We took him at his word after asking several questions to feel reassured. The trip was ruined when we arrived at our destination and was told the charges were $66. The miles were 23, plus one extra passenger and a start rate of $2.25. The mileage rate was $1.80 per mile. When I questioned the driver he said that was the rate. We could not see the meter it was turned away from us. We did not argue and paid the rate. Also added a $10 tip. We felt if he was right and we just had been wrong in our search of taxi rates, then we should tip. When I called the cab company the man said the rate should have been $50. He told me I had to talk with operations about the problem. When I called several times and left messages, there was no return call. I waited 8 hours. Our driver,Tommy, made certain we were aware of his locations & time of arrival with frequent texts in route. We had scheduled a 5 a.m. pick-up at our home in Benbrook. The Lincoln Navigator that he transported us in to & from DFW was very comfortable & smooth to ride in. It also had a lot of luggage room for our obscene amount of luggage (6 bags). Tommy was very polite & pleasant to converse with & got us to our departure gate in plenty of time for our international AA flight. On our return trip from DFW to home @ 9:15 p.m. he was waiting for us as we walked out of the airport terminal & had texted us to reassure us about his location. We were very pleased with the service & will certainly use them again.
