Fast friendly service. Staff is very helpful in making selections and happy to let you try a sample if you're not sure about a flavor . It can get a bit noisy due to crowds but not overwhelming . Plenty of parking . I try different flavors but always come back to the black raspberry chip . Yummy!

We visited Graeter's on Breckinridge Lane and had a wonderful experience. The store was exceptionally clean, which immediately stood out, and the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Service was quick, and of course the ice cream was absolutely delicious. Graeter's never disappoints, but this location really made the visit feel enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend if you are in Louisville and craving something sweet.

Great staff and easy access for a quick sweet treat. Sad they were out of peach, but the lemon meringue came in for a close second!

Stopped for dessert after our evening meal meeting up with family. I have a sever egg allergy but our server took great care of me. She got a fresh scooper, opened a new sorbet so there wouldn't be any cross contamination Thank you for going above- I'm sorry I didn't get your name. I had raspberry sorbet while everyone else had the ice cream. Our family from Oregon loved the large chunks of chocolate in his ice cream. We sat out doors and watched some of the fireworks going off.

In the St Matthews neighborhood for a taco and decided to walk over for a scoop of ice cream. Ordered a single scoop of black cherry chocolate chip and requested it in a sugar cone. I was given both but my scoop was turned upside down in a cup, and when I had a puzzled face I was told the new requirements were to put it in a cup. Odd - because I was also offered a purchase of a more expensive waffle cone? Y'all, it was the most pitiful single scoop I've ever had. Other places have bigger kids scoops. Next time I'll take my money to the grocery store. Too much competition these days for a lackluster experience.

Graeter's Ice Cream in Louisville, Kentucky. Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with rainbow sprinkles! Absolutely delicious! Excellent service and plenty of parking.

Nice space filled with tons of balloon choices, stuffed animals, Graeter's ice cream, lots of fudge choices, and specialty truffles, bonbons, etc... I am not a fan of chocolate, etc, but I could appreciate the detail, presentation and most certainly the taste these beauties contained. I got a delicious and refreshing raspberry sorbet, and my husband got the bourbon ball (?) ice cream, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Both employees were friendly and helpful while we made our choices. We ate them at their table outside. From the other reviews I read after we went there, they seem like a fantastic small business, so patronize them!

Their truffles looked beautiful, so I decided to order a small box to go. I got carrot cake, dark champagne, s'mores, and peanut butter chocolate (that wasn't the name, but the flavor profile is like Reese's). I haven't tried them yet, but they look and smell good, and I know they'll be excellent. All the while, I had excellent conversation with the staff there -- I didn't catch her name though. Swing by if you're in town!

We especially loved the heart shaped red hot candies. They give out samples to taste. The red hots are perfect! Not burn your mouth hot! I bought several bags to take home to friends in California. We enjoyed exploring the museum room with all of the candy tins from years past. They have original candy making equipment and all of the history to offer a nostalgic experience. Be sure to try the marshmallow, chocolate carmel and pecan treat. The Modjeskas definitely came home with us to share with family and friends. I love these little town treasures!

Now, imagine the nuggets were sold by the pound, and you paid for the extra ones you didn't want. I fully accept the fact that I might be wrong, but when I sat down just outside, I found more than I'd expected/wanted, and I paid for it. Okay... maybe it was an "oopsie-doodle", it was near my birthday, so all is forgiven. What about the chocolates? I can't deny that the selection is amazing, however, where it comes to quality, I have to admit I was not blown away. That isn't to say I felt they weren't great - they were! At the same time, there are other candy stores with similar products and concepts whose products are no worse. So, what does that leave us with? Schimpff's Confectionery is a very good, old-timey candy store. However, while I can't say their ranking as #1 best candy store in America in 2025 by USA Today is undeserved. However, I personally wouldn't go too far out of my way to get some of their chocolate candies.

The Sweet Spot is less edgy (you won't find any "Fidel Castro's Havana Banana" soda here) but just as delightful for all ages - perhaps most of all for the adults who are fresh off a "Kentucky High-5" from Against the Grain down the street. Whether you're after regular packaged candy or the fancy glass-counter offerings, you'll find that the selection here is well above average. The staff is terrific and the prices really aren't bad for a specialty store like this. My favorite part is the soda cooler, which is reasonable at two bucks a bottle and contains some genuinely unexpected regional favorites. A visit to The Sweet Spot is your chance to finally try Double Cola in a glass bottle, enjoy a taste of Kansas City with some Atomic Fizz, or embrace your inner Evansvillian with some West Side Water (a.k.a. Ski). If you start regularly walking Bardstown Road, you just might find yourself visiting The Sweet Spot more than you expect. A true delight.

The storefront is the cutest with pink motif colors... pink awning, pink doors, pink signage. Inside is nostalgic. They have pre-packaged candy as well as candy by the pound. I ended up getting some chocolate dipped Oreos, sprinkled in edible glitter, for my kids, who went nuts over them. (I maybe snuck a bite too!) I love taking time to explore New Albany, to see what new-to-me shops I can discover. The New Albany Sugar Shoppe was a highlight during my recent trip across the river.
