With the stress of making a cross-country family move, deciding between moving companies, U-haul…read morerental trucks or freight companies was difficult at first. After lots of phone calls, estimates, and Yelp reviews research to others, I decided to give U-pack a try. BEST decision ever!!! From the initial call to Daniel with customer service to final calls with Laura from the local freight hub, the whole experience was top notch. The price to move from Los Angeles area to south Louisiana was $2800, much cheaper than Uhaul or any moving company. The trailer was dropped off on time, and assistance to have it picked up on a Sunday was offered. They really went out of their way to help us get it delivered on time before a long Memorial Day holiday weekend. The estimated delivery time was 5 to 7 business days. The actual time was 5 days, picked up on Monday and delivered on Friday! Awesome job! At time of pick up, they instantly adjusted the price to be less than initially estimated because we used less footage in the trailer. We were able to see the location of the trailer throughout the move at all times. Everything arrived in perfect shape! Very professional and customer oriented company!!! TIP- Buy plenty of moving blankets, and lots of rope to tie the load every couple of feet.

She sent me an estimate. I told them I would not be moving for several weeks to a month. They then proceeded to constantly send texts and emails, reminding me that I would have to pay a deposit. Finally, I answered one of their many calls to my phone and reminded them that I did not have a move date yet and that I was very aware that they require a deposit. Then, the next day, I get an email from them saying "oops, we sent you the wrong estimate." She stated that the quote she gave me was for a local move ($1,840/$2,070). She made a mistake and should have done it as a move to Metairie. The quote was now $2,860/$3,080. WHAT?? How unprofessional can you get??? Several years ago, TMAAT had contacted me about doing a fundraiser for an animal rescue I am with. THEY contacted me. We were all very excited. Then they basically ghosted us, never called us back, didn't return our calls. I was not going use them for my move, but I thought I'd give them another chance. My initial impression of them (unprofessional, unreliable) turned out to be accurate. How this company stays in business is beyond me.
