I…read morehad an appointment 9 days after Hurricane Erma hit the area and I was without electric for 11 days. I called and left a message stating this and now after all this time I am receiving collection calls from a collection agency for a $75.00 appointment cancellation fee. I called their office and they told me they do not call regarding these fees and turn them over to a collection agency 6 months later. Instead, the physician coded the visit as a new patient visit. When I got the bill, I called their billing service, and she was very rude and wouldn't let me know how the visit was coded. I am the patient. Then I called several times to the office and no call back. After two bill they sent my husband to collections. which made no sense. Just because my husband is the primary card holder, I was the one with the visit. Also, I was supposed to have a follow up on one of their providers and I never receive a call. The office staff state a phone call was made, if so, then why I don't I have a voice mail.
