Grand events rentals is a terrible company. they gave me a 20% discount coupon at a bridal show. and when i called to ask them how much a dance floor would be, (a lot!) they asked me for my credit card information so it could be on file if i decided to use them. i NEVER signed a contract and i never agreed to use them, especially since i found a much cheaper dance floor elsewhere. all my other vendors were amazing. we emailed, called and communicated confirmations all 8 months of planing. grand events rentals not only showed up with a 2nd dance floor on my wedding day, they also charged me the ridiculous amount of $600+ for an un used, wood sliver laden dance floor. beware! read more

Eddie and Erica put together an event for 300 in less than a week. The tent, lighting, tables, chairs, linens, glass and tableware were all beautiful. Eddie and Erica couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. Plus they were a conduit to a great AV guy, Zack. Despite some last minute changes they made it work smoothly. and couldn't have been nicer about it. Delivery, installation and take down were all done professionally and efficiently. The service was great. The products met all expectations. And, we were charged $50 for a linen bag that went missing. We counted it in and they didn't when our friend dropped off the supplies. I am happy to pay for any damage etc but $50 for a bag is frustrating when we were certain it was delivered. read more

Overall we were happy with them. We rented wine glasses, silverware and plates for my wife's birthday party. However, they charged us for 2 missing wine glasses. We are positive no wine glasses were broken nor have we found any since the party. My wife unpacked everything before the party and re-packed everything after the party. The same number of wine glasses before and after. *** the mistake I made was just dropping everything off without having them go through it with me watching. this means if we use them again we have to go through the pain of counting everything before we use it, and counting everything before we return it, and then making them count it once we do return it. yes, it'll be a complete waste of time but there's really no other way to prevent them from saying we lost something after the fact. read more

Our representative, Kevin Rufert, did a great job in keeping up with the constant changes to our orders. As our guest count fluctuated, so did the amount of equipment we required. Kevin promptly issued me a new quote each time we made a change, which helped us out immensely. They delivered everything on time, which was crucial to our plans. The staff at Grand Event Rentals was great to work with. I love that they honored their discount from the Seattle Wedding Show and I was able to submit my quote online and was followed up with via email. The booking process was easy and I LOVED that I could pick up for my Sunday wedding on Saturday and drop off on Monday without being charged a surcharge. My only "complaint" would be that they offered several items on their website that were what I preferred for our wedding but was later told they don't have those items. Wouldn't it make more sense to remove them then? We were able to make do with the substitutes but they would certainly be a vendor I would work with in the future if it were ever necessary. read more

You can see it took them over 2 months to even respond to my review here. Everything they wrote is complete lies. They made up different pricing after the fact - that was never shown on any estimate or my final bill- to try and justify "discounts and courtesies and reimbursements." I never received any of them. As someone who has worked in events for 8 years, I can honestly say they are the worst company I have ever worked with. Zero customer service... they couldnt even fulfill my basic order of 60 pint glasses! If you want stress, headaches, and prices that are barely cheaper than their competitors, go ahead and use them. I think a couple cents more per item is definitely worth not having to deal with this company. They made my wedding an awful experience for my guests and not only didnt care and didnt make anything right, they have the nerve to get on here and lie about what they did. AVOID! Shame on me for not reading the previous comments before signing any contract with this company. Piss poor customer service is more like it! I'm sorry (not really) but I work in customer service, that being said customer service IS EXTREMELY important to me. I feel as if the ladies that work there (with the exception of the girl who had worked there for only3 weeks when I was being helped) are all miserable and misery loves company. They have absolutely no sympathy for anyone and they just out right suck at their jobs. When you're dealing with someone who is stressed and planning a wedding there are things you say and things you simply don't. I hate to personally attack them, but their service is just horrid! It has nothing to do with policies, its all in the deliverance of how you tell someone. These women need training. I wish that I could single them out, but no one even says their name when they answer the phone. I called this morning after returning from my honeymoon to voice a concern and the response I received... "There's nothing I can do about that now. You would've needed to call that day unfortunately." What bride stops her wedding to report such a thing? And what bride calls a rental company during her honeymoon (from another country I might add)? The chair cushions I received stated that they would be ivory, then she tells me the colors of the cushions vary. Well seeing that, that is not in the contract and the chairs are $8.50 per chair, I'm pretty upset! I have never and I do mean NEVER used Yelp to bad mouth any organization, but between the extremely poor customer service and the horrible business, I have made an exception. They were on time and everything was exactly as requested! I have no complaints after working with GER for our August wedding.

My company event was on Saturday 9/19/15. I had a tent site inspector come our from GER come out the Wednesday before to measure and pick the right spot along with my contact info and estimated time of arrival on Saturday. I was told that I would get a call about an hour before they arrived since it was at a closed business. I never got a call that day, rather they had been calling my office number. Finally i get there only to find they are setting the tent up in the wrong area. The guy whips out his cell phone and shows me the picture that was sent to him....I didn't do that. So who did?? I asked them to move it, which they did thankfully. I had to leave to do a couple of errands for the party and they said they would call when the chairs and tables got there. That didn't happen. I had to text to find out what was taking so long only to find out they a had already set everything up without telling me the rest of the equipment was there. They leave and I go to plug the lights in 15 minutes later.....and 5 lights bulbs are out of my globe strands. I call the guy back to ask if he tested them before he left...he said he did and he did his job...to call the companay with any problems as it was no loonger his and hung up. Wow. HE LIED TO ME. 3 of the bulbs were actually MISSING from the globes!! I frantically call the 2 emergency numbers, leave voicemails as well as the main GER number and also end up leavign a voicemail. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK YET. I have even messaged them on their website. On Sunday, they said they would be by after 2 pm to break down and wouls call me if it changed. I had left some decorations there knowing I would be back in the am before they got there. I get a TEXT at 10am sayign that they are almost finished breaking down the site and that they had "put my things aside". I get there and that meant "your stuff in in the trash". These were resusable items that my company paid for. NOT COOL!! The quote and site was easy enough to get...but that was all! Go somewhere else, I know our company as well as me personally will. read more

As other people have posted, DO NOT USE, they will scam you! Even after reading reviews I decided to use them for my wedding because I had a coupon which made them cheaper than other places, but you get what you pay for. They make their money back by charging you for "lost" and "broken" dishes that you didn't loose or break. My wedding coordinator accounted for every single dish when they came to pick everything up. They loaded everything onto a large truck and when my coordinator asked if they were going to count the dishes they said it was "company policy" to count the dishes after they've been unloaded and washed at the warehouse! Well conveniently by the time the dishes were counted many were lost and broken by them but ended up on my invoice anyway. Great business model. read more

If you know what's good for you, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I rented gold chargers from them back in April and I got and email and phone call from them yesterday Dec 18th saying my account is past due $5.50 for a chipped gold charger and that they are sending me to collections. First of all how are you notifying me now 8 months later about a charge that happened a longtime ago and second how do I even know that charger chipped at my expense and not at a different event and now they want to charge me. Also my wedding planner check them and did not see a chip, so how do I know it's didn't chip when it got to their warehouse. I called them and spoke to a Jill, OMG- the rudest female I have ever dealt with. She screamed at me on the phone and told me she doesn't have time to call people and that if I don't pay they will send me to collections. I will not be paying this past due charge and It's not about the money about the fact that this company is horrible and I question their integrity. I left a message for the owner Eddy and I swear if he can not take care of this and they send me to collections, I will be suing them. They are a scam and stay away. The headache is not worth it. Go with AA Rentals instead, they are more professional and have great customer service. read more

It all seemed good to start, the customer service was ok and it was less expensive than other places we looked at for curtains for out wedding. DO NOT use them for your wedding, turned out to be one of the biggest stressors in the days surrounding the wedding, which is not what you want. After getting an email that said everything had been worked out I got a very rude phone call from Grand events asking if I could give them permission to install the curtains then otherwise it would be another $100. The curtains ended up having stains I could see in my pictures, and I ended up wishing we didn't get curtains at all... could have saved a lot of money. read more

The set up up of the tent - the delivery of the table and chairs and the removal of all the equipment at the end was seamless. Did I mention that the tent and lights were beautiful. We used Grand Event Rentals for our wedding because they had decent reviews and prices for the things we were looking to rent. When all was said and done, everything turned out okay and we were happy with what we got. Pick up and drop off were easy enough and everyone that worked there was nice. However, the reason I am giving it 3-stars is due to the customer service leading up to our wedding. We went in and met with one of the girls that work there, told her everything we wanted, picked out colors, etc. She wrote it all down and told us she would email us the quote. When I received the quote, I went through it and noticed that not only were things missing, all of our napkins were the wrong color. When I emailed her back to tell her these things, she said "Yeah, we were are out of that item and we are also out of the color napkins you want." Now, I get that this stuff happens, but don't you think this is something that should have been included in the email??? Like, hey, we are out of this color napkin, so I replaced them with something else I thought would look good, please let me know if that's okay. We are also out of "X", but we have "Y" if you want that instead. Don't just email me the quote with stuff changed and no explanation. Or why not tell me when I'm at the shop so that we can pick a different color? It took like 6 or 7 back and forth emails to get everything right. Once everything was set, it was fine, but it was a frustrating process. read more

The website was extremely easy to use and they had great pricing on tables and chairs too, so there was no need to shop around. This is our first experience in renting items for an event and GE made our experience hassle free from the online confirmation to the quick reply to our questions. Delivery and pickup were on schedule. The chairs were wrapped in plastic and clean the tables were also clean and solid. Our rentals from Grand Event Rentals were the ultimate test of a company. We were having an outdoor wedding at a private residence on San Juan Island. The challenges of a sloping yard, setting up delivery to an island, and the Washington state ferries were no problem for them. They had done a site visit ahead to look at the property (not something all companies do, especially with travel to the San Juans). They delivered the Thursday before the Saturday wedding and I was very impressed with how efficient and knowledgeable they were setting up. They set up a 30' x 50' tent with liner and leg drapes and chandeliers, as well as a dance floor, and another tent for the dance floor. It was obvious all they guys knew what they were doing. One of the guys tied beautiful bows on the leg drapes (something I could not duplicate). All the linens, tables, chairs, plates, the arch, dance floor, tents, and chandelier came as ordered, in great condition. Pick up went smoothly as well. From the request for pricing, ordering, changing the order, delivery and pick up, everyone was very friendly, professional, helpful, hard working, and efficient. They were great for my brothers wedding, however their vendor booth at the Seattle expo was severely lacking a professional salesman.

I wouldn't use this company if my life depended on it. When my son and his wife got married they used GER. They were getting married a bit earlier in the day so they had to pay extra to have an early delivery. GER was over an hour late and actually arrived after their earliest normal delivery time. We called when they were so late and got an apology and were told that they would not be charged the early delivery fee, which seemed obvious. Then the coffee pot didn't work and leaked all over too. They delivered a new one and we were told they would get a discount for the trouble. One of the plastic charger plates was also already cracked when we unpacked everything , which I told them when I personally dropped off the rentals the next day. I was told not to worry about it. Later they got their bill, still charged the early delivery fee, no discount for the broken coffee pot, and they charged them for the broken charger despite it already being broken and being told not to worry about it. read more

PLEASE READ!!!! Do NOT rent from this company, go to sweetbuffetlady.com! Their prices are way better and Wendy is an absolute sweetheart. "Jennifer" took in my order for my wedding and the entire state of Washington doesn't have 24" table runners which I NEEDED so I agreed to $21 each for 9. If they didn't have the 24", I would've got them from Wendy for $2 for the 12" ones. They delivered the 12" ones 2 hours before my wedding so I had no time to change it and I e-mailed them later that night and told them I wanted a refund. They refunded me "the difference" between the 12" and 24", NO I WANT A FULL REFUND! My contract STATES I purchased the 24", NOT the 12". I don't care if you sent me the wrong ones, I didn't get the RIGHT ones so I want a full refund. They refused when THEY messed up! Same exact thing as buying an iPhone 6, get sent an iPhone 3 then the seller says "they'll refund the difference." IT IS NOT OKAY, IT IS NOT FAIR, IT IS SCAMMING! BUY FROM SWEETBUFFETLADY, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! They ended up making $100 from me because they love to scam your money! Grand Events Rentals was great! I worked with Jill, but I'm certain that you would get the same service from any of their reps. From our first contact with them, through the event, they were responsive and very good on their follow through. (We had contacted another rental company three times with no call back.) The tent was set up in good time and everything we ordered was there and accounted for. Some of the tables were a little worse for wear, but with the linens on, it didn't matter. The linens were in good shape. We paid extra to have them string the twinkle lights along the tent frame - that is well worth the money! The dance floor was very nice and we didn't find it high-priced at all compared to others we had looked at. I might have been able to save a little bit by going through different vendors for different items, but I liked having one company deliver and pick up everything. The tent came two days before the event, so there was plenty of time to decorate and was picked up two days after the event, so there was plenty of time to take down. All in all, we are very pleased and I highly recommend this company. read more
