I had no idea that there was Graeter's near Polaris, not did I realize they had so many flavors now. I also did not know that this location had a drive thru....But they DO! To all of that. I was looking for a good shake. I drove towards Chik Fil A as my kids like their shakes. Well, right next door was Graeters! No brainer to get a shake from Gaeters vs well, really anywhere. My husband and I have been fans of Graeter's Ice Cream for years. It is good. It is now so ridiculously expensive that we won't be back. My husband got a one dip dish, $6. You can buy an entire pint for $6.95. I got a one dip sundae, $7.50. Although the website lists a two dip turtle sundae at $7.50, I was charged $7.50 for a one dip chocolate sundae. We feel very sorry for families buying ice cream there. Graeters makes Culver's look like a delicious bargain! read more

I have been to several other locations of Graeter's, but it was the first time coming to this Polaris shop, which is located across the street from Kroger and next to Chick-Fil-A. The staff here is friendly and patient. We came in after 10pm, because my friends came in from out of town in the evening. The shop closes at 11pm; however, we were not rushed and left right before closing. This ice cream shop is a staple in the Columbus area and is very nostalgic for my friends and I as we used to frequent it in our childhood through adolescence after every large party from the 90's onward. We carry the tradition now by still meeting for their ice cream when we all reunite. The scoops are very big and honestly one scoop is filling after a meal. I usually get the Buckeye Blitz flavor here. It is the only chocolate flavored ice cream I eat. The cookie dough is another favorite. I have purchased the cookie dough ice cream cake multiple times before and it is very good and a summer time hit. read more

I was there buying two pints of ice cream. I went to check out and no one seems to notice me. I was there for more than a minute and I was the only person in line while several people were scooping ice cream. I think the manager was there. Poor Service. It is the management problem. Slow night. Post carfagna's ice cream. My son and I dropped in for a couple scoops of ice cream. I mean, it was slow, only a couple people on staff, and she was quick to serve and super friendly. Not much more you could expect! They are full service - we grabbed a quart of ice cream Togo for the brother that stayed behind. I always love coming to Graeter's, as everybody knows is a staple in Columbus!! I love it, but just not worth the price anymore! Your best bang for your buck is honestly getting the "To Go" ice cream products! I got the 1870 tower with black raspberry chip ice cream, chocolate fudge (which I substituted chocolate syrup for), walnuts, whip cream and a cherry!! It was amazing, but $8.50, I just did not think it was worth that. I never thought it would be that expensive! I would rather go to UDF, Dairy Queen or Whit's for much cheaper!! Graeter's makes some of the best ice cream ever! You can't go wrong with their vanilla bean and Dutch milk chocolate. They do the classic flavors better than most. Other flavors I love are their seasonal flavors Boldly Bearcat and Mint Cookie (aka mint Oreo). My only complaint is that the seasonal flavors aren't around long enough!!! The staff at this location are always so friendly and helpful. The parking lot can be awkward to navigate because they are right next to a Chick-Fil-A, and they both get very busy. read more

We went to Graeter's on ice cream day when they celebrated their anniversary with $1.47 ice creams. We got the famous black raspberry chip, black cherry chip, and buckeye chip. This Graeter's has a drive through! I have never seen that before . And for a Monday night it was actually pretty steady even though it was cold out. Staff was friendly and attentive . First time trying Graeters tonight while in town for the Arnold and WOW, talk about some real ice cream. I'll be sad going back to the West coast after vacation. Every staff member and the manager was extremely friendly, helpful and were genuinely excited to be there!! I stopped in kind of late on a Friday night with my little one. While waiting in line she mentioned how she wanted the silly face kids sundae and I told her since it was late it was better if we just shared an order of ice cream....a double scoop! Second time having graeters and and while it was okay it wasn't the best ice cream ever. Most recently I tried the bourbon and pecan with chocolate chips and the bourbon flavor was so over powering I couldn't even finish it. I tried a few other flavors from family members at the table and they were better. The chocolate and cherries tasted like eating the queen Anne cherries they sell during the holidays. The peach was a bit strong, but the coffee was pretty good, not too strong. The last time I went I got peppermint with chocolate chips and it had a watered down taste to the flavor. I'm not sure if its just because I'm from Texas and we're used to blue bell, but this place just wasn't for me. read more

Oooh how I love Graeter's Ice Cream. I used to go here at least 3 times a week and had to cut back. I always order two banana split, one for now and one for later. The drive-thru line is long but it goes by fast so don't get discouraged when you see the line wrapped two times around the building.
