We visited Grand Oasis Palm for my son's 3rd birthday. We had a great time! I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but am pleased to report that I will be back. The pool areas were awesome, food was amazing; we never had a bad meal. Some places were better than others but nothing was 'bad' about the food. The rooms were comfortable, staff was friendly. There was something for everyone when it came to food options, coffee shops, even the kids club (which includes a little Jurassic themed water play area for kids and parents to enjoy for a few hours). We had a great time and cannot wait to go back!

It's a long one....I was severely disappointed with my stay at this resort rated 4.5 on other websites. It is not all inclusive, it's mostly inclusive. Wine with dinner is extra, want a steak? Extra. Want to get a bed on the beach? Extra. Upon arrival we were greeted with pleasant enough employees but the room they decided to give us had 2 full beds side by side for a family of 4. When selecting a room it's noted that you get what's available, but this was ridiculous, not to mention the AC didn't work. I opted to upgrade the room in hopes the new room would have better AC and 2 queen beds. The junior suite was better but the AC in my kids room don't work for the duration. The hot water was hit or miss and, if it did work, it had to be constantly adjusted to avoid scolding or freezing. If you don't want to eat at the buffet you have to make reservations daily and in person, god forbid you're more than 10 minutes late or you'll forfeit your reservation and be charged a fee. Get to everything early or there will be a ridiculous line. If you do eat at the buffet, do you best to eat at the griddle if you want hot food. My wife and I were genuinely concerned about food temps as everything was very cold (but beautiful to look at) if you want a dessert other than flan, you're out of luck. The kid zone was out of order and I don't know if I call this a family resort as there are several areas where children aren't welcome. The pool area is pretty dangerous. They have fake wood tile that is so slick they have people at the sites warning everyone as they walk outside and my son fell very hard even with the warning. There is a trench that is missing the stones used to keep the area flush and avoid tripping. Entry to the pool is dangerous at any point with out stairs anywhere and only 2 ladders or the walk-in with the trench. I am a heavy tipper and spent $100 just in tips for the first 3 days. It made no difference in our service so take that as you will.

    My leaky room

This is the worst place to stay. My son has an allergy to mold and has been coughing in the room they said they would check in with us in 2 days they didn't my son had to sleep with my mother in law. We come back from dinner and a couple of shows to see water was coming out of room You can see the black mold and it looks like they did work on it before We have called for the manager to come up and take a look. No manger showed waiting for 45 minutes the sent a maintenance guy up and started cleaning the water out of the A/C intake with a towel.Sorry for the rambling P.S. I wish I could give negative 5

I was very skeptical and kept finding myself fall into the rabbit hole of reviews before going here. But with the price I got it for, I'm very satisfied with my 3 night stay at Grand Oasis Palm! My girlfriend and I went for a pre-birthday vacation and was hoping to beat the spring break crowd but ran right into it. Oh well. The room was well kept, didn't take advantage of the housekeepers much but they were consistently busy. When requesting things from the front desk there were times where they took a while to get back to you, but it's a big hotel! There was a wide variety of restaurants accessible for the Grand Oasis Palm members. We went to Careyes, Los Agaves, White Box, Bites food hall, and Cafe Del Mar. All of the food seemed to be quality products. Some obscure dishes but I mean that in a nice way. They all tasted good! I did feel bad for my girlfriend at some points because of the lack of vegetarian options but they were able to make it work. Although, the process for making reservations at the restaurants was a bit weird. Everybody has to line up around 4 pm to make first come - first serve reservations. The longest I had to wait was 25 minutes to secure a timely spot at the restaurant. You have to line up at the restaurant you want to eat at that night, can't make reservations for other places. Had entertainment accessible every night we were there. Seen a magician, a mariachi band, and live music at the glass bar! Language barrier was easier than I expected it to be. Don't let the nightmare reviews scare you away, I'd visit this resort again!

First of all. I would like to start off by saying that as soon as I entered I thought the hotel was really nice. It's connected to another oasis palm resort so we were able to eat at all the restaurants that was in between the two resorts . Checkin in took forever and a day. We didn't know we had to go to another lobby to check in. Not sure why that is. The employee that helped us seemed a little weird. Especially cause he would whisper when he talk. Excuse me sir, we have to wear masks and you're speaking low? There is also a government fee we would need to pay. It wasn't expensive but why not add that to the all inclusive fee? So that being said, yes you have to wear a mask the entire time. The employees do get mad if you're without one. Restaurants: We were advised by the front desk that you have to get in line at 4 to make a reservation for some restaurants. I got in like at like 3:30 and there was already a big line. Luckily I was able to claim a spot but the person behind me didn't. If you plan on visiting those restaurants with reservations, prepare to give yourself 1 hour to not do anything and stand in line. We had the 7pm slot. It's ok but I wished it was later Here is what I thought at the places I ate at and if we were able to reserve or need to reserve. Grand Oasis Palm we have: COCOA: 6/10 ADULTS ONLY - this is an Al la carte menu. So try and order everything you want at once. We are here for breakfast and it's good. I would recommend the enchiladas suizas. So delicious and the salsa was so good. (10/10) will recommend My husband has the eggs Benedict. His rating is: 5/10 for them. We also shared a bacon and asparagus frittata. (6/10) We we went back for lunch time and I got the rib eye steak and potatoes + a shrimp taco. Their morning menu was definitely better. The following day we had also had the fish and tbh I wouldn't recommend it. LAS PALMAS: 4/10 - this is a buffet style restaurant. We came to try this for breakfast and it's just ok for breakfast. The fruit is pretty good and so is the waffle. The only thing I'll say are that the employees who work here are rude. It's not rudeness to a party but just anyone who walks in. For employees id give them a 2/10. We did have a waiter who was sooo nice. He brought drinks and was on top of it. Items that I have enjoyed from this restaurant during their dinner menu are the tunas tostadas & the chicken mole. We went back for pasta night and it was decent. Their broccoli is good and so are the potatoes. CAREYES: ADULTS ONLY- RESERVATION REQUIRED- 8/10 - this is a 4 course meal restaurant. Personally I liked it. It was just fancy. I was still hungry after we left. (Photo below). If you wanna be boujee try and get in line for this lol Oasis Palm we have: BITES BUFFET: 2/10 - the only thing I enjoyed from this place was the chocolate cake. HACIENDA BUFFET: 1/10 - the food wasn't great. We tried the pasta. Nope nope: the reason I'm giving this rating is because the employees who would get our drinks were on it. However the hosts at the front were rude. SNACK BAR ISLA MUJERES: 0/10 - the sushi was not good at all and the sushi guy was mean. Like bro F you and your sushi. SISAL: 8/10- this is also an a la carte restaurant. The fish tacos were good and I also had a coconut chicken . I would say out of all the restaurants there, this had to be the best . The only problem is the service being a little slow. The beach was nice but it wasn't amazing. Still clear though. The pool was fun. They have like lounge chairs in the pool which made it so relaxing. I did enjoy it + there is a bar in the pool. The alcoholic drinks are watered down but good thing it's all inclusive so you can continue to drink lol The rooms have beer, sodas and waters stocked. My husband was really happy with the arcade they have lol he was there playing his favorite game. We enjoyed that everything was at the hotel and didn't have to go out . I wish there was other things I can do or see but unfortunately didn't get to the hotel on time to make reservations for the pirate ship and I didn't want to be on one with a bunch of kids. To come back to the states you will need to take a Covid test. This is located next to the MakiTaco restaurant. Cost is $15 per person Overall rating for this hotel 3 1/2 so we're rounding off to 4

    The "comforter"

Our stay at the Grand Oasis Palm was not very good. I would definitely recommend choosing a different resort for your vacation and here are my reasons why. 1.ALL INCLUSIVE = VERY LIMITED The first night we arrived around 10:30pm and check-in took about 30 minutes due to signing many forms. When we were done with checkout we asked where we could go get food and we were told that all restaurants close at 11 except for a restaurant at the hotel next door. After a long day of traveling we were excited to finally go sit down and get some food. Although the "restaurant" he was referring to was a singular guy making grilled cheese sandwiches at a grill. There was a huge line and it took us over 30 minutes to just get 2 pieces of bread with cheese and ham inside. After getting this pathetic excuse of a dinner we decided we wanted a drink, but THERE IS NO ALCOHOL AVAILABLE AFTER 11pm MONDAY-SUNDAY. RESTAURANTS LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU CAN ORDER?! That's not ALL INCLUSIVE? 2.HORRIBLE SLEEPING CONDITIONS, THERMOSTAT DOESN'T WORK You basically have 2 options, AC on and freeze or AC off and die of heat stroke. Attached is the picture of the "comforter" you get. I spent my nights waking up dying from heat and turning the AC on and then a couple hours later waking up freezing and turning the AC off and repeat. Our first night there I realized the thermostat didn't work so i called down to get blankets delivered because we would rather have a cold room with many blankets vs a hot room. They told me they were on the way. I stayed up an extra hour and a half waiting for the blankets and they never came. I went and complained the next day and there was no apology. 3.ONE NICE RESTAURANT = GOOD LUCK GETTING A RESERVATION There is one very nice restaurant at the hotel called Careyes. To get a reservation here is nearly impossible. They say to just go to the restaurant at 4pm and make a reservation for that night, but in reality if you aren't lined up there at 2:30pm you can just forget about it. And that's no guarantee as they seem to give reservations even though they say they don't. So you basically spend an hour and a half of your day waiting in line to maybe get a dinner reservation. I was 7th in line one day and got the last reservation available at a time i didn't want. Based on other people's comments we hit the lottery as some guests tried every day and were unsuccessful. The food there was great but you are LIMITED on what you can order and NO HOUSE WINE?!? You are forced to buy a bottle if you want wine with your 5 star meal. 4.MEXICAN RESTAURANT = NO MARGARITAS?! Yep, that's right. Went to the "mexican" restaurant called los Agaves (how's that for irony) and couldn't get a margarita. You are also FORCED TO ORDER ALL YOUR FOOD AT ONCE. We like to order our food in waves to prevent overeating/ wasting food, but many restaurants here don't allow it. 5.FEELING SICK? MIGHT HAVE COVID? = GOOD LUCK GETTING FOOD TOGO!! My dad wasn't feeling well one day and wanted to stay in the hotel room in case he had covid. I went to 4 restaurants asking for soup to go for my sick papa and was denied. Seems like they don't care if you're feeling sick? Come on down to the restaurant if you want food period....NO ROOM SERVICE?! 6.NOT ACCOMMODATING - Couldn't get change from front desk to properly tip (in pesos and USD) - They mandate masks, but don't provide any - Very hard to get water bottles to bring back to your room 7.MISCELLANEOUS ANNOYANCES - They were low on orange juice one day and so they added a bunch of water to the orange juice they had and served it to us. It tasted like yellow mush. - Seems impossible to get water with you meal? I would have to ask 3-4 times for water at multiple restaurants. I don't like being rude to service workers, but it seems like adding some sass was the only way to get water. - The breakfast buffet was a joke. Extremely limited and looked disgusting, walked in to the buffet and walked right out. - Limited pool seating, if you're not an early riser you can say goodbye to a spot by the pool - IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE THE PROS? - Most of the food was very good - Great coffee shop - Some good entertainment (shows/music) - Very clean, they are constantly cleaning the floors - Tapas restaurant was good food and even though there's a limit on what you can order they let us order more food. - Cocoa restaurant was good food

The disgusting room they moved us to for quarantine

I realize this review is very very long but to put things in a shorter way. They scammed us with a positive Covid test and gave us the bare minimum for insurance purposes. Bare minimum meaning a bug infested room, mold, no way to get medicine/clean clothes because they wouldn't let us leave our room. I am not being dramatic by any means, they walked us down from our original room to our "quarantine room" to the resort next door, the guards escorted us down the bottom rooms that would make an old motel 6 look nice, tiny tiny moldy room with no AC. There was a security guard with a loud radio echoing all day and night making sure we don't leave our room. They had absolutely 0 concern for our health if we really were sick and there was no sense of hospitality whatsoever. We are adventures souls that can deal with inconveniences that life presents sometimes but this was truly an experience that scared us. I came out of the room crying because the room they put us in had a dead phone so we had no way to order food and the guard screamed at me to get back in my room, I had to be strong and demand a new phone so we could eat to the best of my abilities because they spoke 0 English. The manager came down and said "your not on vacation anymore." We only had the option of ordering 2 things via phone and that was pizza with no sauce or a dry ass burger.. even though this place was all exclusive they didn't want to spare any of the nicer foods for their "sick" guests. Also I need to mention that they tried to separate my husband and I on our HONEYMOON because he was positive and I was negative. We literally had to sneak out of the country you guys, my husband and I had to cross the boarder on foot, this shit was scary. We spent an extra $2000 we didn't have as a newly married couple to flee this place. This RUINED our honeymoon and our first and last experience in Cancun. There is a very sketchy operation going on at this hotel.. I beg of you to please be aware of this and do not spend your money here. It was an awful and scary experience to say the least.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

My husband and I came to Temptation Resort to celebrate his birthday, relax, and make memories together. Instead, we experienced one of the most frightening experiences of our lives. While we were napping in bed, the ceiling above our bed suddenly collapsed onto us. I woke up to the sound of crashing drywall and instinctively threw my legs up to shield my face from the falling debris. Looking at the damage afterward, I can't stop thinking about how differently this could have ended if I hadn't reacted in that split second. Looking back, there were warning signs. From the day we checked in, our room had a persistent wet, mildew-like odor and excessive condensation. I remember mentioning how strange it smelled, but I convinced myself it was just the tropical humidity. The room was both excessively cold and damp. What has stayed with me most, though, is not just the collapse--it's how we were treated afterward. I expected compassion. I expected concern. I expected someone to recognize that waking up to a ceiling crashing down on sleeping guests is a traumatic experience. Instead, I felt like the seriousness of what happened was minimized. The initial response was a lateral room change and upgraded wristbands for premium liquor, as if that could somehow make us forget what had just happened. Only after we continued to express how unacceptable the situation was did the resort offer an upgraded suite, steaks, cabana, and a (2) 25-minute massage. Those gestures completely missed the point. This wasn't about luxury upgrades or complimentary amenities. It was about our safety. It was about acknowledging the fear we experienced and taking responsibility for a catastrophic event that should never happen in an occupied guest room. Instead we got "things like this happen". Huh? To make matters worse, the resort refused to provide ANY refund--not even for the day the ceiling collapsed--unless we signed documents releasing them from liability. We were expected to sign away our rights before we even knew whether we had injuries or what the long-term impact of this experience might be. We declined. The emotional impact didn't end that night. For the rest of our stay, I couldn't relax. I suffered from extreme anxiety the next day, that warranted a doctor visit. At this time, the matter had still not been rectified. We were expected to wait around for the GM to speak with us, he never did- we never even met him. The sense of peace and security that a vacation should provide was gone. Instead of enjoying my husband's birthday trip , I spent the remainder of our trip feeling anxious, on edge, and constantly replaying what had happened. No guest should leave vacation with this experience. The front desk manager denied my request to any incident reports or doctor reports that included information pertaining to this situation. She didn't appear to have any remorse, empathy, or compassion. I'm sharing this not because I want sympathy, but because people deserve to know what happened and how it was handled. I hope the resort takes this incident seriously, thoroughly investigates what caused it, and changes how it responds when guests experience a major safety event. The photos tell the story better than words ever could. I truly hope no one else ever has to wake up the way we did.

This is a AMAZING value all-inclusive resort…read more We arrived in the evening around 9:15pm, the check in process took about 40 minutes and we were able to hit the dinner buffet before it closed at 10:30pm. We got a ground level room with a deck facing the pool, it was clean and the mini fridge was stocked, it is restocked every 24hrs with water, snacks, beers and soda. The room did have a watery smell to it, but nothing that was a bother. The room's air conditioning worked great and there is a ceiling fan. There was shampoo and body wash in the shower. The shower head is adjustable so you are able to change the water pressure. The shower gets hot and stays hot. We used the gym all 6 days we were there, it has great equipment, 3 treadmills, 3 bikes, 3 ellipticals and weights. The only thing is the air conditioning doesn't work very well so be prepared to sweat! There were 3 restaurants on the property, Mexico Lindo, a seafood and an Italian restaurant. They all had amazing food, we ate at each one twice. You can also choose to eat at the buffet for dinner which doesn't need a reservation and there is a 24hr snack bar. The reason why I gave this resort 4 starts instead of 5 is the fact that you do have to be up at 6:45am if you want a reservation. However, when we were there, Mexico Lindo wasn't requiring a reservation. You also have to be up early if you want to reserve a spot at the pool or beach. Each guest receives one towel that you can exchange at the end of the day for a new towel or a towel card. If you lose your towel or towel card it is a $25 fee. There is a ferry right by the beach that you can take to Isla Mujeres which we did, it was $29USD per person which makes for a beautiful day trip. A lot of reviews say there is a gasoline smell at the beach, that was not the case. At times when the ferry left to Isla Mujeres it would linger for about 5 seconds then it'd be gone. It is a great beach. There is also free WiFi at this resort. The workers are AMAZING!! We had great service at the restaurants, bars, everywhere. They were all friendly and helpful. We never had an issue getting drinks at the bar and we went during Spring Break season.

I don't know if…read morethat is the reason we received the level of hospitality and service that we did, but I'm hoping that guests staying in standard rooms received the same spectacular experience! Due to having a suite, we had butlers Romero and Isaías, and they were both AMAZING. They were extremely attentive, and whatever we needed was never an issue. If we asked for something, it was done quickly and without hesitation. You honestly couldn't ask for better service. We also had access to the Aqua Club, which was open from 7 AM-10 PM and offered premium liquor along with light snacks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The waiters there--Daniel, Guillermo, and Eduardo--were great! They were even willing to make us our favorite shots that they had never heard of (blowjobs... Google it ), but they made them anyway! The lounge itself is super relaxing, with spectacular ocean views from the 5th floor. Now, onto the part we ALL care about the most: THE FOOD! There are several restaurants on the property to choose from, but our absolute favorite was Hidden Garden, which is Asian-inspired and run by Chef Mario. Everything we ordered was spectacular! Chef Mario even came out to our table, greeted us personally, and provided us with a menu curated by him--which I'm assuming was because it was my birthday... lol. They also have one paid restaurant called Carnivore, which is a steakhouse. Now, I am a self-proclaimed steakhouse snob, so I have to keep it real: for the price, it was mid. But for a resort steakhouse, it was good. The rest of the food throughout the resort was WAAYYYY better than expected--even the poolside grill and the food you can order directly to your cabana. Everything was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The ribs they made at the poolside grill every day were FANTASTIC! The head of culinary at the resort, Mr. Germain, is definitely doing what needs to be done because the food was consistently impressive throughout the property. Now, the second-most important thing for most people: NIGHTLIFE. Personally, I came to relax, and the overall vibe of the resort definitely gives relaxation. However, they do have a nightclub called Egos, which stays open until 1 AM. I went once, but it wasn't really my music or my vibe. If you're looking for more of a nightlife scene, I would suggest heading into the city. BUTTTT... if you love a good pool party, make sure you hit the Moët Pool Party because BABYYYYYY... it was LIT! Overall, the resort exceeded my expectations. The service, food, atmosphere, and attention to detail made for an amazing experience, and I would absolutely consider coming back!

However, what truly struck us both this time was the incredibly warm treatment we received. A hotel is only as great as its staff, and the team here is what makes it special. We booked a club-level oceanfront room, which included butler service. Our butler, Arturo, absolutely came through for us. He handled our restaurant and cabana reservations ahead of time and was instrumental in securing a late check-out on our final day. The dining at this all-inclusive is superb. For breakfast, Siete offers a decent buffet, and our waiter, Helvert, was incredibly kind and always took the time to chat with us. For dinner, DB was our top choice for elegant continental dining, complete with a live pianist. The manager, Susana, provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the chef even came out to greet us. We also loved Hidden Gardens, a relaxed Asian-fusion spot with tasty food, impeccable service, and another welcome visit from the chef. During the sweltering day, the pool is the main draw. Lalo was always helpful in securing our requested cabana. They cost an extra $115 each time, but they are completely worth it to escape the intense sun. Our pool waitress, Marysol, befriended us and knew exactly what non-alcoholic drinks to bring us. My wife is a big coffee drinker, so we frequently stopped by the included Starbucks, where David the barista gave excellent service and loved chatting with me about World Cup soccer. Also, a big shoutout goes out to Lady and Daisy at the spa. They gave my wife and I heavenly massages. However, the absolute heart of the entire hotel is Marco, the extraordinary juicer at Siete! His positivity, jokes, and contagious smile drew a long line of people waiting for his blended drinks every morning. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so memorable!

Hey Ya'll! So I wasn't impressed with this resort…read more Amenities (3.5/5)Overall, the amenities were decent. I really enjoyed the beach and the pools for swimming. They were clean and I had no reaction after. Pools that are not properly maintained give my skin the itchies after. Food (2/5)Breakfast buffet and the Mexican restaurant were the meals I mostly enjoyed. I did love the buffet, but let's be honest, that's probably because all I ate was avocado, fruit, eggs, and bacon anyway, lol. So that part worked in my favor. The Italian spot had good apps. The mussels were what I should have eaten for my meal. The rest was meh. Room and Cleanliness (3.5/5)The room view was absolutely beautiful and made me happy. That said, I cleaned the room well myself upon checking in. I had only one cleaning so my roomie would have the new room clean experience when she checked in. Room Decor and Structure (2/5)Not up to my personal standards in any way. The minibar is why a two and not a one. There was no headboard. The sinks had no drain covers. I was petrified and spent most of the week taking jewelry on and off so I wouldn't drop anything. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony, which is where i spent most of my waking time when in the room. I also thought this was an adults-only resort. It wasn't. No bueno! The staff was a solid 5/5, especially after the mishap with my dry cleaning. They were accommodating, kind, and appreciative of tips and our patience. I almost lost it about my clothes, but they handled it well and I appreciated that. I do wonder if the floor that we stayed on was an older floor we were on the fifth floor in rooms 545, 547 and 548. So I wonder if rooms on that floor were in worse condition than some of the other others they seem to have not been slept in for a while because when I cleaned there were lots of dust as if no one had been in there for a while . The beach was great and very almost private. The vendors weren't too pushy and they had decent pricing. Dollars go further...don't exchange to Mexican pesos!
