I eat here fairly often. The buffet is pretty good, though it's almost always the same thing. They have a good hibachi/ Mongolian bbq bar as well as normal Chinese stuff. The sushi is only fair. Everything else is good to excellent. Better than average for a buffet. Service is okay, and ambiance the same as every other Chinese restaurant. This place has been here forever and it's a solid Chinese buffet. Don't come expecting fine dining - the booths are a bit dated as well as the decor, but the food is on point. It's always refreshed, they have sushi and hibachi options also. I particularly enjoy the frog legs and peanut chicken. Waitress is always friendly and keeps your drinks full. Not a better deal in Pace for under $15 a plate (kids are less based on age). Plenty of desserts to chose from including ice cream. read more

I recently ate at the Grand Buffet. The place was clean and service along with the prices were decent. The Hibachi grill is probably the best part of the deal where you choose your raw food and the hibachi cook prepares it for you on the spot. Only issue I had here was the very nice hibachi cook was Hispanic and didn't speak a word of English so trying to get something cooked a certain way was almost impossible. There were a lot of buffet options on the bars but I personally didn't care for the flavors here. I doubt I would ever eat there again only because there are several better Asian buffets in the area. The food here is horrible!!! My first bite of stuffed shrimp had to be spit out. Temperature of the food was luke warm. I tried a bite of the sushi...YUCK!! While all the servers, except the hostess, were extremely nice, that doesn't make up for the food. My husband paid our bill at the front. We were grateful they were open on Christmas. Buffet was two was just under $20. The food was what you paid for. The fried rice was bland, but edible. The items from the buffet I enjoyed were the sweet and sour chicken, without the sauce. It looked dark and dried out, but it was good. The house chicken was good, but there was barely any in the pan; it was never restocked while we were there. The spring rolls were ok. The ice cream was very yummy. Didn't try the sushi, it looked sketchy. The service was very friendly. Restaurant was dark and table wobbled. Again, it was less then $20 for two people. I got UberEats delivery. My food purchase was $60, with delivery fee, tax and tip, it was $101. I have NO problem paying that much if my food was edible!! Not one of the three of us could eat any of it. We ordered Orange chicken, egg foo young, beef Lo mein, Generals chicken & Mongolian beef to share. The egg foo young was the only thing swallowable! Have come here twice now, last night (Tuesday at 6 pm) being the second time. We came twice to see if the first time was a fluke or if it truly was just that bad. Everything was luke warm or even to the point of being cold. Most food items looked like the plastic display models at carnivals and fairs. You would need an ice pick and a blow torch just to cut through the top layer of the "soups" they had on "display". The meat on the hibachi bar looked so foul I was afraid as to what it even was. The "beef" didn't even form to each other like normal beef would lay in a tray if you set it out, rather each piece was rigid and an odd beat looking color. The chicken you could tell had been sitting out before the question of if the egg came before the chicken. Everything was just vile in appearance. I tried to snap some pictures while I was there, but one of the little children who was running around the joint presumably one of the staffs children) caught me snapping pictures and told on me. Haha. The flavor of the few things I found that didn't appear to be made before the Chinese inquisition was decent but even then only maybe a 2, in terms of ranking. The staff is incredibly unfriendly; I don't know if it's a language barrier or just flat out being rude. We walked in and said hello, and the lady just stood there on her phone, while the young man next to her played on his phone with (I'm assuming) his child; whom he had at his workplace? After about 3-4 minutes we were finally acknowledged with a "how many?" And then brought to our table. Throughout the meal there was never a "thank you, please, hello, how are you" or any other basic form of communication. The only good part of the entire meal was the Hershey's ice cream that they had tucked in a little corner. But the ice cream scoops were sitting in a water that looked like it was fermenting, because the faucet was not kept running. I made sure to turn it on full blast as to try and rid what ever Loch Ness monster was swimming beneath the surface. We've come several times for weeknight dinner but have yet to come for lunch. The restaurant is quiet and not so busy, but I have never had an issue with the food. It's always been hot, tasty, and cooked correctly. They have a large selection of traditional Chinese buffet foods: general tso's chicken, lo mein, Fried rice, a variety of soups; the standard "American" table of fries, chicken wings, etc., a large dessert stand filled with fruits, puddings, cakes, and ice cream; and the best part: fresh meats and vegetables to give to a Hibachi chef to cook for you. It's very interesting to read these older reviews as I can only expect this place to have changed a lot. They offer hibachi with their buffet which is usually the main thing I go for. Beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, krab (yeah fake) are the options for their hibachi. Including multiple vegetables and 2 types of noodles. The buffet by itself is okay - I didn't notice lukewarm food at all, it's been warm every time I've been (5 to 6x now). The people working there have always been friendly to me as well. I have came to this location prior with no issue but after today I will not anymore. I came In get a togo lunch which I usually do. As I am getting food a lady comes from the back and approached me. She points directly into my food box to let me know sushi must be paid for separate. She had on NO GLOVES OR MASK. And she proceeded to point inside my box directly at my sushi. At that point I was disgusted and I left the box in the front. We are still in a pandemic that was beyond disgusting and I hope employees are eventually trained on how food safety works. Other Chinese Buffets in the area are better - China Sea in Milton, and there's another down 90 over the bridge in Pensacola. I'm vacillating between two and three stars for this place. There is a huge variety of things to eat, but there wasn't much of any one thing. Each steam table pan held about a plate's-worth of food, but, of course, most people take a little of several different selections. Nothing was piping hot, except the hot and sour soup, which had a pronounced scorched taste. Other dishes were tepid, and the chicken wings were cool. I take that back...if you trolled the buffet with aplomb, you could catch a sizzling spring or egg roll, but whoopee...both of those were completely meatless and 98% shredded cabbage. I saw a sliver of carrot every third bite, but everything else was plain cabbage. The selections were very chicken oriented. There was one beef dish, with not much beef. I don't remember a pork dish. There were a few shrimp selections and a baked fish. A couple of fake "crab" dishes, too. There is a do-it-yourself hibachi bar, where you assemble a plate of raw ingredients and they'll cook it for you. That's included in the cost of the buffet, but I didn't have time for that. Nobody else did, either, that I witnessed. It was Sunday evening and not very busy, which may be a different situation than normal. It was clean and the staff was the usual, reticent help that you find in Chinese eateries. Not friendly, really, but not overtly rude. Efficient, I suppose. I'd go back on a busier night, just to see if the buffet is refilled better. I'd also like to try the hibachi thing. But the spring and egg rolls suck. Put some other stuff in those things! Meat, especially. Three stars instead of two, just because it was after 8 on a Sunday night and that's probably not a representative visit. read more

We were in town today, a Sunday. While the food was nothing spectacular, we were impressed that the food on the buffet was fresh at mid afternoon (around 345 pm). The hibachi chef prepared my hibachi order perfectly. Most hibachi chefs go "too far" and the food will taste charred. My vegetable plate retained is crispy texture and didn't taste charred at all. I seasoned with ginger and garlic sauce which proved to be a great combination!! The wait staff was very friendly and attentive to our table. The cashier was friendly and pleasant. Would we go back? I didn't eat anything from the hibachi or sushi bar though. I have a complaint but not a complaint only about this place. Why don't Chinese restaurants have good desserts? I can't even rank this restaurant any longer. They used to have decent food as buffets go, and decent service. However, tonight I was seated by a rude 4 year old, and then caught her touching the food on the buffet with her hands and putting it back. I have seen them dump their dirty water in the stream out back and the tables always feel like there are 3 or so layers of grime. I went up to complain to the manager after seeing this kid touching the food, and again, no adult was at the front counter. I was greeted by said child who said "what you want?"
