Normally it's the kind of thing a place does for free, but I would have been happy to pay a nominal pound or two. Unfortunately the elderly gentleman here asked me for £5 and then went on a rant about his rent when I questioned it. No doubt the work was done efficiently, but I was weirded out about how I was treated by him. The spot is really old and run-down too, so I wouldn't return - but I do respect that he has the right to run his business the way he wants to.

I walked away with two watches, the decider and the number cruncher. The "remember you will die" watch is definitely a conversation piece and thought provoking but I was afraid it would draw me down a dark dark rabbit hole if I looked at that everyday. I will stick with my whimsical number cruncher.

I love the stock and service this little independent treasure trove has to offer!…read moreI live in Glasgow and sourced a Jacey Withers piece to their fab website, I called to ask advice and if it could be posted to me etc and found the co-owner Jutta to be so helpful and genuine. The pendant was sent the very next day gift wrapped and in time for our wedding anniversary. I am glad in a way they are situated in London as if they were in Glasgow I would have serious problems resisting some of the pieces. Just great to see independents in High Streets full of blah.

**June 2022: Late Afternoon Friday Visit**…read more My friend and I were walking down Monmouth St. and I was enamored by the beautiful window display. The jewelry were bright and bold and evoke such Betsey Johnson vibes except with an emphasis on acrylic as their creative medium. We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner. Can't wait to see more of their beautiful collection!

First of all, they failed to mention that the engraving on my wedding band would vanish (covered in rhodium)! When I asked about this, I was told they know better. This is unacceptable! Perhaps why the lady at the desk told me to never remove my ring from my finger - so that I wouldn't see their mistake! Next, I gave them my favorite ring to repair, as it had bent from being so fragile and thin. The difference was barely noticeable and after wearing it once, once of the diamonds fell out! I do not recommend this place at all. Please beware. They seem like nice enough folks, but I don't recommend the work.

Within this white walled warehouse space you will come across dresses built up out of lace, bunches of white rice paper roses and soft chains of jewellery. There is an organic theme tying the shop together, lightly fragranced by incense and structured in a mystical, meandering way with pieces hanging from the ceiling, on the floor and in all the spaces in between. During the week Story is open by appointment only but on a Sunday is open from 1pm. Hidden behind an overgrown willowy plant makes finding this shop even more of a delight.
