The room we stayed in was nice but we made the mistake of going to the sales presentation. It was a bad experience, we were told it would be 90-120 minutes and it was 3.5 hours before we were "released" with our free show tickets. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of one is because the room was very nice and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Had I not gone on the sales presentation I'd give it 4 stars. I've been on dozens of timeshare presentations and this one is now in the top 3 worst experiences. read more

The Grand Crowne Resort was the only option for us through interval international at the time we wanted to stay April 7 through the 14th 2024. On the homepage of the website, it boasts that they are just a short walk from the city's top attractions. The closest attraction, legends in concert, is about 1.6 miles away and a 37 minute walk. The road that you need to walk on doesn't have a sidewalk, path, or shoulder. It has rolling hills and curves. Making a left hand turn onto it can be challenging. I think walking along it would be a bit death-defying. Check in. We were on the road for about 11 hours with breaks. After you get your room assigned, you were told to go to a little room to get your parking pass. This is where they want to sell you a timeshare. I don't know about you, but the first thing I think about after driving 11 hours is buying a timeshare. I told the first person that we didn't have any interest in it. She brought in another guy I told him we didn't have any interest. He said they were different and that they had a written guarantee not to pressure you. I told him that I've already said no to you and someone else and we're still going. He said well, I had to dry. You would think this would be the end of it. However, I received a call Monday, Tuesday, and two calls on Wednesday. They use the premise of we're just checking up on your visit to see if you have everything or on Wednesday they wanted to know when we were going to check out. The checkout day is Sunday. I had to go visit their office again to tell them that I wasn't interested and to stop calling me. Thankfully, the calls stopped. Housekeeping and maintenance. The room has a pull out couch for sleeping. We tried to find the sheets for it but we're unable to locate them. I requested sheets and never received any. There is a fitness center and pool. There are towels in the fitness center, but not in the pool area. We were told that our towels for the pool were on top of the dryer. There were none. There was no dishwashing soap. We are caught in a rainstorm. When we used the dryer for some of our things, there was a loud banging sound. The lint trap and its cover had come loose or were loose. I tried to put it back together and was unable to. Toilet number one probably needs a flapper valve. It seems to randomly run. Toilet number two is loose and rocks when you're sitting on it. If you use the shower, make sure you put a towel on the door. The towel rack is located on the wall. If you open the shower door, you will cover up the towel rack. Which means you have to get completely out of the way of the shower door and close it to access the towels. Part of the door sweep on the front door is missing, leaving a fairly large hole. You can see the sun coming through. On day one when we arrived home we saw ants coming in through the hole. On day two we noticed that there were ants on the kitchen counter. We called maintenance. They sent two guys to spray. They sprayed from the doorway all the way along the carpet, approximately 15 feet over the countertop around the dishwasher and around our paper towels, paper plates, and paper bowls. this left us with puddles of ant poison and ant debris. We were left with the cleanup of our kitchen and floors. We were also concerned about ingesting some of the poison. It seems logical that you would move guests out of a room, take care of the problem, and clean up. read more

This place is so DIRTY!!! We checked in on August 21st and we're given keys to building 2, rooms 203 A & B. As soon as we walked in I could see crumbs and debris on the floors, it looked like someone had swept everything to be baseboards and didn't bother picking it up. Really gross. We put our luggage in the bedroom and noticed everything, including the horribly stained carpet, was incredibly outdated. Ok I can live with that. Walked into the kitchen to throw something away and the trash can was completely full. Disgusting. Went into the bathroom and looked at the tub, black feet prints and soap scum around tub. The wall by the counter in the kitchen was so filthy with dirt probably from dirty shoes and one of the beige barstools had what looked like red wine spilled all over it. Now, I'm super annoyed. We checked out the other unit, because we had family joining us. Their trash had not been emptied either and there was a large disgusting mark or stain on the comforter on the bed. That was the last straw. I called housekeeping and they said they were going to send up their "best cleaning crew". A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. I opened the door and standing before me was a very young female and male. If I had to guess, I'd say they were maybe 19 years old. They came in and looked around and offered us a "newly renovated room" in building 12. We took the new room and it was a little cleaner but still had handprints all over the mirror in the living room, dirty dishes in the cabinets and the silverware drawer had lot of food droppings and was so gross. I ended up putting all the dishes through the dishwasher before anything was used. The new unit had a thick layer of dust all over the tv stand, night stands and the top of the lamps. You could literally write in the dust it was so thick. The second unit had a dirty bathroom, when you walked in you could see a black ring where the water sprays in the toilet; like the toilet doesn't get brushed or bleached. Whole place needs updated. We were there for 4 nights at Christmas 2020. Not very friendly, especially the maintenance guys. Rude. We had toilet problems and the maintenance guy told me that he didn't have to plunge the toilet due to COVID. Really!! So we now have to perform maintenance, so I had to plunge the toilet. They will not make up the beds or clean the room at all. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. read more

The rooms are nice but the people that run it can ruin your whole vacation. Starting with you are told that you can check in at 4pm but they forget to tell you it can take between 6 and 6:30 to get room ready. First room they gave us wasn't even clean so they final found one that was clean. Then they try charging you extra after you have already checked you in. Like 2 days later. Didn't work. Go to room can't get in keys don't work so you got to go back down and get more keys. Then we decide to go to some shows well we ask to go to one show and they sold us the wrong tickets, next day they called to tell us we owed more money on tickets. we explain they sold us the wrong tickets. He told us to go down and get a refund, The guy down there told we have to do a tour of there properties to get a refund. We do not do time share and we explained that to him an he got mad. Oh he also changed our card for the wrong show that they knew was their mistake. We travel a lot but their service was the worst of all. We got upset every time we had contact with the resort office. read more

We stay here every time we are in Branson. The sitting area is huge, as is the bedroom. My daughter loves the private hot tub. If we are in the condo, that's where she is. The staff has always been very friendly to us. There are pools and a playground but we have never used them. When we are in vacation we don't stay at the condo much to use all the things they have. With a last minute redemption with our resort timeshare, we were able to score a '3 bedroom' unit here which was HUGE mostly because it was 3 units with doors that opened up to each other. We stayed in building 2, which was a little outdated (small flat screen tvs) but overall decent. So, we had 3 bedrooms (queen/king beds), 3 living rooms with leather couches with pullout beds (so a total of 6 beds that could have slept 12 people comfortable), 5 bathrooms (3 full and 2 half ones), 3 washer/dryer sets, 3 kitchens, 3 dining rooms, 2 balconies! The indoor pool is comfortable with two hot tubs (although our unit came with two hot tubs, too!) and there is a great activities center with plenty of stuff to do, fitness center, game room. My kids loved being able to check out puzzles, games, and dvds to play with, including pool noodles for the pool! It is a great location and super close to the Branson strip with plenty of eats, shopping, and shows! read more

This was a very nice place to stay. The staff were all so friendly. We had a 3 bedroom which was literally 3 separate units with adjoining doors; which meant 3 kitchens, 6 bathrooms, 3 washers/dryers, 3 living rooms, etc. but it gave us all a chance for privacy and comfort. We stayed 7 nights. There were signs to call for midweek cleaning but when we called we were told there was a charge bc we weren't there for 8 nights. Ok. So we just swapped out our towels and blankets for fresh ones at no additional cost. Two of the showers had those hand held sprayers on the wall but they were literally just taped on the wall; as one fell onto my head from off the wall as I was showering. The maintenance people came and replaced it with a regular shower head right away. And then the next day, we noticed the other shower, the same thing. Each room was fully stocked with kitchen, bathroom and cleaning supplies. The entire family enjoyed the fun crafts and looked forward to them each day. Theresa (part time craft lady) was amazing. Kind, informative and helpful with the kiddos. They need more "Theresa's" in this world. Check out was easy. No need to clean or anything. They even tell you that at check in. The park was nice but my kids didn't really like it. They loved the huge indoor pool. I thought it was cold but they didn't mind. There are two spas in there as well, but they made my skin tingle and burn so I got out. Oh! And they were remodeling many units while we were there. Stayed at the Grand Crowne Resort in Branson MO on Golfview Dr. It was soooooo great! We loved it! Pet friendly too! I got the A, B, and C units. My FIL/MIL had their dog Heidi stayed in one of the units. My hubby, our dog and myself, along with our two friends and their dog stayed in the larger B unit, and my Papa had his own unit in the C. All of the units had private bedrooms and kitchens. The B unit had the main kitchen and dining room where we would all come together to eat or play games. Each Unit has a living room, laundry, and dishwasher etc. It was really great. Indoor pool and close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay there and with over 2,000 sq ft for all of us and our dogs, we really couldn't ask for more! read more

So these guys called up my wife out of the blue, telling her "Surprise! You've won a vacation package!" She was naturally surprised and they told her about the options she could take. After she picked then they started their predatory tactics of telling her she needed to pay $300 up front to lock in her package and pay for the taxes and paperwork. She tried to delay and call me, but then they swooped in and told her if she didn't pay right there and then that she would have to forfeit the package. After this scammy transaction, she called me and told me about it. At first I was really suspicious about the "pay me now, or else" tatic. After doing some research on Grand Crown Resorts, it turns it it's a Time Share. Nowhere in the call did the mention she was buiyng a Time Share. So when I called them up, Asking to cancel, I was directed to a "Gina." Who knows if this is a real person becuase they never answered their phone, and never returned my several calls. I've had to call my credit card company and reverse the charge. Do not waste your time with these folks since they will tell you ANYTHING to take your money from you. After reading reviews of this resort from other sites, I hear it's not really a nice place at all. STAY AWAY. read more

I chose to stay at this location (the Grand Crowne Resort-but the front desk assists ALL of the Surrey/Grand Crowne resorts in this area so you'll receive the same service no matter where you stay) as a part of Interval International exchange. Less than a week before arrival I called Grand Crown Resorts to secure a crib and high chair for my 14-month old. I did NOT call Interval. Check-in was at 4. After driving 21 hours over 3 days (I live in South Florida) my sister, 4-year old niece, 14-month old daughter and I arrived at 7 PM. I saw on the folder they had the word 'crib.' I mentioned to the person checking me in that I also needed a high chair. He said they may not have EITHER available as they are first-come, first-serve. (As I found out later he didn't even know they don't have high chairs.) I asked what constitutes 'first-come, first-serve'-phone or check-in? He replied check in. I said I requested them over the phone and nobody told me that and that I wanted to speak to someone in charge. Basically, their manager-on-duty, a blonde named Christine L. said they don't even have high chairs and the cribs are first-come, first-serve and that this is a common issue there. She also picked up a brochure and said I could rent a crib for only ten dollars a night. She tried to blame Interval until I repeated that I called Grand Crowne's phone number. She then said, "Over 500 people answer that number." I said, "Well, they should ALL be trained to say cribs can't be guaranteed and they don't even have high chairs." I suggested upgrading to a 2-bedroom. Yes, she said. At my cost. I suggested calling Interval since I booked through them. Of course they were closed since it was a Sunday night at 7 PM. (I'm sure she already knew that.) I gave her the folder and said I would be back. I tried calling where I already own to see if by some chance the Interval representative would be there. The office was closed. I chose to go back in because my hands were tied. I went back inside and said I would contact her company's headquarters, Interval International and the Better Business Bureau. She said, with her ongoing smile, to do what I needed to do. I said her only suggestions were to spend more money, something I couldn't do. She denied that and said she had only been civil. I said I didn't deny that but that also wasn't what I stated. My family and I get to my room and lo and behold what is in it? A pack-and-play! I'm not sure if this is their version of a crib but if it is this just goes to show how idiotic management is at this place! There was one present the whole time! (BTW the next day concierge called and even confirmed that I had requested a crib and high chair. This just confirms that nobody told me high chairs weren't available.) As far as cleanliness is concerned judge for yourself: my daughter is a knee-walker. That means she walks on her knees. If a floor is dirty her knees and the tops of her feet will get dirty. Within 15 minutes of being in our room in a BRAND NEW BUILDING the tops of her feet were BLACK! She is normally pale as a ghost. A few other gripes: the dish detergent never created suds, we had to readjust the TV stand in the main room so the door wouldn't keep closing, they only left one spare roll of toilet paper for two toilets, getting online was challenging (if you aren't tech-savvy, forget it), amenities are minimum. Maybe I'm spoiled because I own at Sheraton-Vistana. Yes, I've had my gripes with them over the last 11 years but customer service was never this horrible. If I needed a crib with them, I got it. If they couldn't promise something, I was told that. Maybe I was treated this way at Grand Crowne because I wasn't an owner, potential owner, but just an exchanger. I don't know. But I feel like my $149 exchange fee was wasted on this place. Ironically they have a Bible opened up to Proverbs in the bedroom and a card with a prayer placed in the kitchen. I don't know if this is a faith-based company but if it is they need to re-evaluate some of the behaviors of their employees. BTW...there is a Wal-Mart within reach if you have to buy things they don't provide. That's where I had to buy my 2nd travel high chair. I already have one at home. I left it there because I was told I'd have one at the resort. read more

We stayed at Grande Crowne Resort two nights in July, 2016. We booked the stay through hotels.com and paid in full in advance. Our confirmation email advised us to check in at an offsite location... but when we arrived a sign on the door of the building told us to go to ANOTHER off site location. Arriving at location #2... yet another sign directed us back to the property itself. At this point we'd been driving 5 hours.. and there was a small caravan of cars popping up at each site in the same predicament we were. We laughed it off and went to the condo front desk hoping to get our keys... get out of the car with our kids and get settled. We stood... and stood.. and stood some more while the front desk supervisor in front of us handled complaint call after complaint call before checking us in. We told her we had just driven around unecessarily for 30 minutes to offisite locations and whether this mistake was through hotels.com or Grand Crowne... they may want to be aware travelers are being advised incorrectly. Several families checking in near us were quite frustrated by this... again we were happy we'd finally arrived and excited to start our weekend. We arrived at approximately 5pm on a Friday evening. We stayed two nights until Sunday morning. Our final morning... at 715am... our almost 2 year old must have woken up with a bad dream, or unfamiliar with his surroundings. He called out for "Mommy... Daddy" a few times and I went to his crib, rubbed his back a few minutes thinking he'd fall back asleep for a bit before our busy day. He was unsettled, whimpering a bit and crying for no more than 5 to maybe 8 minutes... 8 really pushing it. We have five children age 18 to 2.... the three youngest on this trip. We know how to parent and console a scared child. When it was clear he wanted up to play we headed to the kitchen to start breakfast... our toddler playing happily eating his cereal and pitter pattering along the tile floor. I started to get in the shower by 7:40am when an obnoxious banging began on our door. I advised our 15 year old to answer it... mistakenly thinking it was housekeeping... and she would poke her head out and advise we were checking out in a hour. No... it was Grand Crowne management and a uniformed security officer banging down our down screaming "SECURITY" because according to them... complaints had been called in about the noise from our condo. They never asked to speak to a parent... berated our 15 year old standing there in a night shirt. Again... my mistake for allowing her to answer the door, thinking it was housekeeping. They threatened to EVICT us for the noise level. She was shaken up by their speal... handled it quietly and repeated it for us after they left. Our teenager and 8 year old were nearly in a panic after the encounter asking why we were getting kicked out! My husband and I dressed immediately and went to the front desk. We honestly thought there must be a misunderstanding. Manager Larry Moore was not thrilled to speak with us... we simply said we were the parents in Building 7 and wanted to verify what had just happened. He validated it... and told us if the NOISE LEVEL didn't go down yes, we would be asked to to leave. He repeated over and over that quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. The implication, although not overtly stated... was that we were inattentive parents that let our toddler scream his head off all morning. Not the case at all, but again we were never asked for the facts, or even spoken to as parents, before all the eviction threats came at our teenager. All of this... an hour before we were due to check out anyway. We have two major points of confusion on how we were treated by Grand Crowne management: Our 2 year old woke scared at 7:15am. We are really sorry, Grand Crowne, that his sleep schedule our last morning did not fit within your supposed "quiet hours." We handled the fussiness swiftly and effectively. If you had taken time to assess the situation before banging down our door.. waking our other children and scaring the crap out of everyone... you would have heard nothing. You might have actually heard a happy little kid toddling around the tile floor singing songs, jibber jabbering and eating his cheerios. This... can get us evicted? Why do you have a playground, pools and kids activities scheduled daily if you are not going to be welcoming to families? His crying was no more than 5 minutes, with a parent rubbing his back consoling him. Do you take every "complaint" so seriously that you could not even let us discuss our side with you before threatening to kick us out?? Unreal. TO be Continued.... read more

We were in a lock-off and were on the C side. Be aware that most units are lock-offs here, with A-B and sometimes C units. Our one bedroom Bldg2 unit 401C was spacious, but the appiontments were cheap and cheesy. They put up a solid concrete structure but went cheap with just a basic build-out. The people in the B side were extremely noisy and left AT 4AM on a Sunday morning!!! It sounded like they were remodeling the place and I actually had to get dressed and go tell them to be quiet. We did not enjoy our stay due to noise issues and will not be back. This is very common with cheap build-outs... the noise from kids, adults, water pipes, etc is endless. If you are reading this PLEASE have some manners and tread lightly when you travel. There is never a need to slam anything or talk loudly inside your own unit. Don't walk around in hard soled shoes... everyone can hear it. And keep your kids QUIET! The basics: The golf course location was nice. The check in and check out were efficient, but I skipped getting a parking pass and talking to the high pressure scam artist they call a concierge at timeshares. : ) The shower in our unit was a bit weak. The internet was easy to access and quick enough. The bed was comfortable. read more

Just heading home from our 2nd stay at GC resort in Branson. We stayed in the same bldg 2 years ago and had a VERY different experience. THIS time it was not so pleasant: The hotel RAN OUT of clean towels so many guests literally crossed the street to BUY them at a t-shirt shop. The Fun Spot, front desk, housekeeping staff, and Water Park were horribly understaffed. No one touched our room for 3 of the 4 days we were there. I had to beg for towels. Seriously inadequate supervision at the Water Park. I'm afraid there are many accidents waiting to happen in there. Speaking of the Water Park... mold was growing all over the decks. Perfect conditions as it's very warm, always damp, with no fresh air circulating. We did love the evening show. That and the outdoor mini golf were our highlights. All in all we dropped just shy of $1000 for 4 days by the time we paid for the room ($650 Spring Break Special), food, game cards, souvenirs, etc. Upon leaving a local told us that the place doesn't bring in the Spring Break 'staff' until April 1st, accounting for the lack all over. She went into more detail about the bussed in help, but I won't go into that...... Make an informed decision consumers. read more

We have a timeshare in Virginia but we paid extra to exchange it and come here. I'm sure it was really nice once but it is old and run down now, really needs renovated. The place was dirty and uncleaned, mold on thing in cabinet, old food and trash on floor, tubs and showers full of hair and dirt. The carpet is filthy and our socks turned black after 5 mins of walking on it (after that we wore our shoes inside at all times). Then the fire sprinkler started pouring out water in the middle of the kitchen and we had to keep a trash can under it to catch it. They said they would find the leak and be back later to dry out the ceiling but never came back. To top it all off, they gave us two rolls of toilet paper when we first checked in and of course with a 8 day long stay we ran out, they told us we had to buy our own toilet paper if we need more! What hotel doesn't provide toilet paper!? read more

I did a time share exchange with this resort because I wanted to go somewhere nearby that I can drive to; it was a five hour drive from where I live, but it was worth it. A lot of my friends discouraged me from going to Branson because they said my two young sons would not enjoy their stay there. Granted, the town is very old and seems to cater more to older couples, my sons still had a great time seeing the caverns, watching the chinese acrobats, and being somewhere different. The resort is at a local country club and our room had a great view of the golf course. We had the three bedroom unit; each unit was actually a complete condo with kitchen, bathroom, washing machines, living room, etc. They were separated by adjoining doors, but the doors unlocked in our case. So, it was just me and my two sons, 10 and 6 years old, with this great big home to ourselves! We didn't what to do. Two of the condos had an awesome and large whirlpool tub in the bedroom, so we made sure we made good use of those! We came in the off season, so the lady at the check put us in the newer units as requested; the rooms were perfect, new, clean, and well decorated; pure luxury. We were relaxed the whole week. The wi-fi was weak; it had a very weak signal and advertisements kept popping every five minutes and really slowed down browsing; they should work on this because the McDonald's downt he street had perfect wi-fi. The indoor pool was nice and large; only problem was they didn't spend the money to keep it well heated; it was heated, but not to the comfort level a resort should be. I'm going to give it four stars since it was still a nice resort; probably the best in Branson. As for the five hour drive, well the jury is still out on that one since the lovely Michigan beaches are only an hour and a half away. If you're looking to see some good shows and something different like the caverns, then Branson at this resort is the way to go. read more

First time to use our timeshare. Plain decoration in the room. Mixer, coffee maker, and oven broken. Mattress in fold out couch was not able to be slept on. Will be getting rid of this thing as soon as possible. I would compare it to a Motel 6 with a kitchen. read more
