There are about 20 traders & stalls here offering antiques and crafts; textiles, art deco jewellery, glass, china, miniatures and so much more. I especially liked 3D greeting cards, depicting miniature worlds produced by Karrie Barron cards. At another stall, they sell some stunning miniature boxes. I especially loved the art deco and Victorian style jewellery - and will go back to buy!! There are some lovely porcelain pieces for avid collectors. It is such a hidden place that you can easily miss it. I was really happy I found this place - it's such a collector's heaven and the prices are so much better than what you would pay in Portobello market or elsewhere in London. Also all the stallholders are so friendly and helpful! This is one of those secret London attractions that you have to discover for yourself and I highly recommend you do! It's amazing!

If I remember correctly they had Indian, Chinese, Jamaican, Italian and something else. The market itself is quite quirky and if I'm honest a bit of a tourist trap. In the sense that prices don't quite beat other markets such as Camden or Portabello. But I guess it depends what your after. Atmosphere though is fantastic. Especially in the summer, you can sit down with a ice cream or coffee and people spot whilst enjoying some of the free street performances. There is also a band located in the basement which fills the air with familiar classical tunes. In the winter the atmosphere is very different, warm, cosy and bustling.

The Junk Shop is an Aladdin's cave of rubbish/treasure on Greenwich South Street. The stock varies from biographies and historical artifacts (mainly right wing paraphernalia- a Daily Mail series on the modern monarchy, an enormous hardback on the Third Reich and a Thatcher biography) Amongst all the military-themed bits of tat, there are actually some very good finds- there were some cool old 1950s Christmas cards, some 1960s newspapers in excellent condition and some beautiful vintage postcards. It is a funny old place but definitely worth a rummage through.

If you can't have those other wishes granted, you might as well pop over to Make a Wish. This place is filled with the most random bits of antiques and vintage you could hope to find. In a recent expedition there, I saw a large volume on Tin Tin, cufflinks shaped with tap nozzles saying 'hot' and 'cold', antique clocks and more. Sadly, no genies in any of the old bottles, but hey, my name isn't Aladdin. Not only was it so full with objects that it was delightful to dig around, but the shop keeper was lovely as having running water in your flat (read: VERY lovely). I chatted with her while I browsed around and enjoyed our little conversation. So go out, be Vasco da Gama and discover this little known country of Make a Wish. May not swing you around the African cape to India, but it will be an adventure nonetheless.

When there in early June, it has everything from new mugs to vintage glass bottles to old road signs to bigger trunks and furniture-like items. For printing, it seemed to be mid-range. Some of the vintage bottles were in the ballpark of £10-12, mid-sized trunks and other vintage items were £50-100 (depending on what it was), while some more noteworthy items were several hundred pounds. I definitely recommend taking a look if you like vintage items since its a bit of a treasure trove.

I've never ventured this far in Camden and so I was quite surprised and how alladins cave like this section of Camden is compared to all the cut price London souvenirs and generic tshirt stores on the outside. The markets date back to 1854 and have been loving restored. It's worth walking through, even if you don't buy a thing.

So maybe getting up at 4am is the best, as visiting at 9am (A REASONABLE HOUR, THANK YOU) meant that that Square was perhaps 1/2 full of stalls. Maybe the early bird does indeed, catch the worm but I shall never know. Anyway, this Market happens on Friday AM's. There are stalls selling acres of china, silver cutlery, lace and that one stall that sells royal commemorative tat that I salivate over. Not much furniture, mostly small collectible things. There's also a food stall or two, plus a nearby (slightly ghetto) Sainsbury's.

I am being completely truthful when I say that 5am on a Friday is really the only time to go to…read morethis market. Because it is an antique dealers' market and not a regular vintage/antique market, deals go quickly. There are hundreds of high quality and reasonably priced stalls selling an overwhelming array of goods. I have only done it twice when it first opens but it is best seen before dawn when you see people examining their goods with torches and the lights from their phones.
