I didn't have the tool to adjust the straps on a couple of watches. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and adjusted the straps on both of my watches there and then and without charge. I highly recommend them and I'll be back when I need my watches servicing. read more

Was having a problem with my old Omega where I couldn't set the minutes. Thinking it was a small problem with the crown, I took the back off and couldn't get it back on. Saw the reviews about these guys, so went in (a bit sheepish) and explained my problem. 5 minutes later I walked out with a functioning watch, with the back reattached and me educated as to how to set my watch minutes. Total cost: £0.00! Yep, no charge. I have a few decent watches that will now be getting their servicing done here. Great customer service. read more

On each occasion the cost has been considerably less than I expected, far less than when I get ripped off by the repair outfit at Selfridges where I bought my watches, and on one occasion, Tim the horologist refused any payment at all. I have to give a positive "shout out" on these guys. I arrived in London needing a watch battery, which I knew before leaving home, but I also needed a new wrist band, which I did not know until after I left home. These gentlemen took good care of both in very short order (less than fifteen minutes!) and today I wear that watch with the new wrist band every day after not wearing a watch for many years. Alsal Watches has been opposite the RCJ for as long as I can remember. As a member of the Bar for over 40 years I had repairs done and watch straps replaced on many occasions. Their service has been impeccable. Always accommodating and friendly the Alsal family will leave no stone unturned to solve your horological problem. Halfway through a monthlong European holiday, I dropped my automatic Omega on the tile floor of my bathroom. Hard. When I picked it up, I was horrified to find that the hour and minute hands were spinning around freely. Ouch. I was afraid the watch had bitten then dust. Calls to the Omega showroom and service centre on Bond Street suggested that massive and expensive surgery was in order and that it would take a minimum of two weeks to complete. But when I called Alsal, I began to feel relief almost immediately. No problem, they said. I brought my watch in and less than two hours later, all was well in the world again. And all for only £10! This little shop is something rare in London -- family owned, friendly and so helpful. Located conveniently in the Strand, near the Royal Courts of Justice, they installed a new watch battery for me in about two minutes, but also did a fiddly bit of repair on a piece of costume jewellery which had great sentimental value to me, although it was just an inexpensive trinket. They do all sorts of watch work, but also have quite a nice selection of it items for sale. Highly recommended. read more

Absolutely superb service! I went to Alsal for a watch repair. I was immediately helped when I walked in, and the repair took two minutes maximum.
