There is also a grill where you pick your raw ingredients, and they grill in front of you. The dinner was $33.95 per person. However, they have plenty of high end options. Sushi, sushi mi, snow crab, oysters, mussels, and shrimp. Lunch is more reasonable, around $15-16. I am not sure what options are available for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

They have all your staples, the sushi, the sashimi, fried foods, a ton of dessert, a hibachi, fish, crab, etc. I lean heavily towards sushi in this situation, so I made myself a plate of sushi and sashimi. It wasn't the best. I don't expect it to be fantastic at buffets, but the sashimi did taste fishy, and the sushi was a little below what I would even expect at an all you can eat. I usually can power through, but I left about half of the sashimi on my plate. The salmon sashimi wasn't bad, but it was very cold. So why three stars? My older son really liked it. Luckily they had enough non-Asian food that he went to town. They had fries, garlic toast, he ate the lo mein picking out the vegetables. Actually, both kids liked the lo mein, so that was a hit. They also have individual servings of ice cream and the kids loved that as well. I actually enjoyed that they had coffee flavor. My husband loves crab legs, so he ate a majority of that. They also had a Matcha cake that was better than I expected. Overall, I don't love this place, but for the price what you get is pretty decent. So I'm not rushing to come back, but if my kids do want to eat here, I wouldn't stop them. It's large, there's tons of parking, especially out back. I don't think you'll have to worry about getting a table.

From the moment I saw the seafood case, everything looked ridiculously fresh, and that freshness carried straight onto the plate. The Tides is both a seafood market and restaurant, so you're surrounded by beautiful seafood and ingredients that actually look like they belong there. Then I noticed the MICHELIN plaque outside the building and thought, wait a minute... THIS place has Michelin recognition? Apparently, yes! The Tides has earned a place in the MICHELIN Guide, which suddenly made a whole lot of sense after tasting the food. That salmon was seriously some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, beautifully prepared and so clean tasting that it didn't need a bunch of heavy sauces or nonsense piled on top. It felt like one of those rare meals that is indulgent because it's delicious, but you also walk away thinking, I actually ate something good for me. The Tides was a genuine surprise, and now I'm wondering how many other little gems I've been driving right past without knowing they were there.

On my first visit, I ordered the mix & match gyros and specifically requested no onions because I have an onion allergy. The receipt even said "no onions," but when I got home, both gyros had onions on them. Lacked flavor. I decided to give them another chance and ordered two burgers. Unfortunately, they were just as bad. The burgers were bland, had almost no seasoning or flavor, and didn't taste fresh. They also weren't very warm by the time I got home, so I had to reheat them in the microwave. I don't mind giving a restaurant a second chance, but after two disappointing experiences, I just can't recommend it. The food lacked flavor, and the mistake with my allergy request makes it hard for me to trust them with future orders. Front staff also bland, no smiles, no politeness. Nothing, bland just like the food here.

Nice flavor and a good value for $10. The fish was basa, had lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on it, and was fresh and delicious. The food was ready when I arrived and the interaction with the staff was brief but friendly. Overall I thought this was a pretty good meal and I will return to try some of the other dishes on their menu. I'd give this a 3 1/2 stars.

Knowledgeable, personable and attentive.....what more could you ask for? The overall experience was wonderful, as always. Nice, cozy atmosphere. Excellent service. And the food was pretty much perfect. I ordered the special ($90), a Tomahawk rib-eye cooked Pittsburgh medium and it was prepared perfectly! (see pictures). My girlfriend ordered the seafood Risotto, that was also excellent, with crawfish, scallops and shrimp. I always look forward to their Flame stone salad with pecans, cheese, dried cranberries and creamy balsamic vinaigrette. I would have given 5 stars but for me, at these prices, I would expect the meals to include bread and salad. The rib-eye came with 2 sides, the risotto with nothing.

Most of the steak was well-done. The fries were okay and I wasn't a fan of the sauce it came with. I still cleared my plate because I was hungry. It wasn't worth bringing up to the server due to not wanting to wait for another steak to be cooked. Some comments from the rest of the group: the steak salad came with blue cheese crumbles and that's all you could taste. It overpowered the salad. The BLT wedge was okay, nothing over the top. The caesar salad with steak was good. The mac n cheese had good flavor but it was super oily. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience, especially for the price.

The food portions were amazing, and the appetizers were plentiful and absolutely phenomenal. My husband ordered the grilled lobster, and I had the Ribeye Benedict--everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The dessert was truly out of this world. Honestly, it was probably one of the best desserts I've ever had. If Rusty Pelican ever wanted to do a dedicated dessert room like Bern's, I think it would be a huge success because their pastry team is that good. The only thing that felt a little strange was the parking situation. It seemed like the valet attendants had closed off a section of parking even though it wasn't designated as valet parking. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was incredible. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and a memorable Father's Day with our family. We'll definitely be back!
