The jewelry were bright and bold and evoke such Betsey Johnson vibes except with an emphasis on acrylic as their creative medium. We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner. I do not know much about jewellery but I do know Charles Horner's work, as my best friend is from Halifax, where he begun his business over 100 years ago. I was delighted to see his pieces, as you can imagine they are not cheap they can range from £100- over £500 so I could only browse. However, there a re many more pieces than can be found for less than £100. There is a lot of clutter and it can look a bit messy, which can be detrimental to the beautiful jewellery the shop has. After being greeted with a friendly smile, I wrote my name and email address on a business-sized card and put it in the basket. I did not have to buy anything. Imagine my delight, when the following Friday after a hard week of work I had an email telling me I'd won! I went in to Kembles to collect and the watch exceeded expectations - it's exquisite! A GUESS Denim men's watch worth about 140 Pounds. The friendly member of staff took my photograph for the facebook page. I put about 1 Pound in the charity tin. What a happy day. Most of the stuff, however, didn't look worth the price marked on it. The inside although spacious looked empty and unwelcoming, the staff didn't seem particularly friendly. In my opinion, go to Hatton Garden if you want better quality diamonds at the right price.
