Smaller post office that is far less crowded and far faster than the main one on St Andrew St…read more Staff are helpful and knowledgable. Really efficient and much more pleasant. No self service machines just real people who are friendly and happy to help with questions and even with prepaid returns. Note that it's in the back of a convenience store, so can be missed, but seriously much less chaotic and worth the walk to avoid the long lines over on St Andrews. There is also a great ATM on the outside of the shop that doesn't breakdown half as often as the ones on the main tourist path.

They keep Euros in stock too which is useful.

If you get the wrong member of staff it seems you will be reaching for your wallet. Went in today to drop off a parcel booked through Click & Drop and it was just over the weight specified on the label. Was told my Click & Drop label was therefore invalid and I was charged over double what I had paid for the original label. I use Soham Post Office a lot more and the staff there are warm and friendly, not rude and antagonistic as I experienced at Burwell today. I've dropped the same parcel off in Soham every week and never had an issue, the one time I go to Burwell and it magically gained weight. My advice - drive to Soham, Exning or Newmarket and save yourself some cash.

The staff are nice and friendly and chatty. Be warned there is only street parking and quite a few other shops so parking can be tricky.
