A medical condition prevented me from being able to get there physically so she helped me over phone conferences during those few months. I greatly appreciated her willingness to work with me over the phone despite the fact that it may not be the way she's used to working with people. My son ran into some issues at school being bullied at school to the point where counseling was needed. I burst into tears while even inquiring about getting an appt with him. Denise the receptionist was so sweet over the phone and said she would have Matt call me back (he was in a session) and she took it one step further by texting me his number to make it easier for me to call and leave a voicemail with my info. He called right back, set something up for the first available time he had. My son also went to speak with another counselor closer to home, but we kept our appt with Matt to see who my son felt most comfortable. Of course Matt won my son over as soon as he mentioned football and used sports analogies so my son could better understand the concepts and strategies Matt was teaching us. The other counselor we met with just listened and gave his opinions, Matt on the other hand got up, drew out a diagram that we could see and immediately was giving strategies on how to stop, walk away, and other pointers to get him in a more positive direction other than acting on his feelings and saying bad things he doesn't mean and will regret. We will continue sessions with both counselors as needed in the future. Obviously these other reviews are either old or biased. There's three sides to every story! I would recommend Matt and Jill to others.
