The jewelry were bright and bold and evoke such Betsey Johnson vibes except with an emphasis on acrylic as their creative medium. We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner. I do not know much about jewellery but I do know Charles Horner's work, as my best friend is from Halifax, where he begun his business over 100 years ago. I was delighted to see his pieces, as you can imagine they are not cheap they can range from £100- over £500 so I could only browse. However, there a re many more pieces than can be found for less than £100. There is a lot of clutter and it can look a bit messy, which can be detrimental to the beautiful jewellery the shop has. I stumbled across Kemble Jewellers and entered because there was a poster displaying a prize draw for a watch. After being greeted with a friendly smile, I wrote my name and email address on a business-sized card and put it in the basket. I did not have to buy anything. Imagine my delight, when the following Friday after a hard week of work I had an email telling me I'd won! I went in to Kembles to collect and the watch exceeded expectations - it's exquisite! A GUESS Denim men's watch worth about 140 Pounds. The friendly member of staff took my photograph for the facebook page. I put about 1 Pound in the charity tin. What a happy day. The watch is beautiful and what a useful prize.

As much as I love the boyfriend (now fiance), and as good as he is with the gift-buying, an engagement ring is a pretty big gift, and I just wanted to be able to at least hint at what I hoped for, since I had a few specifics in mind. I knew I didn't want a diamond, I knew I wanted the stone to be set in the band (I had visions of a stone snagging on every surface in my house). . . I also wanted to make sure the materials used for my ring were ethically sourced. Stephen Einhorn fit the bill perfectly. As soon as I saw the Times Square ring, I was in love. When I saw it with a pink sapphire, I was head over heels. And now, many months later, I am happy to say that it is the most attractive part of my dry, winter-ravaged hands. Sigh. To note, the fiance said that it was exactly what he'd had in mind before I showed it to him. So I just did the legwork. Of course I can't really comment on the customer service or ordering process or anything like that. Most of the stuff, however, didn't look worth the price marked on it. The inside although spacious looked empty and unwelcoming, the staff didn't seem particularly friendly. In my opinion, go to Hatton Garden if you want better quality diamonds at the right price.
