coming from the vehicle. I pick the vehicle up, and the sound is still there. Take it to another shop come to find out the sway bar links and the control arms were put on HAND TIGHT. I ended up paying another shop to tighten some bolts waste of money and time. The bottom skid plate was not put back on upon picking the vehicle up. I called them to remind them the skid plate was in the trunk I was then informed on the phone to be rest assured that it was in the notes of the vehicle description of it being in the trunk. Clearly it was just pure laziness and lack of professionalism. I was offered for my vehicle to "come back" no way. Wasted my time and money. read more

after they fixed my jeep they took it for a joy ride through the mus slinging it up past my side mirrors. plus they drug mud into the inside of the jeep. when question they did not offer an apology just excuses to why the mud. the non contact service where that email you the quote to fix is non personal. No customer service what so ever. At the end of the process I felt that they did me a favor for fixing my jeep. read more

I called several shops in the area to take a look at a problem I was having with my Primo which is a cross between a Toyota Prius and a Subaru Baja. I took my 2013 car to Grand Pointe Automotive for a sqeek on my driver side by the front wheel. They test drove it, and said it was my front rotors. Ok no big deal! So I paid the bill, and had them fixed the next day. Sure enough, after getting the car fixed, the sound is still there! So I took it back again & they said "oh... it's the rubber boot on the caliper..." Ok, fine... had that fixed, noise is still there!! Seriously?!?!? Then they had the audacity to say "bring it in for us to look at it again" Sorry man, I have a full time job and a life... Too many other garages in town. I took my business elsewhere. The first wall graph on the wall as you enter is a 72 chevelle. Being the original owner of a matching color 71 I felt like I was entering a family reunion picnic! Took a vehicle in for a hesitation between shifting and a engine light. They said it was due to a bad spark plug. They also found that the negative battery cable was corroded and said it needed to be replaced. They did a tune up and thought that the problem was fixed. The next day the problem returned. At first I was upset, and thought that I got taken advantage of. The price seemed high, so I took the car back and I explained how I felt to a manager. The manager took responsibility and stood by the work that was done, and also explained why the parts they use cost more than what you would find at NAPA (all parts used were OEM). The engine light never came back on but the problem was still there. They stood by there reputation and continued to troubleshoot deeper into the problem. After doing a software update on the vehicle (free of charge) the problem still remained. The mechanics troubleshot further, and concluded that the transmission was beginning to fail. The owner broke down everything that they performed to determine this issue, and also explained that the codes were all pointing towards a misfire in the beginning (which never came back after the plugs and wires were changed). The fault codes were almost masking the trans problem. Overall I feel that the work done was necessary and to the best. I haven't decided if its worth putting a new transmission in yet, but the shop gave me a hell of a deal if I do decide to follow through with it. The customer service is more than what I expected and I would recommend GPA to others. More people need to post reviews, its the only way to be heard. read more
