For any one of my friends traveling into London I always recommend veering off a little to Carnaby. Over the years some shops have come and go but some of my favorites remain open. I'm a huge Great Frog lover and their shop is nearby, also for us rock n rollers I can't help stopping into The Rolling Stones Uk store. Lots of major branded stores but also cute local vendors and stores. It's a very walkable street and safe. Plenty busy so come earlier in the day to beat the crowds. Another pro tip is catching a reservation at dishshoom down here as I've found it easier to snag a reservation here than at their other locations. Plenty of dining options though and local stalls like Starbucks and Joe & the juice. It's a touristy street of shops but I love it - definitely bookmark this area on your must shop / see list when on this side of town.

After having a tasty snack at Pizza Pilgrims, went to the two story Rolling Stones store which was my favorite place on Carnaby Street. A bunch of boutique shops and found one bathroom and a drinking fountain. There was an old English style red phone booth containing an unspeakable object on the floor inside, good conversation piece for the rest of my trip. Welcome to London.

Luxury watch shopping in London can be a daunting task. The good news it that London is riddled…read morewith luxury watch shops, but the bad news is that they can arrogant to the point of disgust for no legitimate reason. This leads me to why I'm writing this review which is a result of the WatchClub's customer service skills. Let me provide a little bit of context as I was a repeat customer until recently. My purchase includes two great watches there -an Audemars Piquet Royal Oak with a JLC movement and and a blue Panerai Luminor which are two watches that are discontinued models. In both instances I would give a deposit for half the amount to reserve it and then come back in a 2-3 days to pay the balance in full from a debit card. For a couple reasons - reward points and to transfer money from accounts. I went in today to buy a Rolex Bruiser which is priced in line with the other two watches I purchased and wanted to buy it. I said let me provide a deposit on my Amex. However, they complained about that because Amex charges the highest fee to merchants but that is the only card I have outside of my debit card. Still, I offered to place something down on my Amex and I will be back in 2-3 days to pick it up. The sales rep, Tani, had to ask Alex the manager (I believe that's his name) and he said "no." I was shocked especially because I've bought a few watches there and even referred people. His reasoning was because that was the only one which made no sense because he was selling the watch and I've bought two watches there. Then Tani proceeded to tell me they were going to list the watch from £5,950 to £6,250 but if the watch was still available after a few days when I did my transfer then he swore to me I could have it for £5,950 which made no sense. When I heard that bait and switch I was kind of taken back because that's just a shitty customer experience to make a few hundred pounds considering they sell watches for tens of thousands of pounds. I'm not sure if this was a pressure tactic to get to buy right then and there, but it was simply a question of logistics for an existing customer. Amazing! Anyway, if anyone reads this and chooses not to buy a watch from them please let me know. I hope this review persuades someone to checkout other watch dealers in the area. As for me, I've been using www.officialwatches.com in London as they have comparable products with a slightly better price. I just purchased a JLC from them. Dino rocked! WatchClub management take some feedback from your customers and use common sense. Anyone reading this, check out my photos that show the same day rate increase. What a pathetic way to make a buck especially for a luxury boutique based in London.

I found it on Chrono24. I buy a watch seems about once a year. So I asked a couple questions and Justin got right back to me and made me feel comfortable. The pics look good and I transferred the money by bank wire and they shipped it right away. I received the watch and it was everything they said. I was very pleased and would buy another from them in the future. I love this watch! Thank you Justin Respectfully Tim McNulty

Anyways...bf was looking around for a specific strap for his watch I guess he found through their website.. They had lots of different brands of watches...I'm not a big watch person so I'm kind of going off what my bf said and he thoroughly liked the store He said he would recommend the place And as a side note...first world problems...but they didn't offer any water or anything like other watch stores we've visited before lol but that wouldn't deter us from visiting again if ever back

I have wanted a stainless, white faced Rolex Daytona for years…read more Like everyone else, I could never find one. Well, one that wasn't used or selling at a massive premium (50%) to Rolex MSRP, which is never a good feeling, so I always declined. Until one Monday afternoon my wife and I walked past the Wempe Boutique on Bond Street and just for a laugh, thought we'd take our chances and asked a question that usually elicits nothing from the person behind the counter but a smile or sarcastic remark. Except today we got a 'Let me see...' and with that, my hopes up. Then this smiling german man walks in our direction with a white face stainless, on a felt tray, a day from the factory and tells me (with a smirk on his face) that they cannot sell for more than Rolex MSRP, and that with my passport, I will also get 20% VAT back on it when I fly home to the US. My credit card practically bounced off the counter. From fitting my wrist to explaining service, even automatically calculating and filing my VAT refund in advance - the service, style and overall experience we had at Wempe was just what you expect from a legendary jeweler on Old Bond Street in Mayfair. They also seem to get strong Rolex allocation, so if you are looking for a rare or hard to find new Rolex model, this should be a good place to start. Danke.
